"Why would you even think I made this up?" I pulled free from his grip, giving him an evil eye. "It wasn't even a minute after you left that I witnessed this." I stepped further away from him and sighed pitifully at him.
"Pathetic." I rolled my eyes and began to hie out of the bathroom. "Nothing permits you to drag me out of anywhere without my assent." I cautioned, locking our faces one more time before turning the knob and exiting the bathroom.
Walking out of the stall, I met the eyes of a red head youth, freckles dressing his face as he stood still, letting the water from the tap run down his hands.
I rolled my eyes at his knitted eyebrows and confused expression from catching the sight of the presence of a woman in the bathroom.
I took my exit and pulled my phone out to know if Becca would be done with her classes she could drive me home, as it was obvious Hazel was not down to take that activity.
A beeping sound followed the effect of her harsh contact with my skin and darkness clouded my eyes. It took a few victorious blinks to return to my senses.I found myself unable to put my hand down. It felt safe staying on my cheek. "Caramel!" I heard my mother call in caution, not standing to support me nor clarify what was going on."What gave you the fucking right to?" She swallowed. I observed the redness of her eyes as she spoke. It looked like she had been crying before I arrived. Unattractive dark circles had dressed her eyebrows as well."What the hell is going on?" My mood had been dismantled from the uncertainty that came with the slap she had offered.Neither of my sisters had ever raised their hands towards me since we had known each other."How could you?" She gripped my shirt and shook me repeatedly. "How could you have sent those pictures to Justine?" She cried, letting go off me.
By the time I got downstairs, they had formed a circle around Caramel like the scene before had not occured. That pissed me off to the brim. They had their fingers wrapped around her, delivering intentional comfort to her."Wow, I can't believe this." I mumbled to myself, clenching my fists tight by my side, unable to control the angry blood that rushed through my veins.I felt no regret from taking the actions I had taken just by watching them all and thought she deserved to go through the torture if she was going to feel that way."And where do you think you are going?" Becca noticed me just then, sharply standing to face my direction. She looked pissed, yet curious.I thought she didn't deserve an explanation from me and left without attempting to respond to her."Ally, stop right there." My father bellowed, causing my sister and I to flinch. I closed my eyes and put around to meet his gaze.
He blinked multiple times and poked his head out to see whether or not I had come by myself. Clarifying this essence, he found the strength to ask, "what are you doing here?""Please let me in." I sighed, taken aback by the tone of his voice. He sounded kind he had been sulking for a long time.I expected him to question my abrupt request, yet he moved from the door and granted me the permission to go in. "Are you okay?" I asked, knowing what his answer would be.He partially glared at me, placing his hands on his waist. "Do you really still expect me to be okay?""I did not expect you to send the picture to Caramel or break up with her." I frowned, the incident from home replaying in my mind."What was I supposed to do with it? Laugh it off?" He moved closer, a frown buried between his eyebrows."I don't know, sit to talk like adults?" I didn't care about them, or what they had to offer.
I could easily feel like it was the end of the road for us both. I wished my life could be free of drama, not constantly interrupted by alarming bad news, when it seemed like things were finally going my way."I can explain." I stepped forward, advancing towards them both as I made the first move. "I don't know what you two think this is but you have to listen to me first." It was the first time my heart was racing this fast and I was truly afraid of the consequences because I had done nothing wrong this time and considered it unsafe for them to make the decisions that led them to believe I was responsible for anything."Explain yourself?" Caramel shook herhead, her voice sounded like she had been crushed by a literal heavy metal. It was not challenging to tell she had yet to get over the incident from the previous day.Her hair sat in a messy bun that looked like it had been rough handled. Her face sat make up free while she
"You want to move out?" My mother sounded astonished by my delivered piece of information. I had expected a similar reaction but I didn't think she would grow as pale."Why would you want to move out?" My father said, speaking for the first time in the scene.I had no idea if it was right to explain how ignorant they were and how their reaction am yesterday had birthed my suggestion, but I decided against it."Mother, father." I cleared my throat, hoping I sounded the best version of a polite child. "Don't worry. Don't go thinking it's all because of yesterday. Yes, it inspired my suggestion but trust that it is something that had been going on in my mind for a really long time." I started. No matter the conviction they needed to her, I had made my mind up and there was no going back."But Ally, your father and I-" my mother began but I was sharp enough to cut her short."You see, mom, that is the p
Hazel followed inside with me. I was carried away by my lust for this stranger's free suggestion to have her room that I paid no attention to the look of disapproval on my friend's face."Wow!" I blurted out with pleasure. One side of the room was covered with banners of tattooed citizens from ceiling to floor and I loved how it brought the room to life."This is simply beautiful." I commented, eating the interior decoration with my eyes. The other three walls were painted in a dull chocolate brown colour. One side of the room had an empty bed bunk I proposed belonged to her former roommate. The room was strangely neat. There was a reading desk close to the window tha
"Mom, dad, I'm home." I announced, walking into the house and shutting the door behind me. Everything was in order and I could blame the neatness on Becca. She walked out of the kitchen holding a broom in her hands that were dressed with long cleaning gloves. I marveled on how she rarely ever got bored of doing such things that I played lazy with. "They are not home from work, save your breath." She rolled her eyes at me."Really?" I furrowed my eyebrows. They usually came home a lot early on Fridays. These days, I realized the inconsistency that followed working but I had paid less attention to it."Yes, really." She shrugged, wasting no time to drop the news. "How was your search for a dorm room?" She took the gloves off, "any progr
I blinked a few times to get a better image of what was going on around us. Caramel added more fuel to the fire, taking her time to kiss this lady.Admittedly, I felt my heart sink from the shock of the incident before me. My mother had gone frozen to the ground. Caramel pulled away from her kiss with a huge grin and then turned to look away, stopping when she caught our gazes. Her eyes widened and she looked like she had seen a sea of ghosts. Once she made eye contact with my mother, my mother fell back, landing in my hands.Caramel blinked, unable to keep eye contact with me. She took me by surprise, dashing out of the room and heading straight for the steps. Without thinking to help me get our mother back to stability, she was very
Justine seemed like he had been carried away when he said the words and so shook his head in disbelief, yelling my name after me. "Ally, wait!" He called.I did not wait, nor did I stop running. I began to cry automatically. I should have known there would be negative consequences for being with him. I was waiting for it, not in this form but I had expected it t
It was almost six in the evening. Sam and I were back from the hospital. I had made sure he went through the proper examination and that his ailment was diagnosed before we came back to his condo. Thankfully, he was not stuck in a situation so worse that he was unable to return to his base. Upon my arrival at his place and seeing him so inactive, I had expected him to be hospitalized but he took me by surprise, still standing tall to his feet, a lot more strengthened than previously. The doctor had administered some pills that would ease his pain and commit him to healing as soon as he could keep up with dedication. I was trying my best not to be judgemental about his situation but he looked like the kind of person that did not believe in pills. I was almost certain he would stop taking them as soon as he thought he felt better, not when the doctor had ordered.
BeccaI picked a book from my school bag, ready to dive into the knowledge that came with school. I picked my phone up to set it to vibrate so there would be no distractions from people while I chose to study. Whilst taking the action, a surprising phone call came in, causing me to furrow my eyebrows suspiciously. It was from Sam, my sister's previous boyfriend."What's up?" I rhetorically directed before putting the phone up to my ear and answering it."Becca?" He called in a choking voice. That instantly got me to feel worried."Sam? Is everything okay?" I needed to know, crossing my leg over the other and bracing myself for some bad news as even from the sound of h
"Call us when you need anything." My mother made sure to warn as soon as I was at the dorm once more. I rolled my eyes for the umpteenth time but nodded in understanding."Sure mom, I pretty much heard you the first one hundred times." I teased, placing my bag filled with healthy food items my mother had forced me to take with me."You have to call me a lot more often so I can keep updating, promise me that." She pleaded with me."I assure you I will try my best." I said, even being aware I was not willing to constantly phone her and keep her updated on my life."Bye dear." My mother waved me off and I watched her leave down the hall before raising my head to the hall
"What?" Becca was the first to break the silence in the room. I noticed the smug look on Caramel's face as she shut her eyes tight. She was trying her best to contain her emotions, that was evident."What do you mean you are pregnant? My mother added in a faint voice.I swallowed, they had still been unable to decide on how to react to the words I had told them."It's true." I stood to my feet, sighing on the words, "the doctor said that today while I was at the hospital.""Wow," Caramel stood up after me, "that means you two were already involved in each other even before I identified as bisexual?" She felt hurt.
Ally"Wait!" Justine continued to call behind me. I had no particular destination I was headed but I went straight for it. For some reason, it felt safer to leave the premises to go ahead and think about it.Justine increased his pace and eventually managed to catch up with me. "Ally." He grabbed my arm from behind.I spun around to meet his gaze. I wanted to know what he had to say to this matter but instead of talking, he faced me in the same manner. It was as if he was expecting the same from me."I can't have a child now. My life is ruined." I began to sob.He held me at arms length. "Why? What e
"Pregnant?" I repeated after the doctor. I was sure I had heard him wrong. "Excuse me?" I alarmed, afraid to face the words I had just heard. I could feel myself getting choked up by the air around me. It was eerie. I hoped the doctor would claim his words were a joke, else I braced myself for another round of unhealthy unconsciousness."Yes, ma-am, you are..." he could already tell that I was not taking the news well because he had his doubts with containing enthusiasm in his voice on my behalf."No!" I screamed, turning to look at Justine. It was barely even a week since I had unprotected sex with Justine at the party but I never hoped thought that it could lead to having to carry his child. It was not my first time having risky sex and none of them ever resulted in pregnancy.
"Who is that?" Sam let go of Caramel, his personal fear setting in from the effect of the shock that followed the sudden intrusion of what he must have tagged an unknown presence."Caramel, I give you the count of three. Don't make me do something as funny as call the cops on you." Justine sounded so determined. For my state of mind, I would have been particularly interested in screaming his name but I was weaker than a day old child and I felt as if all the blood that flowed through my veins had been drained."How did he get here?" She began to panic, pacing around the room. "This is bad." She declared. They were clearly not professional enough and hence risked getting caught whether or not they tried to avoid it."Who the heck is he?
"You do?" Hazel sounded relieved, yet bothered at the same time. I nodded in affirmation. "There is one place Caramel would go that no one else in the world would and if my statistics are right, that is affirmative where she is." I told her, turning around to the passenger side of the car, hoping both women would follow me into her car while we went on the search for Ally."Are you suggesting that we left for there?!" Hazel was alarmed, staring at me in utter disbelief."Why not?" I narrowed my eyes between them both seeing as Ride looked like she was against my opinion as well."If this has to with the cops, let us get there first and confirm. Knowing Cara, she is a
