Iori stood there staring at him for a moment, somehow, he seemed… upset. Deeply so.
“Is everything okay?” She asked him
He looked at her for a moment seeming startled,
“Yeah, why?” he asked straightening up and approaching her,
“You seem to be kind of off… Did something happen?”
“Nothing worth mentioning. The usual annoying pests that’s all…” He told her, “More importantly, did you read the latest release from that magazine? It has a sequel of the story we talked about back then!”
“Yeah,” Iori admitted accepting how he changed the subject, she wasn’t about to force him to tell her what was bothering him. He would talk if and when he was ready and she will be there to listen when that happened,
“I couldn’t have imagined that that side character would be so interesting. He was always quiet in the background all the time.
Jun’s heart fluttered in his chest and he felt like his feet didn’t touch the ground anymore. Her beautiful eyes had lowered in shy approval making Jun almost lose the little hold he had on his control. Somehow, he knew that this was her first kiss even before their lips met.And the fact that she willingly gave it to him made him feel like he was ten feet taller and could carry mountains and run with them. This was how much he cherished her. Not as a conquest, but a special person whom he cared for more than he did for anyone before. This was the person he had fallen in love with.Jun pressed his lips to hers savoring the sweetness of the moment. Her soft fleshy lips made him want to bite them, but instead, he gently nipped at them until she opened them for him allowing him entrance. There was a level of exhilaration that he had never felt before. A rush of barely restrained energy and excitement filled him.Ever so slowly, Jun pulled
Iori sat there stunned for a long while her mind blank and her body feeling like it was on the clouds surrounded by fluffiness and warmth. Her hand reached up to touch her lips o so tenderly careful not to disturb the tingling remain of the presence of his lips against hers and she smiled to herself. It was her first kiss… Her very first kiss. And even though she lacked experience or comparison material she knew that it had been a phenomenal first kiss. A kiss that made her feel cherished and wanted at the same time…By the time Iori’s mind was present enough to realize anything around her it was already past the first period’s time. Sighing, she leaned back on the shelves picking up one of the books and starting to read it.She would deal with her absence and Shun’s annoyance later.Iori’s phone pinged just as she was starting to get into the book, a text from her brother.“Where are you?”&
Jun dashed out of class as soon as the bell rang. He was all but running into the corridor when Shou appeared in front of him.“Hi!” He called out.“Where did you go?” Jun asked him feeling restless for some reason.“Just looking up your mystery girl. There was a little bit of a hard game going on so I wanted to make sure of everything. I wanted to call you back then but there was no way of getting you out of class sorry man,”“What do you mean?” Jun asked his heart sinking at the way Shou was looking at him.“She left…” Shou said“What do you mean she left?” Jun asked not processing what Shou was saying“I don’t know what happened, but, before I could talk to anyone, someone from her family came to pick her up along with that guy she’s always with. I still have to look it up but it has something to do with her family and she had to transf
Iori checked her phone one more time before finally putting it down on her desk and leaving the room in frustration. It had been a week since she left school and since then she had been practically confined to the main house since then. Her father filled half of her time with private tutors and the other half with all the dutied he had been grooming her to take over for a while now. She would have been fine with this before if she hadn’t spent that short while in school. But now it was different. Iori was still hopefully waiting for him to call her, still looking at her phone every freaking minute expecting to see a text, a call or even a voice message. But, nothing came… “What’s with that long face?” A female voice said as Iori was walking down the corridor with deadly intent toward whoever was unfortunate enough to talk to her in this mood. She glared at her aunt who was sitting in the garden smoking away at a pack of cigarettes probably hid
Jun tapped his foot on the floor as he listened to Emi talk. She’d been like this for more than twenty minutes and if it wasn’t for a reason Jun would have told her to screw off the minute he’d seen her face a few minutes earlier.“I told you more than once that Japan isn’t worth staying in it. Seriously, look how the media are drooling over you like this just because of a casual fling with a work associate. They’re already marrying you two…”Jun bit back the retort that Iori wasn’t his work associate. Damn these words were supposed to make Iori look and feel bad, but it was him who got tickled each time he heard them. Because he knew how easily they could turn from an accusation to reality.Jun didn’t want to think about it. He didn’t want to think about how close to possible it was for his relationship with Iori to turn into merely work associates.“I know that you have an image to
“What do you want me to do?” Emi asked eagerly as Jun leaned back taking one more sip from his glass. He should call it quit. He didn’t want to go back to Iori drunk. He’d been drinking nonstop for hours now. It should be catching up with him sometime soon.“You and Tohru are still in contact. I want you to lure him into doing something for me…” Jun told her.“What kind of things?”“Since he seems obsessed with my father and me. Why don’t you suggest a way to make him dell that kind of information… Perhaps to an interested party…”“You want him to sell information about you to a publisher?” Emi asked“Yes, that’s exactly what I want him to do…” Jun answered,“What if he decides to sell more things than what you’re willing to share?”“That’s why you’re there. I want you t
Iori was startled when the door keys started beeping. She hadn’t expected Jun to be back for another few hours. She heard the door opening and headed for it to greet him. Jun was leaning against the door his face gushed and his clothes wet from the rain.“I’m home,” he said with a delirious smile making Iori wonder just how drunk he was. She had never seen Jun drunk before. They drank together often especially after a deadline, but he had never gotten drunk. His alcohol tolerance was usually high.“Welcome home. You’re drenched, come in and change out of your clothes before you catch a cold.” Iori told him as she walked toward him.As soon as she got close to him, close enough to reach out for him. He grabbed her around the waist pulling her into him and burying his face into her neck and sighing deeply.“Hey, Jun. Is everything okay?” Iori asked him patting his back.“Everything is
It’s been two hours and Jun’s fever wasn’t going down. Iori wiped away the sweat running down his forehead with a cool towel and sighed. If this goes on like this, she was going to have to take him to the hospital.Iori didn’t know if it was tiredness or the amount of alcohol he consumed but he had been out cold all this time. Not even stirring as the fever ravaged his body. Iori tried to get as much water and fluids into him as well as medicine, but still, his temperature wasn’t showing any sign of going down.Iori went to stand up to change the towel and see if she would find something to bring his body temperature down. But a strong hand grabbed her hand not letting her go.She turned around to find Jun looking at her with half opened eyes,“Where are you going? Stay with me…” He whispered“I’m just going to change the towel and find something to bring down your fever,” Iori said
