Staring at the menu he had given me yesterday,

I couldn’t help but grin to myself foolishly. I can’t believe I’d be sticking to the menu.

The menu was easy to follow and it felt like he was going very lightly on me because all it said was cut back on junk food, eat less sandwiches and take very little food with calories.

It looked impossible to follow but I was determined to follow it diligently, I was going to make him proud…

“What’s that?” Diana asked when she noticed that I was smiling and staring at the paper. “Nothing… Just a rough draft” I replied as I threw the paper in my bag immediately. I had lied about going for a walk yesterday and I didn’t want my cover to be blown.

I felt guilty for lying to her but I needed to do this, for myself and Cora. “I’m off” I muttered as I walked out and she nodded without a word.

Heading to school, I felt like a new person, I felt energized and refreshed. Professor Justin had just given me hope that I can be anybody I want.
