Chapter 75: None of Your Business

Prisley was in Mark’s arms, feeling a bit uneasy despite the intimacy they’d just shared. She told him she was tired and stopped talking.

The sex with Mark was enjoyable, but deep down, she felt unsettled.

Prisley never truly loved Mark. But seeing how hard he tried to win her over, she didn’t want to hurt him.

From the day she agreed to be his girlfriend, she kept telling herself that love could grow. Mark was on the same wavelength as her. They understood each other so well. They could laugh and cry together. They didn’t even need words to know what the other was thinking.

A person so in tune with her had to be the ideal boyfriend, right?

But she realized she was wrong. After the physical pleasure faded, Prisley saw that Mark hadn’t touched her heart. Looking into Mark’s sincere eyes, she couldn’t bring herself to tell him the truth.
