Their faces were filled with joy. Blessie felt as if she were witnessing a movie of her childhood recollections. Happiness that clearly demonstrates love and care, however, those beautiful, significant, and joyful pictures of her past began to collapse and shift away, where the young her was avoided and left all alone by other children.
“Don't leave me alone,” whimpered by little Blessie.
“We don't need you! You're crazy!”
“Why? I've done nothing wrong—"
"Stop! Having a freak as a friend is not something we enjoy! " yelled and screamed the little mean to Blessie as she yanked her friends away from Blessie.
"Please don't leave me," she begged.
Blessie experienced first-hand, with her own two eyes, how her classmates ignored and rejected her when she was a kid. Tears streamed down her cheeks one by one. Inside that classroom, none of her classmates tried to approach her. They leave her alone in the corner and treat her as if she were a shadow in the dark that no one would ever see. Blessie was experiencing a severe ache in her chest, making it difficult for her to breathe at the time. Those traumatic memories seemed to have occurred only yesterday. She witnessed how and what she endured as a child.
“How long has it been since it all began?” She began to wonder this.
Even she can't recall when all of her actions, words, and attitude began to change. She has no idea how she came to be the person she is.
Everything in her surroundings gradually changed until she saw herself as a child. She was on her way to her parents' room. When she was in the front of their room, she heard her mother and father yelling at each other as if they were fighting. She remembers that day because it was the day her mother and father talked about something she didn't know before and she only fully understood it as she grew older.
"Tristan, Blessie needs to see a doctor," her mother said.
"Stop right there, Stella. There's nothing wrong with our daughter," her father raised objections.
"Tristan, it's better for us to be as certain, especially given the fact what's going on right now. It would indeed be highly favorable for her if—"
"Enough already, Stella. I dea of bringing her to that place will not be good for Blessie. If we bring her there, she might end up suffering trauma."
"Come on, Tristan! Blessie is not just your child. I'm her mother, and I'm getting worried for her condition," her mother said, a worried expression on her face.
Blessie got to witness her mother's overprotection of her when she was a child.
"Mama," she called her mother silently in her mind, and tears welled up in the corner of her eyes.
She could see her mother hugging her depressed father.
"How come this had to happen to us? Why should Blessie be the chosen one? Why should be her?" " Her father, who was crying so hard, asked her mother.
When she was a kid, she had a lot of questions and confusions about what was going on, but now that she can understand everything, she understands why her parents used to be like that. When she saw that scene again, she felt a sharp pain in her chest and found it difficult to breathe, especially when she saw her younger self confused about what was going on. Have no idea. Completely helpless.
She felt even more pain when she saw her younger self enter her parents' room and hug her father in her tiny arms.
"Don't cry, Papa. I'll be sad," little Blessie said, simply trying to calm her father down.
Shock was written on their faces when they saw their innocent daughter as the reason for his father to wrap her in his arms with so much love despite the sadness her father is experiencing.
"Blessie, no matter what happens, your Mama and I will always love you. Others may personally dislike and reject you, but we will never abandon you. Your Mama and I will always be by your side, no matter what," her father, who is having a tough time to speak, said.
Even though little Blessie does not understand what her father is saying, she hugs him and kisses his cheek, as does to her mother who is crying in the corner.
“Blessie love loves Mama and Papa! Always and forever!” she exclaimed joyfully, giving her parents a sweet smile. “So, don’t cry anymore! Blessie love loves you both!” Little Blessie added with a beaming smile on her face.
Images in her surroundings began to change once more, and she saw her family and little Blessie inside the car. Blessie vividly remembers that day, the day her parents made the decision to take her to the psychiatrist for a psychological assessment. She had no idea what her illness was that considered necessary a doctor's attention at the time, and she only found out when her parents were involved in an accident.
She immediately noticed the doctor giving her that look before turning her attention to little Blessie's parents. She didn't quite understand what they were actually talking because she was still a child and fixated on the toy given to her by the doctor at the time. Her parents and the doctor continued to discuss her condition, but little Blessie had no idea what was going on. But when little Blessie noticed her mother crying, she rushed over to comfort her.
"Mama, what's the matter with you crying? Did she make you feel uncomfortable? " Little Blessie asked her mother, a worried expression on her face, pointing to the doctor.
Her mother wipes away her tears and put down little Blessie's finger. "Have I ever told you that pointing your finger at people is bad?"
"But, Mama, she's bullying you," little Blessie argued, her forehead wrinkled.
"No, sweetie. She isn't, and she doesn't think she is. Something went inside my eyes that caused Mama to cry," her mother explained, trying not to break its voice and in tears.
Little Blessie was deafeningly quiet as she stared at her mother.
Stella took a deep breath in order to calm down. "At this point, baby, you should apologize to her."
Little Blessie turned to face the doctor, then back to her mother. Stella nodded, indicating that she should apologize to the doctor for what she had done.
"I'm sorry," little Blessie said sincerely.
"That's my baby," her father said, smiling widely at her.
Just after that, her parents and the doctor continue to converse until it is her turn to respond to the doctor's questions.
"Our baby is pretty good! " Her father delighted in praising her. "Where would you like to go?" "Her father wondered out loud.
"Amusement Park! " Little Blessie answered back with a broad smile.
As per what little Blessie requested, both of her parents decided to take her to the amusement park as a reward and to entertain her in order to erase the events of that day from her mind.
When they got in the car, her mother let little Blessie sat on her laps and hugged her tightly.
"Everything will be fine, baby," her mother assured her, kissing her on the cheek.
Blessie immediately noticed the sadness in her mother's face, which she had been trying to suppress at the time.
"Everything will be fine, Stella," her father assured her as he kissed her mother's hand.
It was extremely difficult for her to breathe after hearing those words. Seeing those scenes in her life again broke her heart.
"Why should it have happened to us? Why?" she struggled to understand.
Regardless of the fact that she has grown up, she still does not understand why, of all people around the world, her family should have gone through all of this—to her?
A sudden and unexpected rushing truck hits the front of their car, causing a strong impact that causes the car to turn around and around and bump into another car on the side of the highway, catching her attention.
“Mama! Papa!" When she saw what had happened, Blessie yelled with all her might.
For the second time, she saw her mother and father covered in blood from the shattered window of the car, which had been buried into their bodies.
"Baby," her mother said delicately.
Why?
"Mama, blood," Blessie said, pointing to the blood dripping from her mother's side of the face.
"No matter what happened, we love you with all of our hearts," her mother said clearly and unequivocally, her heavy breathing.
Why should be them? Why can’t it be me? Why?
"Always keep that in mind, Blessie," her mother managed to say before completely collapsing.
“Mama! Papa! " Blessie yelled, her eyes welling up with tears.
"Mama, Papa, don't leave me! "She begged and pleaded. "You said you'd never abandon me! Ma! Pa!”
Kai woke up with a start as he heard Blessie's muffled sobs, immediately alerting him to her distress."Hey, what's wrong with you?" he asked, his voice filled with concern. But Blessie remained silent, her tears streaming down her face. Kai was taken aback by what he had witnessed, feeling a pang of pain in his chest. As a tear rolled down her cheek and landed on his own, she finally snapped out of her daze."Blessie, wake up!"He gently tapped her cheek a few times until she finally stirred. However, she continued to cry, and it only deepened his worry for her."Hey, what's wrong with you?" he asked, his face now etched with worry. But Blessie's tears showed no sign of stopping. Unsure of how to console her, he simply pulled her into a tight embrace."I'm not sure what happened, so don't burden yourself too much; I'm here to listen."Blessie's tears still flowed unabated. Kai tried his best to offer words of comfort, even though he wasn't sure if they made any sense anymore. He felt
"HOW IS SHE?" Kai asked the doctor hurriedly. The doctor hung his stethoscope around his neck before facing him."Don’t worry about your girlfriend, she just had a slight concussion due to what happened earlier, as you mentioned, so there's no need to worry," the doctor said with a smile.“If she's okay, then why is she in pain?” he questioned, not understanding why the girl was complaining about her head."I know you're worried, but it's natural. I already gave her a painkiller, and all she needs is to rest. I think she has a low tolerance for pain and she's quite tired, so take care of your girlfriend," the doctor explained before leaving."I'm not your girlfriend, that doctor keeps saying it over and over," Blessie said with a pout and narrowed eyes.“It’s okay, you'll get used to it,” Kai said with a grin.“Shut up! You’re saying all sorts of things!” she said, closing her eyes in embarrassment.Kai approached her and gently placed an ice pack on her forehead, which had a bump. Bl
AFTER a few hours, Blessie woke up feeling refreshed.“That felt great!” she said cheerfully, stretching her arms. She looked around for Kai but couldn’t find him. She didn’t know why, but she felt a bit disappointed.“Where could he be?”She got up and went to the mirror to check her appearance. Her forehead was still slightly swollen, but it was better than before. She noticed a sticky note on the mirror. How’s your sleep? I hope it recharged you well. Don’t go back on your word after I made my promise. See you there.-Kai(P.S. I really tried hard to restrain myself from touching you, so better not to chicken out)She crumpled the note in irritation and threw it in the trash.“Does he think I don’t keep my promises?” she said, annoyed. She looked out the window and saw that it was dark. She checked her watch and saw it was past seven in the evening.“Crap!”She quickly ran to her room, closing the windows and doors.“What should I do? What should I do?” she asked herself, panicking
As Blythe stepped into the reception hall, the air seemed to shift, all eyes turning towards her. Whispers of admiration followed in her wake, but she remained indifferent to the attention. With determination in her gaze, she began to search for Kai amidst the sea of people, but he seemed elusive in the bustling crowd."Damn it! Where is he?" she cursed under her breath.Feeling a surge of irritation, she approached the bar counter and began indulging in tequila sunrise. Shot after shot, she tried to drown out her frustration, yet Kai remained elusive amidst the throng. Determined, she resumed her search, weaving through the crowd in hopes of catching a glimpse of him. After what felt like an eternity, her gaze finally landed on the young man, but her relief was short-lived as she noticed a woman wrapped around his arm, prompting a quizzical raise of his eyebrow."How dare that bitch?" Blythe muttered angrily. "Nobody dares to threaten what is rightfully mine! Or even ours!"Blythe wa
As their conversation delved into more personal topics, Blythe found herself drawn closer to Kai, both physically and emotionally. The once distant space between them seemed to shrink with each shared story and exchanged glance. With every sip of alcohol, inhibitions dissolved, and a sense of intimacy grew between them.Blythe, feeling the effects of the alcohol, leaned into Kai's comforting presence, finding solace in his warmth. His arm around her felt like a protective shield against the world, and she found herself unconsciously seeking his closeness.Kai, noticing Blythe's vulnerability, gently guided her with his words, sharing anecdotes from his past to distract her from the swirling thoughts in her mind. Kai and Blythe continued walking, Kai's steps directionless as he lost himself in thought, while Blythe silently observed him, her focus solely on his face. Unbeknownst to them, they had wandered to the far end of the resort, surrounded by large rocks, with the moonlight shining brightly over the sea, seemingly engulfing everything in its path."Kai," Blythe called out, breaking the silence."Yes?" he responded, turning to face her."Do you still love her?" Blythe asked suddenly.Kai remained silent, his eyes fixed on the vast ocean. Blythe gently held his face in her hands, turning it towards her, locking gazes with him."Stop loving her and start loving me. I won't let you feel insignificant because of a girl who has been controlling you for years. She doesn't deserve that kind of power over you. Since then, she's only brought chaos into your life, so cut the ties. Sever them! Don't let your troubled past hold you captive, and I'll help you break free," Blythe said with a smile."Bu
The cold whispers of the sea and the chilly breeze went unnoticed by the two clasped in each other's arms. The only thing that mattered that night was the burning passion and fervor of their bodies, overpowering their senses. They were giving each other all the heat they desired, lost in a world where nothing else existed but their shared desire. The rhythmic crashing of the waves against the shore seemed to synchronize with the pounding of their hearts, creating a symphony of raw emotion and unbridled passion.
