Lucien Hayes stared at his reflection in the full-length mirror on the side of the room. He saw a man who was sad and utterly terrified of losing his marriage.
Even though today was his first day as an employee at Gilmore Enterprises, one of the best companies in town, he still didn't feel quite happy. Rather he felt… hollow. He sighed for the one-thousandth time and adjusted his tie once more before grabbing his suitcase from the desk. He headed downstairs and found his wife, Allison, feeding their five-year-old daughter, Grace. “I'll be heading out now.” He announced. “Bye.” Allison retorted, without so much as a glance. Her gaze up focused on Grace, “Eat up darling.” She cooed. Lucien sighed, “Allison… can we please talk?” “There's nothing to talk about,” Allison replied, without sparing him a single glance. “Allison please…” He pleaded, “Are we done? You want us to continue like this? Is this marriage over?” “It was already over when you forebode me from moving to LA.” She snapped. “Come on, Allison,” He begged, taking slow steps forward. “We have a life here. Be reasonable, you want us to leave everything we have here and move to LA simply because you got a job offer?” She quickly snapped her head towards him, “‘Simply because I got a job offer’ you say?” She hissed, “You're unbelievable! I've done literally everything for you and I left my life, my dream and everything just to be with you because I loved you, but now you can't do the same for me? Come on, I endured this marriage even when your mom was horrible to me all through these years and you did absolutely nothing about your mom, but still, I stayed, why? Because I loved you Lucien and I thought you did the same but I was clearly mistaken.” “Come on, Allison you're being too dramatic, just because I refused to move to LA, that means I never loved you?” He asked exasperatedly, “There are thousands of job offers you can get here, it doesn't have to be in LA!” “Mom, Dad,” Grace called staring from her mom to her dad, “Are you both fighting again?” Lucien sighed, pinching his nose as he shut his eyes. “No sweetie, we're not fighting.” He replied, smiling at the cute little ginger-haired girl. “Mom and I are just having a talk.” “Finish up your meal by the time I'm back, okay?” “Yes, Mommy.” Grace nodded. Allison walked upstairs while Lucien stared behind her. He shook his head sadly, sighing again before kissing Grace goodbye. If this continues, it'll only be a matter of time before Allison asks for a divorce. He couldn't quite place what was wrong with Allison, she wasn't the woman he fell in love with and married. The Allison she fell in love with wouldn't even think of applying for a job over in LA. She's being incredibly inconsiderate and selfish, she expects him to abandon everything he's worked hard for and move to LA with her just to make her happy! She's been married to Allison for five years now, and even though it wasn't easy, those five years were the best years of his life. But recently Allison has been acting like someone else for the past month. Was she tired now tired of their union and wanted out? Is that why she doing this? As a perfect excuse! No, it can't be, Lucien told himself. That's ridiculous! As he boarded and took his seat on the bus, he shook his mind off Allison and her problems. This was his first day at Gilmore Enterprises and he wouldn't let any bad energy ruin his beautiful day. A few minutes later, the bus had already dropped him off at the bus stop. He had to walk the rest of the way towards Gilmore Enterprises. After a five-minute walk, he halted just in front of the gigantic building and stared at it, still not believing how he managed to get employed to work in this paradise. He walked through the revolving door and entered the lobby. The smell of fresh coffee instantly hit his nostrils and he couldn't help but drift it down his lungs. It's been so long since he missed this feeling. But a sight caught his eye. On the corner of the lobby, a man dressed in a dark suit was throwing incessant punches at a fellow man whose knees were dropped helplessly on the floor. “You…” The man punched, “... imbecile,” He punched again, “... how…” Another punch, “... dare…” Another one, “... you…” Lucien was astonished that none of the people in the lobby were sparing this scene a glance, as though it wasn't even happening. Not even the guards! Lucien had to step in, this man might die if he didn't. He threw his bag on the floor and ran towards the man. He flung his fist and it landed on the evil man's cheek. The man lost his balance and staggered backward. The hall reeled with scared gasps… oh they were now watching?! What the hell? “You didn't just do that!” The evil man hissed through gritted teeth, tightening his fists. “Are you out of your damned mind?” Lucien yelled angrily, ready for a fight if this man made a move. “You want to fucking kill him?” The man was more muscular and a little bigger than he was, but he felt he could take him, he's always believed that size didn't matter a dime when it came to fighting. Tactics and strength did. Then out of the corner of his eyes, he saw men marching towards him but they suddenly stopped as though they were commanded to do so. The fuck… “Do you know who I am?” The evil man asked, adjusting his suit as he stepped closer to Lucien, he glanced at him over, his eyes glinting not with venom nor anger, but with something Lucien couldn't quite name. “You think I give a flying fuck?” Lucien shot at the man, “You want to kill him?” “No one in this lobby had a problem with that.” The man said gesturing around the lobby, “Why is it only you?” “You and them are sick!” Lucien still wondered why out of over hundreds of people here, not a single being had the heart to step in. He extended his arm and helped the man who was just beaten up to his feet. The man's face was an utter mess, filled with blood and swells. “Are you okay?” Lucien asked the man worriedly, “You need to go to the hospital…” “Leave me the fuck alone!” The man yelled, shoving Lucien into the arms of the evil man and taking to his heels. As the man ran out of the building, Lucien saw men stepping out of the shadows and chasing after him. What the hell is going on? Lucien wondered. “That's why people shouldn't be helped.” The evil man whispered to Lucien's ear and he jolted as the man's breath fanned his neck. Right! The man was the one who broke his fall… but why would he? Lucien wondered, and why on earth was he holding his waist like that. He quickly shrugged the man off him and glared at him. The man wasn't looking as menacing as earlier, he had a smirk on the side of his lips. “Look man, I don't know what that man did to you but you shouldn't have beaten him up like that.” Lucien said, trying to reconcile, “And I'm sorry for punching you.” The man didn't reply, he kept staring at Lucien with a sparkle twinkling in his eyes. “I gotta go,” Lucien announced awkwardly before hurriedly walking towards the elevator. He met up with the HR department and was oriented on his work as a sales representative. After orientation, he was shown to his cubicle. Lucien was glad when he sat down at his desk, feeling fulfilled. “Hi,” His neighbor called out and Lucien turned his gaze to him, “I'm Brody.” “Hi,” Lucien beamed politely, taking the man's hand in his. “I'm Lucien.” He and the man got talking and Lucien was already glad he had already made a friend. “Mr Hayes?” The lady from the HR department called out to Lucien. “Yes?” He answered. “Mr Gilmore wants to see the recruits.” She let him know. Together with the other recruits, Lucien stepped into the office of the so-called legend, Mr Gilmore, the man who built Gilmore Enterprises from nothing at just a young age, Lucien's inspiration. The man was facing the city's overview through the glass wall, the swivel chair turned to them and from the looks of it, he was smoking. “Introduce yourselves.” He commanded, his voice authoritative, still not turning. “And your vision for joining my company.” Lucien and his fellow recruits began to introduce themselves one by one. After a long while of introduction, it finally reached Lucien's turn. “I'm Lucien Hayes,” He chirped earnestly, “I joined this company because of you, sir. I heard you built it from nothing and I want to be like you. You're an inspiration to me.” The other recruits swiftly snapped their heads towards him. Buttlicker much? “Really?” The man seemed amused. “Yes sir.” He replied, silently praying for the man to turn. He has been hearing all about James Gilmore and his inspiring interviews but no one had ever seen what he looked like. Then the man spun in his swivel chair and faced them. Lucien's face instantly dropped as he froze in utter shock the moment he recognized the man. This was that same man I nearly fought just a few minutes ago, he thought miserably, swallowing the lump in his throat… he's… James Gilmore? You've gotta be kidding me!Lucien wasn't the only one who was shocked, James Gilmore was also shocked to see that the person he was inspiring was the same man that he had just nearly fought.Ha! How ironic! It wasn't long before James' shock turned into a gleam of amusement.Well, well…Lucien didn't know whether to just walk out of this office and kiss his new job goodbye or stay. He wanted to choose the first one but what the hell will Allison think? She'll use this opportunity to travel to LA.But how can this evil man be James Gilmore?! He wondered. The James Gilmore he's read about in the papers was inspiring and modest, not this evil vile of a human!James linked his fingers together and placed his elbows on his desk, resting his chin on his laced fingers, and directing his piercing gaze to Lucien's shocked eyes.Lucien averted his eyes, unable to maintain eye contact. It's better to kiss this job goodbye, he thought.“Welcome to Gilmore Enterprises, people,” James said aloud, his gaze still on Lucien, “Y
The wristwatch on Lucien's wrist struck 4:30 PM and began to beep.Lucien stared at his watch and then fixated his gaze on the door that led to James's office.“Three,” He muttered under his breath, “... two, one!”Then the door immediately opened and James came out from his office. Lucien smiled.“I'll see you tomorrow,” James announced, without so much as a glance. “Bye.”Then he was off.Lucien sighed. It has been over two weeks that he's been working as James's secretary and he's noticed strange things about him.Every day, from Monday to Friday, as soon as the clock 4:30 PM, James calls it a day. He usually left work before anyone else. It was weird as fuck! But what was more weird was that no one cared to talk about him, as if they were scared of him or something. Even when he initiates a topic about him to his coworkers, they usually tell him dismissively. “We don't talk about that Mr Hayes.”As if there was something they knew that he didn't. He was dying of curiosity. Why was
Lucien was still paralyzed with shock. His boss is from a Mafia family? And his name isn't James Gilmore but rather Mateo Diaz?Is this a fucking joke?Is that why everyone at the company was terrified shitless of him? They all knew? All of them? That's the reason why no one dared step in when he was brutalizing that man in the lobby that day… they all knew!He felt sick! All he wanted now was to get the hell outta here, accept Allison's proposal of moving to Los Angeles and forget all about this shit! This is all fucked up!“I know it's a shock for you dear, but that's the way it is.” Lucille voiced, her voice filled with nothing but void. “James Gilmore is not who he claims he is.”“But why are you telling me this?” He queried, his voice hoarse and shaking, he didn't even recognize it as his.“Because we need your help.” The man added.“Why the hell would you need my help? I want utterly nothing to do with the likes of you.” He retorted, “I want to go home. Send me back to my home n
Santiago Diaz slowly pressed the tip of his fat cock against the girl's thigh. The girl's breath hitched, her hands gripping the bedsheets of the bed. She shut her eyes and pressed her lips in a thin line. This definitely wasn't what she was expected. She had seen many dicks throughout her slutty life, but she'd never seen one as veiny and as fat as Santiago's. She had thought she'd handle any dick… but Santiago proved her wrong. “Make a sound, and I'll make you regret it.” Santiago threatened, his voice slow, rough and chilling. “Got it?” Petrified, the girl quickly nodded her head, making a whimpering sound. “You better!” Then slowly, he thrust in. He watched the petrified girl in utter ecstasy and satisfaction as she let out a soundless groan, not in pleasure but in utter pain. He smirked, slowly pulled out and then thrust in again but this time, with a rough pace. “Ahh!” The girl yelped. “I told you to shut it!” He snarled. “It… it hurts.” The girl cried ou
Lucien's hand was sweaty. He parked the car in the parking lot and alighted. Making sure the car was fully locked and no one could see the suitcases on the back seat through the tinted glass, he walked towards the attendant booth. He paid the man and was given a receipt.“Everything alright, son?” The attendant, an old man asked upon noticing Lucien's slightly pale face.“Yes,” Lucien answered in a choked voice. The pep-talking didn't work. He was still a bit terrified of what he was getting himself into, but the money involved was too much… just too much… to resist. No man on earth could reject that amount of money. Besides, his mission was to spy on his boss and steer clear of him. He had served in the army a long time ago and was good at camouflaging, so it would be no problem.“Thank you,” Lucien said and then began to walk down to the road.He hailed a cab that drove him home.Allison was watching TV when he came home. Normally, she'd have been worried about his lateness but she
“Bye Mom!” Little Grace waved her Mom goodbye before dashing into the school.“Bye, honey.” She waved her off.She stood there watching her daughter disappear amidst the crowd full of little toddlers. She sighed and spun on her heels and began walking down the road back to their home… or rather their house. It didn't felt like a home to her anymore. It rather felt like someplace she needed to place her head in.She was no longer happy for some unexplainable reasons. Why? What could be the problem? Was it because Lucien refused to move with her to LA? Or was it something else? She couldn't tell. But deep down, she knew that her love for Lucien was no longer there anymore. How can her love for him just vanish out of the blue? Love was meant to endure, to last long and to overcome all struggles. Or was it not love? Was it just some silly infatuation she had?She and Lucien had met during their college days. Allison barely fell for any man no matter how handsome or sexy he was but somehow
“So, Allison, how have you been?” Jack asked, leaning back against the chair.Allison tucked her hair behind her ears, and she blushed a little, “I'm doing great. What about you?”Jack shrugged, “Well, looked at me. I'm doing great actually.” He paused and sipped his coffee.“That's nice.” Allison wrapped her hands around the cup of coffee, feeling the warmth. “So, what are you doing here?”“I'm here on a business trip,” Jack replied “Wow, that's huge,” Allison commented.“I know right, my parents sent me here to handle business matters so I can get to prove myself to him before I take over the company.”“Wow, your life is great.” Allison drawled, her voice laced with suppressed envy. She wasn't envious because Jack was now living his best life with loving parents. She was envious because no one had agreed to adopt her. “How's your parents? Are they nice?”“Oh, they're great!” He replied, “They're sweet. Such cute couple.”“I'm happy for you,” Allison said.Jack leaned off the chair
The driver behind the wheels, Ryan Miller, a man in his late thirties, handled the car with perfect expertise. Then he pulled his gaze from the road to the rearview mirror.“He stopped following us, boss.” He reported, returning his gaze to the road.“Hmm.” Came James' response. A bleak of amusement flickering in his eyes, “So, indeed, they hired him.”“I'm afraid so, boss,” Ryan said. There was a pause.A deadly one.So deadly that Ryan felt it. Ryan became suffocated and shifted nervously in his seat.He pulled his gaze away from the road again and stared at his boss through the rearview mirror, but he couldn't tell what he was thinking as his eyes were on the road.Ryan hesitated for a bit, pondering whether or not to ask, after a while, he decided to do it, “Boss, will you… will you kill him like you did to your other secretaries?”There was no response from James and Ryan shifted nervously again. That was a good question. Will he kill Lucien? To this question, James didn't have t
The elevator bell dinged and swung open. Jack stepped out and walked down the passage to his hotel room.He had just gotten back from a business dinner meeting and throughout the meeting, his mind kept wandering off to Allison now and then.It has been like this since last week he saw her. Allison now plagued his mind.It was exhausting. He kept trying to focus on the meeting as this meeting would determine whether or not he would take over his adoptive parents' company but all he kept doing was thinking about how breathtakingly stunning Allison had grown to be.He felt ashamed of himself. He always considered Allison nothing but a little sister as they had grown up in the same orphanage. But here he was thinking about her in a way he shouldn't.He had considered hooking up with a girl but was too drained to do that. The girl he had hooked up with last week was a crazy one.He couldn't risk getting another crazy girl.He halted just in front of the hotel room and unlocked the door wit
Lucien walked out of the building with another briefcase in his hand, his face gleaming with excitement. He still can't believe that these people were willing to throw such money on him all for a ledger. What is this ledger? Was it worth all the money these people were throwing at him? Does the ledger contain billions or something? He wondered as he walked towards his motorcycle. He got on top and drove toward the parking lot beside his workplace where he always packed. He put away the briefcase on the car that was given to him.Making a mental note to put away the money in the vault, he locked the door and ambled to the road to get a cab.Almost immediately, a white cab pulled up, as if it had been waiting for him.Unsuspicious Lucien opened the car and got in.The moment he sat down, he had this sinking feeling of premonition and quickly glanced at the driver only to see that there was a glass demarcation between the driver's seat and the back seat. His heart began to pound furiousl
“Oh, I'm coming!” Alberto Diaz groaned in ecstasy.Lucille held him tightly, her legs wrapped around his waist, her long finger nails digging into his skin, her teeth biting down on his lower lip.Alberto jerked in pleasure and then blew his loads into her hole. He slumped beside her and the two began to exhale.Lucille lay back on the bed, her eyes staring up at the ceiling. She was satiated, Alberto has always been a masterpiece when it comes to having sex. And that was one of the reasons she loved him to the core. The thing is, he doesn't have sex only for his own pleasure, but also for the pleasure of the woman he was having sex with.Even though he was now getting old, he still had his vigor.“That was awesome Sweetie.” Lucille purred, jerking forward to place her head on his manly chest.“Yeah,” Alberto muttered, caressing her hair with his hand. He bent down and kissed her on the lips, “You were awesome... as always.”Lucille couldn't help but blush. It's been more than three
Lucien halted his motorcycle by the roadside, out of James's view and took off his helmet. From where he was, he could see a man alight from the car and then he opened the car for James.James stepped down and two men dressed in suits sprung out from nowhere and bowed slightly to him.Lucien quickly brought out his camera and began to take photos. His suspicion was now confirmed.James is indeed from the Mafia world. One could see from the men's body language that they were terrified of him.He watched as James stepped into the restaurant and disappeared from view. He watched as one of the suited men got into the car and drove it to the parking lot. What is he doing in a restaurant? Lucien wondered inwardly, his curiosity piqued.Lucille's words rang in his ears.“Whatever happens, do not engage. Watch from the sidelines.”But his curiosity had already gotten the better of him. What could James possibly be doing inside a restaurant? He swung his leg off the bike and walked towards the
Tick tock! Tick tock!Lucien stared down at the wristwatch. It read 4:25Five minutes from now his boss would be stepping out of his office. He prepared himself, both mentally and physically.Another week had already passed and he hadn't gotten any information of where James usually goes to during these hours. He kept losing them in the rowdy roads full of cars.Harry has contacted him and asked for an update, but he's been promising them that he'd get something. His marriage with Allison was not perfect yet, but they were working on it. Allison has been sending applications to companies. Hopefully, she'll get lucky. His eyes shifted to his wristwatch again. It was now 4:38. He braced himself and made believe he was focusing on the papers in front of him.4:30He waited, his heart pounding against his ribs. The door opened and James stepped out with his suitcase.“Lucien,” James called his name and his heart fluttered. He still didn't know why his heart did that whenever his name came
Those arms… they're so… masculine! How I wish they would hold me! He's gotten way more handsome over these past few years.Allison was thinking as she flipped the egg.I wonder if he has a girlfriend. Surely he must have a girlfriend. God, I can't believe I'm jealous right now.She sighed helplessly, flipping the egg to the other side.Sadly, Jack still doesn't see me as a woman. I'm still that weak, frail girl he once knew. I wonder what it is that makes him not see me unattractive. Is he gay? No, that's ridiculous. Jack is straight.Maybe he doesn't see me as a woman, that's all.She sighed again.Maybe I should sort this out with Lucien. I have a family and it's breaking apart. I have to fix it.“I'm home,” Lucien announced as he stepped inside the house.Allison straightened up and tucked her hair behind her ears. “Hi,” She greeted awkwardly.“Hi,” Lucien replied, standing in the doorway that led to the kitchen. “Where's Grace?” He asked.“She's having a sleepover at one of friend
