She said as she reached out to Sierra, who took it hesitantly.

She must be wondering why my godmother would be a witch and why we are familiar with one, given the recent circumstances.

"Tell me, dear. Did the alpha mutt tell you how he and my dear goddaughter started their relationship?" Eleanor asked.

"Eleanor... No," I warned her as Aaron released a threatening growl. My anger matched Aaron's because of her inappropriate conversation topic.

"Oh, I... heard something, but it's hard to believe seeing the way Alpha Gagliardi takes care of his mate," Sierra innocently replied, walking straight into her trap.

"Well, you'd be surprised to know—"

I didn't let Eleanor finish. I created a gust of wind to fly through a pile of dry leaves and land right on her face.

"Oh my... Eleanor, are you okay? Where did this sudden wind come from? Come on, let me take you inside and clean you up," I said as I grabbed her arms and guided her into the pack house.
