"Take the woman to the hospital and stay away from this fight. The monster was already getting out of hand and he doesn't care if he could hurt anyone." I replied before I forced my knees to stand up and dragged Jackson back to the car by force.

But as soon as I had started the engine of the car, Jackson called out to me, his voice urgent as he pointed a finger towards the Wendigo monster running away in the distance. And my werewolf instinct kicked in that I must follow Eric, no matter what the cost.

"Where are you going?" Jackson yelled at me.

"Get away from here, Jackson!" I yelled back. "Take her to the hospital." Without a second thought, I dashed out of the car and morphed into my werewolf form once more, with Mr. James following close behind.

We tore down the city streets, leaving the normal world behind as we slipped into the realm of werewolf vision, where scents and sounds were amplified beyond human comprehension.

As soon as we reached the park, the

"What happened to you? Why are you naked right now? And how come you and Jackson did not show up in our classes?" Karen finally bombarded me with questions after almost an hour of traveling the streets without knowing where to head to. "It's a long story but we captured Eric and brought him to the laboratory," I said back. "But, something happened that you might not like to hear." Karen furrowed from the rearview mirror. "And what could that be?" she asked. I heaved a prolonged sigh of regret before I let out, "Mr. James... your idot mate just fucking challenged the old man. I mean, I tested his patience earlier..." "What?" Karen cut me off with several long curve lines written on her forehead. She even stepped on the brake and stopped the car in the middle of the road. "But I thought you already liked the old man?" "He ordered his werewolf guardians to kill Eric instead of helping them." I furrowed. "Nah. I don't want to talk about it anymore. Can you send me

"What are you guys doing here?" Simon asked, his glance has been marked with surprise and suspicion. "And what is this formal attire, huh? Wait, don't tell me you two were having a date in this restaurant?" "A da-date?" I rolled my eyes, trying to avoid getting eye-to-eye contact with anyone apart from Karen. "Of course not." I defensively uttered. "Karen and I just had a meal and talked about good and bad things that happened to us recently, right, Karen?" And my wolf looked like a fool when it was pretty obvious that every corner of my body was sweating and my voice was stuttering. I even dragged Karen to lie to our friends. "Yeah," Karen said, her voice was calm. Then she humbly smiled at Simon. "I see," Jackson replied. "But, why is Melvin's entire face flushing, huh? Are you guys celebrating something? Anniversary? Someone's birthday? No, it could not be. I know both of your birthdates." We don't know how did Jackson get the idea but he just hit the jackpo

  • A Werewolf Guardian Got Prank Gone Wrong   Jennie Spencer

Karen and I traveled with a thick wall that divided us in the car on our way to school. But this time, the silence was deafening and overwhelming, almost suffocating. My mind was still racing with thoughts of Jennie Spencer’s confession, and I could tell Karen’s mind was too. We met Jennie Spencer in front of my apartment building just a few moments ago, and she revealed something that shocked me to my core. Apparently, according to a supposed werewolf tradition of our pack, fated mates existed either to those who are already part of your lives since the beginning of times or those who came to you by surprise. Alpha Draku's written rules were as clear as day that fated mates should not be neglected or rejected. It was our way to uphold the balance of our kinds. I know Karen was well aware of that written rules too. But how am I supposed to do with that fated mate thing when my wolf was already mated to Karen? Does that mean I must break up with her and accept J

"But our wolves were destined mates, Melvin." Jennie insisted. "Perhaps what everyone told about you was a mistake. That you are one of those wolves who will uphold the written rules of our kind. Now I know that you're not." Jennie's face fell, and I felt a pang of guilt in my heart when her tears even dropped to her cheeks. I knew she valued such werewolf traditions, but it was not something my wolf could reciprocate. But before I could say anything else, we heard a weird sound coming from above us. It was enough to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Jennie suddenly noticed something above us. "Do you hear that?" she asked me frantically. "Hear what?" I asked, confused and panicked, then followed the point of her eyes. "There! Right above us!" she hissed, pointing upwards. "My wolf sensed danger in one of the rooms above us." We were in the middle of the elevator, with no way of reaching the top except by the stairs or pressing a number f

Female alpha? Wait. Are they referring to the same person that I have in mind? But why? As far as I am concerned, this female alpha did not expose her true identity to the public yet. I'm afraid there are only two person knows that she might be an alpha. Not even sure if she is one because her wolf was still as weak as mine. So how did they know about it? "A female alpha?" Jennie asked for clarification from her dad. "Did these immortals tell you who she is, didn't they? Who is she, Dad? Tell me." To my surprise, Mr. James looked me in the eye with utter conviction as though he already knows who Jennie was asking about. And from the way my wolf sensed from his eyes, he was asking me if it was true. "No," Mr. James replied right after he let go of his stare at me. "They don't tell me anything about her name or physical appearance apart from the name of the person who was close to this female alpha." Jennie heaved a sigh before she slide back to the door. "F

"So, what do you think about mating my daughter?" Mr. James said back in a serious tone. Even his eyes were telling me nothing but loving the idea. I paced my glance to the most portion of the field, searching for anyone familiar. "Don't get me wrong, Mr. James. Your daughter was gorgeous. I even wonder if she is really your daughter. But I will never be her mate." "Why?" he insisted. "I owned the school. Our family was loaded. And you still have two more years to be able to graduate. And I heard you are now a lone wolf. How do you think you can manage to accomplish anything in your situation?" Mr. James locked his eyes at me. His stares were humiliating. Even used my weakness to dig deeper into my heart. But it also makes me wonder how on earth he knows about me being a lone wolf. As far as I could remember, Karen and I told no one but Jackson. Right. How could he not know? We have a lot of students in the school who are part of the pack. With just one word f

Jennie admitted without even thinking, then she smiled and crossed her hand around mine before she added, "Melvin messaged me earlier to come over. Why? He did not tell you?" "Jennie, can you stop this nonsense?" I removed her hands away from me and pulled Karen closer to my chest. "No matter how hard you and your evil dad convince us to mate, that's not going to happen." "Come on, old man." I sneered shortly. "You may be the new leader of the pack but we all know your wolf is not that strong and powerful compared to the previous Alpha. In other words, your wolf is nothing but a scam." Everyone around me, including Karen, was taken aback by the sudden commotion. "You can fool everyone in the village but not me. You are the pack leader but you're not an alpha." I added. "Anyway, we are not here to make a scene." "We need the pack's help," Karen said, her trembling voice starting to ease off. "Have you guys heard about these masked men who are kidnapping..." As Karen kept on talking, my wolf quickly scanned most parts of the village as fast as possible to search for Julian and Jelian's whereabouts. It has been almost a month since the last time we saw and talk them. Karen and I extended our hands to help get back what truly belongs to them - the throne. We already failed to get the spot even if the fact that Karen much deserves to have it compared
