Chapter 82: Do Anything to Make You Happy

Prisley returned to the office, her smile a bit stiff. The last part of her talk with Steve had stirred up memories she didn’t want to face.

Mark walked in with his usual warm smile. “What’s wrong, Prisley? Not feeling well?” He immediately noticed something was off and gently rubbed her arms.

Prisley quickly composed herself and forced a light smile. “I’m fine, just a bit tired.”

Mark gently hugged her, caressing her slightly rounded belly. “Why don’t you take a break from work and rest at home? We can talk about work after the baby is born.”

His voice was soothing and chased away Prisley’s gloom.

Prisley sighed, feeling warm and touched. “I’m okay. I can work.”

Lately, her emotions had been all over the place. Since she became pregnant, even small things affected her more, and she’d occasionally cry over minor issues. Mark always showed up just when she needed him, wrapping her in his tenderness and care.

“Are you sure? Really?” Mark asked with concern.

Prisley nodded and smiled at
