Aria's POV

"Ava?" He slowly approaches me with a confused look on his face. I stagger backward, feeling slightly uncomfortable at the way he draws closer to me. Something about his presence scares me, maybe it is because of the several men dressed in black that surround him or the way his piercing hazel eyes bore into my soul. I may not know this man at all but one thing I am certain for sure is that he is a very powerful person.

He finally freezes in front of me and I can still see the shock in his eyes. Where did Ava meet him?

"It is really you." He mumbles, his voice is rough and hoarse. I gulp a lump down my throat and hastily shake my head at him in disagreement. In order to clear the misconception, I hastily correct him. "My name is not Ava but Aria, I am Ava's twin sister." I mutter.

Suddenly I watch his face change entirely from shock to disbelief. He chokes out a bitter laughter and shakes his head at me. I understand if he is finding it difficult to believe me, Ava and I look alike a whole lot, it is so hard for people to differentiate us. The only thing that makes us different is our birth marks which are not on obvious parts of our skin.

"You think this is a joke?" He suddenly blurts out, I watch him loosen his tie and loose the first two buttons of his shirt.

"N-o, No.." I stutter. I see it as pointless trying to explain myself to this arrogant guy when i have more important things to do like finding my family. I ignore his hysteric laughter and attempt to walk away but his next words cause me to halt in my steps.

"I am not falling for your evil schemes this time Ava." He mutters through gritted teeth. Even before I can give him a response. He beats me to it by yelling "bodyguards! Seize her now!"

My mouth widens in shock as the men dressed in black rush towards me. They pull me by the wrist and slowly drag me towards a black SUV car parked by the side of the black convertible.

"Let me go!" I yell as they yank my arm and pull me like a prisoner. People passing by pretend like nothing is going on which only means one thing, this man is truly a powerful person. They successfully push me into the back seat and lock the car door leaving me alone in the car.

I struggle to pull the car door open but i barely have the strength. I gaze through the car window and watch this man bark orders at his bodyguards. The only thing I am able to pick is his instructions to drive me straight to the mansion. What mansion and why am I being taken away?

The door to the driver's seat opens wide, one of the bodyguards hop in, he starts the car and the other bodyguards join me in the back seat. The driver starts the car and zooms far away from the hospital with my cries unheard.

The drive to this so called mansion is a long one. Throughtout the drive, I try to plead my innocence to the bodyguards. "I am not Ava I swear on my life. I am Aria, Ava's twin sister. I just woke up from a coma now and a lot is going on right now that is so confusing and overwhelming for me." I rant with tears rolling down my cheeks.

They pull the car into a stop in front of a large driveway, there are other luxurious cars parked in the driveway. Even before I can take my time to admire the house, the bodyguards drag me to the back of the house. They push the back door open and throw me into the hallways full with maids and butlers lurking around.

"Please help!" I yell but surprisingly for me, they all pretend like I do not exist. All the maids and butlers pass by, turning a deaf ear to my pleas.

"Shut up or I shut you up myself." One of the guards yells at me. His voice is deep and scary, not to mention his muscular build is enough to silence me. I get dragged into a large room. There is a mini parlour where the flat screen TV displays soccer. I am totally uninterested in the boyish aesthetics of the room but mostly concerned about my freedom.

In some minutes time, the man who ordered his bodyguards to seize me, steps into the room with a huge scowl on his face. He locks the door behind him and gazes at me with death glares. "Why did you do it? Everything you did to me? Tell me why you did it!" He roars angrily.

I crawl backward with tears streaming down my cheeks. "I do not understand what you are talking about." I cry out.

"You fucking slut! You criminal! You scammed me and ran away with all of my money." He spits out bitterly. At that moment, I become quiet and start to ponder deeply on his words. Did Ava really do that to this man? Did she steal his money? That does not sound like something that my twin sister would do, I trust her well enough.

"You pretended to love me. Just so you could get closer to me and steal my money!" His face is red with anger, I catch him clenching his fist tight causing his veins to become so obvious. He seems to be in so much pain but I begin to doubt Ava. Could she really have done that?

"Look here." He pauses to step closer to me and flash the screen of his phone in my face. "This is an arrest warrant for scamming me. I am going to make sure you go to jail and pay for messing with me! Damon Stones!"
