It was Savannah and Jason all over again Dylan thought as he gripped the bouquet of aster flowers he was holding crumpling the petals at the same time he felt like he was reliving his past all over again and just like before his heart had been crushed when he'd wanted to surprise Savannah only to walk in and find her in Jason’s arms and now Ella...this is just too much to bear, Dylan didn't think he could survive anymore heartbreak.
He'd held onto the last vestige of hope that she might have feelings for him but he'd thought wrong. No more he thought as he turned and walked back to the car he was done letting them make a fool out of him."Let's go Jonathan." he barked.Dylan gulped down the amber liquid in one go and relish in the temporary relief he got as it burned his throat. He allowed himself a good cry even though he didn't want to. He'd driven straight to the airport not wanting to spend one more hour in that cursed city. Dylan was unable to accept that
Ella didn't understand what was going after she recovered from her shock she picked up her phone and dialled Bryan's number and was relieved to hear him pick up. She quickly told him what happened and he was shocked as well."Have you spoken with Dylan?" she asked frantically."No. He was gone for a few days and no one knew where he went then he suddenly reappeared. I have no idea of what could've happened or why he would send you divorce papers.""I have no idea either. Bryan do you think he changed his mind? Or that he got tired of waiting?" Ella didn't want to think that that was the case."Ella, if there's any thing i'm sure of it's that Dylan loves you." Bryan assured her and Ella nodded like he could see her. "You shouldn't worry about this, i'll talk to Dylan.""Thank you Bryan."Ella still didn't feel better after that and she decided that the only possible solution was to speak with Dylan face to face and have him explain why he suddenly wants
Dylan dropped Savannah off at her aunt's house and asked Jonathan to drop him off at the apartment where he'd enjoyed his solitary moments when to his chagrin he saw Bryan waiting at the steps.Dylan walked past him and jammed the key into the lock, he twisted and pushed the door open. He switched on the lights and shrugged out of his jacket."You've been hiding out here for a while now." Bryan observed. "Is something wrong?""Things have never been better." he replied distractedly."I know you sent Ella divorce papers.""Straight to the point I see." Dylan bit out sourly as he turned to face him. "Let me ask you one question Bryan, are you my friend or Ella’s?""What do you mean?""If you're still my friend then you should be on my side." Dylan poured himself a glass of water then he walked over to the couch and sank into it.Bryan hovered over him and accused. "So you did send it deliberately. Do you really not love her?" "I don'
Ella’s heart was in her throat as she approached the place Bryan told her she could find Dylan. After the brief conversation she had with Bryan Ella knew she'd have to salvage her relationship in person and so she booked the first flight out, now here she was. Whatever they would talk about might make or break their relationship and Ella wasn't mentally prepared for another heart break. She instructed the taxi driver to stop at the address Bryan gave her and Ella got out. Because she hadn't been in the right state of mind since she left Paris Ella hadn't told her parents she was coming home and had drove here straight from the airport. She inhaled and exhaled slowly. She'd never been so afraid of losing anything in her life as much as she does now. After her little pep talk, she started towards the house then froze in her spot as she saw Dylan’s car pull to a stop in front of the house. The smile that was making its way up her lips froze on her face when she saw him pull
"Dylan what are you doing here?" Jason looked surprised at the sight of Dylan."I've decided that I'm not going to fight you over Ella anymore and all these animosity, I want it to stop because I want my best friend back." Jason looked taken aback."Dylan what are you saying?""I'm giving up Ella i've filed for an annulment. She's all yours now. Take care of her Jason because she's special." it took every ounce of courage Dylan could muster to say that."You can't do that." Jason argued. "And why are you telling me to take care of Ella?""Don't you love her?""I do but..." Jason cupped the nape of his neck. "Ella doesn't love me, she loves you." admitted finally."I saw you two kiss.""I kissed her but she told me she doesn't love me. It's you Dylan." It took a moment for Jason’s admission to sink in and Dylan didn't know what he was feeling at that moment. "You're lying to me right now aren't you?" Jason smiled in spit
"Ate you're back!" Kristina cried in surprise but then seemed to catch on that something wasn't right. "Where are going in such a hurry?""I don't have time to explain right now Kristina can you tell mom and dad that I'll be back soon?" before Kristina could respond, Ella was already out the door. She cussed as she saw the clouds gathering and there were no tricycles in sight then it began to drizzle lightly but Ella had come a long way to turn back now she needed to see him, to tell him how much she loves him. And then she began to run with renewed determination, Bryan's words echoed in her head; "Dylan was deeply hurt when he realised that you liked Jason, he went abroad after that and he met Savannah and began to fall in love with her but she betrayed him with Jason. Imagine how furious he was after that, and then you showed up in his life again and Dylan didn't know what to do with his feelings because you had feelings for Jason." her lungs burned from exertion but Ella car
When he pulled away, Dylan searched her face like he was afraid she was only a figment of his imagination. "I can't believe you're really here."Ella continued to stare at him without a word, she didn't know where to start. "You bought my flowers and sent me a note five years ago." She started and Dylan’s hands fell to his side as he wondered how she knew about it. "You kissed me that night and I thought it was Jason.""Ella..." Dylan felt like he was backed to a corner, he didn't know how she'd react. Will she be mad at him for doing all that?"You named the yacht your father got for you before he died after me but you lied about it why?"Ella stared at him, waiting for his response."I didn't think it mattered." he said with uncertainty."We'll it does matter." Ella said. "It matters a lot." and then she crashed her lips against his catching him off guard. "I love you Dylan, always." She confessed as they came up for air."And I love you."
Dylan paced about his room nervously. He was having dinner with Ella tonight and he was feeling restless about it. It's not that he was worried she might change her mind on the contrary, he'd never been more sure of anything in his life and yet he couldn't shake off this feeling that something was wrong. His apprehension hightened when he couldn't get through to her.It was silly actually because he'd called her a few hours ago and confirmed that she was on her way to the coffee shop. Maybe if he saw her Dylan would be more calm. He'd dismissed Jonathan earlier today as he'd insisted on driving himself. Dylan drove to the café and he saw both Miranda and Lani but Ella was no where in sight. Apprehension slithered it's way up his guts but Dylan sqelched it. She must be in the store room."Lani is Ella here?""No I thought she was with you." Lani informed him."I called her this morning and she told me she was on her way here." Dylan insisted.
Ella cracked open her eyes and winced at the pounding in her head. She waited for the pain to subside then shook the grogginess she feels and looked around her. She was in a small room with nothing much in it except an old cushion and the rickety chair she was tied up in. Ella struggled to free herself but after a while realised it was futile, she needed her energy for when she would make an escape. She tried to remember what happened; she'd just gotten out of the house when someone jumped her suddenly and covered her nose with a white cloth a sickly sweet smell enveloped her and then black. How many times has she been kidnapped in less than a year? Ella thought miserably who could it be this time? Her question was answered when a tall man entered the room followed by a slender woman who looked vaguely familiar...of course! Ella thought as recognition slammed into her."Are you sure no one saw her up here?" she asked."I'm sure." the man replied."You may g
