Chapter 81: It’s Really Over

Wendy received a call from Suzy while she was at work, and she was genuinely shocked by her hoarse voice.

"What's going on with you? Didn't my cousin say your mom didn't find out?" Wendy asked.

"It has nothing to do with my mom," Suzy hesitated on the other end of the line before reluctantly saying, "Can I temporarily stay at your place for a few days? I'll find an apartment as soon as possible, at most in a week!"

Wendy was puzzled. "Are you not renting your place anymore?"

"Um, you can say that."

"Well, why don't you just move into my place? Why bother with temporary stays?" Wendy sounded exasperated.

"I suggested this before, but you refused outright! Like I said living together would be great. You could cook for me, help me tidy up, and keep me company! So, it's settled. You're moving in tonight!"

"Okay, we'll discuss it when you're off work."
