With that, everyone left the sitting room, leaving just Madam Victoria and her grandson. As Ivy walked out, she scrutinized Damian. Rather than everyone concluding that he cleared the room because it was a private matter, he didn't really want everyone to know about his family's empire.

But for Ivy, she could easily see his insecurities crawling all over his skin. She could tell that was the most important reason he cleared the room. He didn't want everyone to hear Madam Victoria spell out his flaws to their faces, especially Ivy's.

Walking through the hallway, she slowed down her steps, hoping to hear any arguments or sentences, but she didn't hear anything. Meanwhile, Leon was in front of her, slowing down his own steps just to catch up with her.

He turned around, realizing she was trying to eavesdrop, and remarked, “Don’t be dumb, Ivy; it’s soundproof. You won’t hear anything.”
