Chapter 76: Trouble Them to Come Over Now

Suzy and Jeffrey walked together to the entrance of Ward V1. The two bodyguards on either side hesitated upon seeing them, seemingly debating whether to stop them.

After all, Jeffrey was someone they had never met before.

"This is my boyfriend," Suzy said reluctantly, knowing that her mother could hear her from inside.

Standing beside her, Jeffrey couldn't help but raise the corners of his lips and leaned in to whisper to her, "You don't sound like you're introducing a boyfriend, more like we're about to sit down and discuss a contract in the next second."

She thought back to her own words just now and suddenly realized how silly she had sounded. She even chuckled at herself.

So, when Melissa saw the two of them for the first time, it was the sight of them exchanging smiles.

"Mom!"

Seeing her mother with a stern expression in the hospital bed, Suzy quickly stopped laughing and walked over, standing by the bedside, trying to keep some distance between Jeffrey and her mother.

Because she
