Chapter 10

Kai woke up with a start as he heard Blessie's muffled sobs, immediately alerting him to her distress.

"Hey, what's wrong with you?" he asked, his voice filled with concern. But Blessie remained silent, her tears streaming down her face. Kai was taken aback by what he had witnessed, feeling a pang of pain in his chest. As a tear rolled down her cheek and landed on his own, she finally snapped out of her daze.

"Blessie, wake up!"

He gently tapped her cheek a few times until she finally stirred. However, she continued to cry, and it only deepened his worry for her.

"Hey, what's wrong with you?" he asked, his face now etched with worry. But Blessie's tears showed no sign of stopping. Unsure of how to console her, he simply pulled her into a tight embrace.

"I'm not sure what happened, so don't burden yourself too much; I'm here to listen."

Blessie's tears still flowed unabated. Kai tried his best to offer words of comfort, even though he wasn't sure if they made any sense anymore. He felt like giving up, but he couldn't bear to see Blessie in such pain.

"Please, stop crying; it hurts me every time I see you like this," he whispered, his words slipping out without much thought.

Those words struck a chord with Blessie, causing her to lift her head from Kai's chest. Startled, she suddenly regained her composure and saw Kai by her side. This startled her, causing her to jolt upright and almost fall off the bed. Luckily, Kai caught her arm and held onto her side for support.

"Shit! Will you be more careful in the future?" he exclaimed in frustration, his concern evident in his voice.

"Why are you even here?" Blessie asked, her irritation evident in her tone.

Kai turned his face away, realizing that Blessie had returned to her usual self.

"I believe you're okay now. Don't worry me like that again; it drives me insane," he said with a smile, causing Blessie's face to flush, widening her smile.

"You're so sweet," he complimented her, playfully flicking her forehead.

"Hey!" Blessie exclaimed, playfully swatting his hand away.

"That's pretty normal," Kai said with a smile, relieved to see Blessie's spirits lifted.

Blessie felt a sudden uneasiness, causing her to lose her balance and almost fall off the hammock. Kai quickly stepped on the sand to regain his balance and provide support for Blessie to prevent her from falling.

"Haven't I told you to be more careful?" Kai said sternly, with a mix of deep concern in his eyes.

The girl couldn't speak as Kai's eyes captured her attention. She couldn't understand, but she felt something different in that moment. Where had I seen those eyes before? It felt familiar, but she couldn't remember. A strange feeling surged through her entire being.

"Here's your punishment for making me worried." Kai quickly pressed his lips against the girl's, gradually deepening the kiss.

Blessie's body seemed paralyzed as she was taken aback by the sudden movement of the guy. As their kiss deepened, she didn't realize that she was gradually getting carried away, matching each movement of their lips. What started as a simple kiss soon turned into their tongues playing inside their mouths. The heat they felt gradually intensified, fueling their burning libido. Their kisses became more passionate, and even their hands began to explore. Kai pulled Blessie's body closer to him, intensifying their kissing. The girl couldn't help but let out soft moans, overwhelmed by the intense sensations. It brought a surge of heat to Kai when he heard it, so he gave in and let his kisses trail down from her ear to her neck, deepening her moans and breaths. It was like music to Kai's ears, but everything came to an end when he left a love bite on the girl's neck.

"That's it for now, we can't go too far, maybe next time," Kai said with a mischievous smile. "We can do more." He winked at Blessie.

It was only then that Blessie snapped back to reality after everything that had happened. Her face turned red, and she instinctively touched her neck.

"Shit! Don't blush, you're making it hard for me not to own you," Kai cursed.

Blessie widened her eyes and pushed him away, furrowing her brows. Despite the pain in her forehead, Blessie quickly got off the hammock and distanced herself from the guy.

"Are you going crazy? What nonsense are you spouting?" Blessie said, holding her forehead in pain.

"Do you think I already lost my sanity?" Kai asked.

"With the way you're acting, don't you think so?" Blessie asked in frustration, rubbing her forehead to alleviate the pain she was feeling.

"I'm not flirting though," Kai said.

"Stop it!" Blessie exclaimed in frustration, her face turning even redder from embarrassment and the turmoil in her heart.

"I'm not flirting though," Kai said.

"Stop it!" Blessie groaned in frustration at what Kai was saying, causing her to suddenly feel a headache. "Ouch!" she moaned softly but angrily.

"Don't act all high and mighty! You're a big catch, and yet you're still avoiding me!"

Blythe’s voice rang out amidst the throbbing pain in Blessie's head. She was taken aback when she heard Blythe's voice in the midst of her headache. Kai noticed this and quickly approached her.

"Blessie, are you okay?" Kai asked, studying Blessie's reaction.

"Blythe?"

Blessie was confused for a moment. She could hear Kai's voice and even Blythe's voice in her mind. How could I hear her voice? Am I really hearing her or is it just my imagination? Blessie was confused by what was happening. It was the first time she heard Blythe's voice while in her right mind.

"Blessie?"

"If you won't take him, then I will," Blythe's threatening words echoed in Blessie's mind.

"Blessie! Hey, go back to yourself!" Kai shouted.

Blessie looked up and looked at Kai, feeling weak.

"Are you okay?" he asked, concerned.

Her eyes were weak when her gaze met Kai's; it was the first time she had experienced a proc (programmed random occurrence). Blessie was confused and couldn’t understand what was happening at that moment. She held her head again as it suddenly ached, causing her to groan in pain.

"Why do you keep making me worried?" he asked, lifting Blessie up.

She was about to complain, but Kai stopped her immediately.

"Don't even try to stop me. You're not okay, you should be checked," he said firmly.

Blessie couldn’t protest anymore as her headache persisted. She leaned into the Kai's chest, holding her head with both hands. Kai quickly took her to the resort clinic and had her examined by the doctor there.
