Chapter 45: He Wasn’t Jealous

Liam spotted Suzy just as she was about to hide herself.

"Suzy," he called her in a low and magnetic voice, his tone deliberate.

With her game of hide and seek foiled, Suzy reluctantly walked over. "Mr. Park, Miss Burns."

"We'll head off first." As soon as she approached, Liam opened the car door and got in.

Sophia waved, offering a smile to Suzy.

"Take care on the road, both of you. Liam, we'll discuss our matters when you return from your business trip."

"Alright."

Suzy patiently waited until Sophia had left before she joined Liam in the car. She discreetly glanced at him, her curiosity piqued by what Sophia had mentioned as "our matters."

What could it be?

"Feeling tired?" Liam used his slender fingers to adjust his tie and casually unbuttoned the top button of his shirt.

From Suzy's angle, she could vaguely make out a tattoo on his collarbone.

"I'm alright. Mr. Lincoln didn't burden me with too much work."

"If the workload becomes too much, let him know."
