Suzy narrowed her eyes and smiled. "I was just worried you might misinterpret my intentions. If I were to approach you as your former classmate, you might think I'm trying to exploit our past connections, and that's not what I intended."

"I won't let anyone take shortcuts through connections," he said in a calm yet resolute tone, exuding the authority of a leader.
