Chapter 101: Bringing Her Home

When Heather appeared in Prisley's sight, her heart skipped a beat.

She stared at Mark in surprise and asked, "Why is he here?"

In her mind, Mark and Heather were like water and fire, harboring deep animosity towards each other. She had never imagined that Mark and Heather would be in the same room, let alone in such a peaceful manner.

Mark’s gaze was gentle and warm. "Right now, you might need him more than me."

"Prisley, I shouldn't have doubted you, putting you in danger and forcing you to be rushed to the hospital."

Mark’s eyes were filled with regret as he tenderly caressed Prisley's face.

"I know I'm not the one you love most. I'm stepping aside. The time we spent together was the happiest days of my life. Thank you."

His eyes began to well up with tears again.

Prisley reached out, wiping his tears with her fingers, her emotions swirling. "Thank you too, Mark. You’ll always be my best friend."
