Chapter 128

I woke up the next morning feeling completely tired and drained. My hangover had gotten worse and the migraine hit me as though I stumbled upon an avalanche last night. I should have listened to Mike when he told me not to have any more drinks but I was too stubborn and nursing my broken heart that I didn't give him a listening ear. Now I look like a wreck. As if a train just ran over me on the tracks.

Pushing myself out of the bed, I made my way into the bathroom to have my bath. I stood under the shower and let the cold water cascade down my body from my head to my toe. I felt a bit refreshed after having my bath and then, I proceeded to pick out an outfit to wear to work today. I glanced at the clock in my bedroom only to realise that I was almost late for work. If I don't leave on time then I wouldn't be able to make it at all. This isn't how I had envisioned my day to go but I had been drunk out of my mind so it's not like I expected to wake up early even if I wanted to.
