"Would you be kind enough to please give me some time?" I asked when he paced around the kitchen. We had been on the subject for a very long time and he wasn't giving me a reasonable response to the question that I had asked earlier. I needed him to agree to this at least so that we would both know the way forward with our lives. I will give anything to be his friend but I don't think I'm ready for any sort of relationship at the moment. Maybe in the future when everything is sorted out in my life, I might reconsider but for now, I don't think I want to.
