BASH

I looked at the elevator door again. It's been twenty minutes since Hana reached the tower and Celia went to her suite. My Bee hasn't come yet. I didn't get a chance to kiss her properly because Celia was craving stupid chips at 9 a.m. And Hana had to wear that sweater that hugged her body perfectly in all the right places. She looked so beautiful that I had a hard time looking away. I have to see her now, show her the picture of us, THE MONDAY BUZZ newspaper captured.

I hated them capturing something so private. But the picture is so beautiful that I almost forgave them, almost. I have to see her reaction to this. We're getting a lot of exposure. It's not a good thing. But it happened in NEW YORK. It won't reach here in Italy soon unless Elio searches about me on Google which he never does. I still have time to deal with Elio.

My phone buzzed with a text from her. She wrote that she was going home. I read the message again to understand it. What does she mean by goi

HANA I was hesitant to unbutton his shirt, bracing myself for him to stop me. Surprisingly, he didn't this time. He bent down to kiss me while I sat on the edge of the bed, working on his buttons. I moved my hands down, tracing the taut skin until I reached his pants. He instantly gets hard when I touch him and the way he looks at me with the equal measure of lust and love always puts me at ease. This is Bash, my Bash. There is nothing to fear before him. "Aren't you gonna say that I am still hurt to do this?" I teased, my hand cupping him through his pants. Bash groaned, pulling himself away from my mouth. The next second, he shoved me onto the bed and took off his shirt so gracefully, flaunting all his abs. "Like what you see?" He smirked and I eagerly nodded my head. His knuckles traced my knees, his touch lingering on the hem of my dress and his eyes held mine, seeking permission. It's wondrous how we are able to understand each other even when we don't say a word. I gave him a

HANA We fell into a blissful coma. He softened inside and still inside me. One of my legs was over his hip as we lay facing each other. He wants me close, so close that he had to be inside and pull me to his even in his sleep. I smiled, feeling something that no one made me think of before; precious. I felt precious. He made me feel treasured. After everything that happened in the last week and his resistance to having sex, I think that he will be more gentle than necessary. To my surprise, he had been himself. He gave me time to adjust and prepare, and once he got me how he wanted, he gave us what we needed. It didn't feel like we hadn't had this intimate for almost two years. It felt like we did this daily. Our bodies remember us well. Nothing seemed odd or out of place. We are perfect together. But for how long? I felt a lump in my throat. I will tell him today. I will hold no secret and let him choose if he still wants me or not. If I sleep with him one more time, I

HANA I remember that day clearly. We made love on our very first date, played chase on the road, and kissed in the rain while Ahmet looked at us like we were some stupid teenagers. I saw a colleague that day at the wedding and glared at him for leaving his wife and daughter in the car. Something Ahmet said to me struck my mind. "Please don't glare at him. I am taking a leave tomorrow. I don't wanna cancel my plans and kidnap him." I didn't understand the hidden meaning then. I didn't even give it a thought because I was so mesmerised with everything Bash did that day. How the hell did I miss that? Leo went missing the very next day he met me. "You kidnapped him because I glared at him?" I asked him, still in shock. "You weren't even there at the office that day." Bash switched off the stove and started searching for something in the cupboards. "Bash." I yelled to get his attention back. He sighed, looking fucking exhausted while I was fuming here. "Yasmine saw you spea

BASH I woke up to find Hana staring at me with a small smile. This is one of the things I like about her the most. She doesn't hide her feelings about me. She loves unconditionally without a mask. My eyes dropped to the marks on her neck. Mine. "Good morning," I murmured against her lips. "Good morning, handsome." I chuckled at her words, bringing her close to me. She is naked under the covers and the only thing she wears is the silver chain. She looked exquisite and so perfect. And she shared with me about her past. There's no going back now. She trusts me. I wrapped my hand around her waist, pulling her close. "What am I gonna do with you?" She smiled, flashing her tiny dimple which doesn't appear often unless smiled broadly. "I have a few things in mind which you can do with me." She giggled when I traced the soft skin of her thighs. "Do those things involve my mouth?" "Yes," She moaned as I kneaded her breasts. "And what else?" I qu

  • A TWENTY SOMETHING    96. I'LL GO BACK TO YOU

HANA I sat beside Bash, staring at an old photo Ahmet sent to my phone. It was taken at someone's wedding. His mother was so young, hardly eighteen or seventeen and she had him in her arms. Elio was behind her, laughing with a whiskey in his hand. Behind him was Bash's father. The photo was not clear. So there's no chance he is his father. But Ahmet sent the details of the flight tickets Mr. Merrick purchased that day. "This can be a coincidence," I murmured, pressing a kiss on his shoulder. "Why are you even trying to look into your mother's past?" "I need to know what happened to her before Xavier." I stilled beside me, suddenly looking at everything from his point of view. He was the boy who watched his mother kill herself. It's so easy to forget that Bash has a traumatic past in which he had found his mother after she killed herself and soon after a year, he lost his father too. He never let that get to him. Still, it was there, inside him and he lived in

HANA "You look happy," Shalini commented, sprawling across the huge couch. "You are marrying him, right?" Mateo asked me for the tenth time. We put Seb to sleep and then started drinking. Mateo still couldn't get over the known fact that Bash was a billionaire. "I precisely remember you calling our story a crime thriller and not a rom-com and that I am stupid to pursue him." I reminded him. "He lives like this. He lives here." He pointed to the vast pool on the balcony of our bedroom. "Everything is a romance. This is awesome." Shalini shook her head, laughing. "He used to own the company we work for, Mateo. What did you expect?" "Reality is different than expectations. Is there any way he might be interested in cute curly-haired guys?" He asked me with puppy eyes. "No," Shalini and I both snapped at once. "He is mine and mine alone." He threw his hands up. "Easy peasy. I'm not interested in him either. But it's high time you lend me money, bestie

Bash "He killed Stone." Sandro hissed blowing puffs into the air. "Stone? Is that a name? Is he like a guy? Hana will kill me if I named our son after things." I said absent mindedly swirling the drink in my hand. "You guys have to get married first and it's not gonna happen anytime soon because Elio has a mafia princess in his mind for you." Romero stated the obvious. "It's THE MATRIX Princess." Vincenzo corrected him. "After the fiasco yesterday, Elio was so pissed that he killed a guy. He killed Stone." "Did he kill a guy or did he kill a stone?" I asked them again, confused. "Stone is the guy." Sandro confirmed. "Oh. Sorry about that. Are we attending any funeral?" I asked them with genuine curiosity. I have to check my calendar. "He is not even an underboss. We don't have to." Romero replied. "Good. Because I am busy." "He'll figure it out. He'll find Hana. You gotta be more careful." Vincenzo warned with a stoic face. He would be a

Hana Bash was sound asleep beside me and I was scrolling my phone, checking my online notepad. One line caught my attention. "I don't want to be tough. I don't want to be strong. I want to be soft and taken care of."Twenty-three-year-old me wrote this on an exhausted evening, with an empty bank balance, struggling with her nightmares alone. Only I knew how I wished for a miracle to happen in my life while denying the existence of it at the same time! Then, Bash happened. Nothing about me changed. But being strong and tough is not a necessity anymore. I don't have to fight anything alone, not even myself. I tossed my phone away and kissed Bash on his forehead. He stirred a little. And I continued placing wet kisses all over his face. He slowly opened his eyes right when I was about to touch his lips, and kissed me back the intensity that left me breathless. "What's that for?" He asked me with dreamy eyes. My baby is still sleepy. I shrugged, wrapping my hands around

BASH Celia is not due until next month. But that little shit can't wait for any longer. He came out earlier than expected, and if you are asking me why I am calling a one-hour-old baby, little shit, wait until I finish the full story. I didn't let Hana step out of our room for another five days. She has stitches, and what was she thinking, trying to sit in a wheelchair? Not under my watch. My Rose yawned in my arms and went back to sleep, her tiny hand wrapped around my finger. A few days back, if someone had told me that I would call another human being cute other than my wife, I would have laughed at them. Now, looking at Rose's sleeping form, that's all I can think - cute, delicate. She needs to be protected from all the ugliness of the world. I will make sure she is untouched. When my wife and daughter were being discharged, we visited Celia and Alex. Three-year-old Willow ran to me, hugging my leg. "Hey, sweetheart." I smile at her. "Mommy birth me a brother."

HANA"What are we doing in Japan?" I asked, glancing around at the sea of cherry blossoms, their delicate petals drifting through the air like whispered dreams.Bash smirked. "I told you that's exactly what you would ask."It took me a moment to understand. Then, I remembered—the night we spoke of impossible dreams in Istanbul, the ones we knew would never come true. Anniversaries we’d never celebrate, trips we’d never take, a life we’d never have.Yet, here we were."It happened," I whispered, as a pink petal landed softly on my cheek.Bash's eyes held mine, warm and unwavering. "We made it, Mrs. Merrick."And then he kissed me beneath the cherry blossom trees.Ahmet always said we were just two lovesick fools wandering the world, celebrating life. He wasn’t wrong. For three months, that’s exactly what we did—travelling with no destination, doing nothing but making love, laughing, and getting lost in each other. Then, we returned to Istanbul.Bash wanted to rewrite the memories. HANA"Can I disown him?" Sandro muttered behind me. I followed his gaze to Matias sitting in the front row and wiping his tears with a tissue. "Fuck." Another hiss from Sandro. Matias is sniffling-- hard.Bash is scowling at the kid. I nudged him gently so that he would change his expression. My attempt is futile."I will disown him." "No," It's Vin this time.I like how the guys tried to blend in. But they failed miserably. With their tattooed body, hidden arms, and bulky personality, there's no way Sandro and his crew can blend in. But I can give ten out of ten for the attempt. Though Bash and Sandro still joke about killing each other (sometimes it doesn't sound like a joke at all), they are there for each other. They formed a bond. Bash is not part of the outfit anymore, but they have each other back in their own way."Where is Luna?" I questioned Bash while posing for the photo."Avoiding me," Sandro answered. As the night came alive, we danced. Bash glared at everyone who dan

HANA || THREE MONTHS LATER "Are you fucking someone else?" Bash gasped, turning around. "Jeez, babe. What are you doing up so late?" It is almost one o clock in the night. According to my fiance, it is the ideal time to come home. At first, I didn't give it much thought. There are a lot of things to take care of with Sandro taking over and Bash cleaning the mess Elio left in his export and import businesses. It has been three months since I almost lost my life. For the first few weeks, Bash didn't leave my side. He nursed me back to health, accompanied me to the hospitals, and made sure I had a perfect diet and sleep. Once he started going to work, he seemed distant. I thought he was busy. I thought he was feeling guilty for what happened. I can understand how his mind works. He is fiercely protective of me. He thinks he failed me. Still, that doesn't explain the growing distance between us. I took a threatening step forward. "Are you fucking someone else? Are you

BASHThe world narrows to the rhythmic sound of Hana's laboured breathing. Her blood stains my hands, her pulse weak beneath my fingertips. "Sandro," I command, my voice steady despite the storm inside me. "Take care of Colton and his men. I'll take Hana to the hospital."He came to my side, and for the first time, his eyes softened at Hana in my arms. "Take care of her. Luna won't like it if something happens to her sister."At this moment, I don't even care why Luna's likes matter to him anymore."Do you want Colton alive?" He asked me.A gun fired in the distance, and someone screamed.I gently lift Hana, cradling her against me. Her eyes flutter open, and she offers a faint, reassuring smile."I'm here," I whisper, brushing a strand of hair from her face."I don't care what you do with him. It doesn't matter anymore."Sandro nods, understanding the gravity of my decision. With urgency, I carry her to the car, my mind racing. The nearest hospital is miles away, and every second co

BASH The tension in the room was palpable. Colton stood across from me, a smug grin playing on his lips as he held Hana captive. Her eyes met mine, filled with a mix of fear and determination. I looked for any visible wounds on her body. I swear if he touched her, I'd make Colton's death ten times more painful. I'll do the same even if he doesn't touch her. Hana looked terrified. Her eyes filled with unshed tears find mine. She would have pressed her knuckles to her eyes if her hands weren't tied. That must have hurt. She has no pain threshold when it comes to physical wounds. Emotionally, she fought many battles. Her wrists will have marks from that rope and I imagined choking Colton's neck with the same. Her eyes zeroed on my clenched fists and she shook her head. She is trying to be brave —For me. She is asking me not to lose my patience. "Finally." Colton opened his filthy mouth, "The son of Xavier and Rose. We had a history we need to settle." I unclenched my

BASHThe snipers might have reached my house by now. Hana is safe. For now.“Elio knows what we’re doing,” Sandro said. “Vin and his team will take care of him. We need to get to Colton’s house. Now.”“Why now?” I asked, brow furrowing. “And I thought Elio knew about this long ago.”“Colton is seeking Drago’s help. If Drago steps in, we’re outnumbered.”“And this Drago is—”“Someone powerful,” Sandro cut in. “That’s all you need to know.”I nodded, pulling out my phone to send a quick text to my Bee—Thud.Someone crashed into me, knocking the phone from my grip. It hit the floor with a crack, the screen shattering into a useless mess.A string of Italian curses spilled from the idiot who ran into me.Sandro didn’t even glance his way. He was already focused on the guy’s message.“The fuckard broke my phone,” I muttered.“We need to hurry,” the guy panted. “Colton is unguarded.”I scoffed. “Colton? Unguarded? HANA It has been two months since we sent Mateo and Luna away. Even I have no idea where Alexander hid them. No one knows. He says it is for their own safety. Sandro has started to lose his mind. There were tensions in the outfit. The supplies to Elio's territories have stopped coming. Distributors are worried because Elio is losing power. Bash started avoiding his calls. Elio almost came home last week. Sandro interfered, and they met at his house instead. I rarely stepped out of our home these two months. Even if I did, Dion and his team would follow me everywhere. I don't what information Luna has given about her father. Sandro started to attack his clubs, his brothels, and the restaurants he owned. BASH I covered my face with my palm as she clicked another photo of me, lying on the bed, naked and satiated. Since yesterday night, Hana has captured hundreds of pictures, of our rings, our hands, of me and us. "It's enough baby. Come to bed now." She shook her head, looking for a different angle. I wrapped my fingers around her neck and pulled her to me, capturing her lips into a fierce kiss. "Are you going to take a rest or not?" I demanded. She shook her head again like a kid. "I am too excited and happy to take a rest." She jumped on the bed, "I have to show the ring to Shalini and Mateo." I groaned, pulled her again and wrapped her in my arms, "Stay here." I whispered. Half an hour later, the three friends are still talking about the rings. "Yaaaaaarrrrrrrrr... Congratulations!" Shalini screamed in the video call.
