Chapter seven

Savanah turned her head to look at the hospital and the thought of seeing her brother when she was in so much pain hunted her. She hesitated as she took a step forward and turned back to face the road. 

 " I can't go in like this. I can't let the doctor or anyone inside the hospital see me this way. " She told herself and immediately stopped another taxi. 

 She wouldn't let anyone ask her any question that would increase her pain. 

 While inside the taxi, she thought of where to go. It would be a bad idea if she decided to go home when she was feeling so down and she did not want to risk the state of her mind. 

 " I should go to Lucy's side instead. " She mumbled and described the location to the driver. 

  On getting to Lucy's house, she was surprised to see Lucy waiting impatiently in front of her house and she immediately walked over to her. 

 " Lucy..." She called gently, attracting the attention of the bothered Lucy.

 Lucy turned her head abruptly and her eyes lit up the moment she saw Savanah. 

 " Ah! Savanah, I've been very worried! Are you okay?" She asked with pure concern on her face as she placed her two hands on Savanah's shoulders. 

 Savanah's eyes twitched and she searched Lucy's eyes. " What are you on about? Did you hear anything or were you thinking I would kill myself?" She asked. 

 Lucy immediately shook her head and took a step back. " Actually, my friend that went for an interview at Andy's company told me she saw you walk out of the hospital with anger and sadness in your eyes. That scared me and I've been thinking of where to get you but I'm glad you are here right in front of me. " She replied.

 " Shall we go in?" Savanah asked after sighing deeply. Hearing Andy's name brought back the sadness she had tried to hide behind her mind and she wanted nothing more than relaxing her head at the moment. 

 Lucy immediately nodded her head and took Savanah's hand. " Yes, let's go in." She replied and took Savanah's bag as they both entered her house. 

 She offered Savanah a glass of cold water before sitting down beside her. " Tell me, what did he say? Were you able to tell him about the baby?" She asked. 

 Lucy knew Savanah had no good news with the mood she saw her in and she was certain something bad had happened but her curiosity still took the best of her and she couldn't help but ask that question. 

 Savanah let out a sad deep breathe and relaxed her head. She raised her head and closed her eyes. " I told you I didn't want to go. I told you he's no good man and he is nothing but a common dirty piece of trash but you trusted him. " She said and paused. 

 " You told me to think about my condition and go to him but could you believe that the motherf*cker actually berated me and even called me a liar?!"

 " What?!" Lucy exclaimed with her hands covering her mouth. If anyone had told her this, she wouldn't have believed it but the one saying it was her best friend and she knew Savanah would never tell a lie. 

 Savanah explained all that happened to her and Lucy was so shocked that her mouth opened wide!

 " I never knew he is such a lowlife jerk! How could he?! How..." She started cussing but was cut off by the ringing of Savanah's phone. 

 Savanah checked the caller and her eyes darkened when she realized it was the doctor. " I guess he is calling to talk about money again." She mumbled sadly before answering the call. 

 " Hello, doctor Kyle..." She said gently. 

 " Miss Savanah, This is urgent, you have to..." 

 Savanah dropped her phone and let out a deep breathe. She need not listen to the content to know what the doctor wanted to say. She couldn't end the call but she did not want to talk either. So, the best action was to just drop the phone and let the doctor continue talking to space. 

 " That's the doctor again? " Lucy questioned no one in particular and her fingers ran through her hair. 

 She was just as frustrated as Savanah right now and she wished she was rich enough to help her out but unfortunately, she wasn't. 

 After thinking for a while, a thought came into her head and she smiled. 

 " I've got a solution..." she mumbled.

 Savanah stopped in front of a very big restaurant and gasped. This was the first time she was seeing this restaurant live and she was impressed. 

 The emotion only lasted for a while before she cleared her throat and strode toward the restaurant while hoping and praying in her heart. 

 This kind of restaurant wouldn't allow just anyone to enter and that was why Lucy had made sure to dress her up nicely, even applying light make up on her already pretty face to enhance her beauty even more but she was still worried. 

 She stopped in front of the Securities but they all bowed to greet her before showing her the way which she immediately took after saying some words of gratitude toward the securities. 

 " The idiot is over there. " She mumbled to herself as her eyes captured the silhouette of Andy entering the restaurant and she immediately increased her pace in order to catch up to him. 

 " I don't know how Lucy knew he would be here but I'm glad I didn't have to come here for nothing. " She mumbled inwardly as she got closer and closer to Andy. 

 " Hey Scumbag!" She called irritatedly as soon as she got beside Andy.

 " Huh?..." Like he already knew that was his name, Andy turned his head and was shocked to see Savanah trying to steady her breathing as she held on to his suit with sweat dripping down her flustered face.
