What’s mine

Returning home, Catherine was sweating profusely and immediately she entered, she rushed to the kitchen to get water.

Diana was startled when she saw her. “Are you okay? Where have you been and what have you been? You didn’t go to the gym right?” Diana asked, slight envy in her voice and Catherine shook her head.

“No… I… I took a stroll around, I haven’t really seen the whole school… so I just decided to check it out…” She lied and Diana’s eyes darkened with slight discomfort.

“But I saw you entering the taxi… I was heading to the school too” Diana retorted accusingly and Catherine's eyes dropped.

“I… I’m sorry, don’t mind my words… It’s just that I’m worried about you. People here aren’t what they look like. You shouldn’t trust anyone because people are very dangerous… I’m only looking out for your safety” Diana muttered softly and she nodded.

“Thanks” Catherine muttered as she headed to the room.
