Danielle's POV

"Woah! This is where she stays?" I asked Brandon, looking around the neighborhood.

We were currently seated at the back seat of his car, as Carlos drove us towards our destination. Brandon would occasionally point out directions to him.

"You seem surprised." Brandon smiled at the expression on my face.

For someone who usually collected ridiculously huge amount of money from Brandon, you'd expect her to be living in some luxury estate, and not the freaking suburbs. So yeah! I was a little surprised.

"You know, where I grew up wasn't any different from this." Brandon said to me, peering through his side of the window.

"What was it like?" I asked, making him smile.

"It was...tough."

"But there were also perks." He said, relaxing back on his seat.

"Really? Like what?" I asked, way too eagerly.

"Well, we were like a city of our own, always looking out for each other." He explained.

"There was also a very low crime rate in our neighborhood, because we somehow saw each other l

I found it difficult to focus on anything."He did?" I asked him absentmindedly, as the pen I'd been writing with, suddenly fell off my hand."I was told you scold

Danielle's POV"Sam?!" I called out to my best friend, as I encountered a really difficult problem in my work. He'd been teaching me all day, but I just totally suck at math."What?" He called out from his kitchen, where he'd been cooking up a storm."I've got a problem!" I complained, frowning down at the equations in my book."Well, fix it!" He yelled back at me, making groan out in frustration, slamming my head on the table before me.Our exams were just a week away, and I was really nervous. These exams would determine if I remain in college, or graduate from it. It was a big deal, and I was freaking out.I decided to stand up and go check on Sam's cooking in the kitchen. He had been bragging all day, about being quite the chef. He didn't seem to be having fun with the cooking, though."Are you here to help or what?" He asked, turning his head to look at me, and adjusting his glasses on the bridge of his nose."Nah! It's more fun watching you suffer." I retorted with a smirk, ear

Brandon's POV"Yeah...run away, asshole!" The girl shouted at me, as I bolted.I was disoriented, couldn't think straight. It must be the substance they injected me with. I needed to get away from this park, as soon as possible. I needed to get away, before I kill someone else. That poor, defenseless woman was just trying to help me, before I suddenly stabbed her with a knife. Judging by the ring on her finger, she was married, and probably has children depending on her.Her husband saw my face, he saw me, before I put my hoodie back on. I saw the rage in his eyes, as he caught me towering over his wife's body. A part of me was hoping that he had a gun, that he'd just kill me and stop me from murdering someone else. I had so much blood on my hands, and I didn't know how to stop.I looked down at the woman I had just stabbed. She was holding onto my leg, whispering something to me. She was already loosing too much blood."Run!" She whispered, taking me aback. I just stabbed her, and s

Danielle's POVThe day of my exams was finally here, and I was beyond nervous. I had rushed out of the shower, throwing on a hoodie and tying my hair in a messy bun. My mind was a jumbled mess, as I tried to arrange a few books and writing materials into my bag. I just wanted to scream out in frustration."Not now, Anissa!" I yelled at the incessant knocking on my bedroom door. I didn't really think I could be around anyone right now."Breakfast will be served in the dining, then!" She said, before I heard her retreating footsteps. After a few more minutes of turning my whole room upside down, I let out a sigh. I now believed I was ready to step out, and I went over to the mirror, to give myself a once-over.Winter was fast approaching and although it wasn't snowing yet, the wind was quite chilly. Putting on nice, warm clothing, was definitely a must. Satisfied with my how I looked, I spun around, grabbing my bag and heading out of my room. I approached the dining area, where Carlos

I rolled my eyes at him, falling back on the sofa."Your father is back, and has apparently been stalking you for a while now." He said."Seriously, you still don't think Mr. Brandon should know?""Well, we don't know anything for sure. For all I know, I might have just been seeing things." I shrugged at him."Stop looking at me like that!" I snapped."What? You're getting me all worried." He protested, and I let out a sigh. Our exams were pretty much over, with only a few more projects to be done and submitted. I was currently at Sam's, as his house was nearer to the school. Brandon's driver didn't show up, and after my many attempts to reach him through phone calls, I simply gave up. He wasn't picking any of my calls, so I assumed that he must be really occupied at the moment."Shit!" Sam

  • A Stripper's Nightmare   Numb

Danielle's POVI wasn't exactly experienced, when it came to treating and stitching up wounds, but here I was, taking care of literal bullet wounds on Brandon.I had been at it for over an hour now, and he hasn't so much as made a sound. It was like he wasn't feeling any pain at all, or he was already too used to it.When I came to think of it, his whole body is literally littered with scars, which was an indication that wounds like these, aren't a rare occurrence."I'm going to apply some disinfectants now." I said to him, holding a soaked up wool, over his wound. He just grunted out in agreement, not even opening his eyes to look.I pressed the cotton wool against his wounds, cleaning it from any possible infection. For a normal person, it should have hurt, but was there really anything normal about Brandon. He remained still, until I was done with the process. He then proceeded to lay down on his bed, gulping down some whiskey from a bottle.I looked at him in concern and worry. Hi

I was already starting to loose count, already starting to loose hope of ever being out of here."Seriously...torture me all you want." I spat through clenched teeth."I'm never going to sell them out." The man who had been torturing me, finally came to stand in front of me, taking off his mask. He had a wrinkled, wry smile on his face, and a broad build that was similar to that of my dad. I wanted so badly to make sure he suffers the same fate."You know, I could continue like this till you finally die." He grinned wickedly, shoving the metal deeper into the flame."Then I die!" "Ah! The tenacity...I really admire you assassins." He chuckled."This isn't really your first attempt on my life, but it has gotten quite annoying, I must admit."The man before me was some kind of pharmacist, who spec

I was finally going to be graduating from college, after four, long years!I read the note that Brandon left by my bedside, and although I was a little hurt that he wouldn't be able to make it, I consoled myself with the new, beautiful dress he got me. Right next to it was the most beautiful, stunning necklace I had ever seen. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.I jumped out of bed, startling Anissa, who was just walking into the room."Oh! thank God, Anissa...I need you!" I sighed, running towards her and grabbing her by her arm, while she looked at me like I was nuts.I dragged her with me to the bathroom, and she helped to give my hair a special washing. After I had my bath, I was out of the bathroom in one of Brandon's robes, and ready to be dolled up."So...you want me to help with the make up?" Anissa asked, her eyebrows raised at me. She knew how much I loathed cosmetics on my face."Yes, please! I'll make a

He made my nightmares disappear with just his presence."Momma!" My four years old son exclaimed, right before hugging my legs. From the looks of it, he went fishing again with his father. He looked up at me with his big, hazel eyes, and that was all I needed to confirm my suspicion. "Did you go fishing with your father again?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him."Um...Aurora also came with us?" He confessed, making me roll my eyes, before bending down to meet his height."I wasn't going to punish you, Austin!" I said, making him sigh visibly in relief."Come on! Go ahead and call your sister. It was like he suddenly remembered something that scared the hell out of him."What is it, Austin?" I asked, as he suddenly held o

He grinned sinisterly at me, before attempting to drag me off to the direction of their minivan.I started yelling, punching, kicking and scratching as much as I could, but it only seemed to anger him, as he kept tugging at my wrist. I let out a gasp, as a bullet suddenly went through his head, splattering blood all over my face. I watched him fall to the ground with a thud, and I turned around to look for who fired the shot. It was Micheal, and he kept gesturing for me to keep running towards the car.Looking down at the corpse before me again, I suppressed the urge to gag. He had a gun on him, and I bent down to take it from his lifeless hand.
