Not wanting people to know what happened, Gwen got herself quickly patched up at the hospital and then went home. She was scared. Klaire had found out. It was all over for the both of them. She should have known better than to get into a relationship with Casey. And yet, all the warnings her brain gave her were ignored by her heart.

Casey derived someone better than Klaire. She and him miserable and so Ava, stepped in, wanting to be his savior and take away all the misery he got from her. And he depended on her for it.
