The next day, as early as four in the morning I was already awake. I am already used to waking up at home because I have to finish up my house chores before my parents wake up or I will be punished.

After sitting Idle for about thirty minutes, I decided to go and see if there was anything I could do. They were already feeding and giving me free accommodation. The least I could do is help out with the house chores.

I went down stairs, And looked around. The house is very neat so there isn’t much to clean up. I made breakfast, pancakes and strawberry syrup. I hope they liked it though. This is one of the easiest things to make for breakfast. I then went back to the room trying to see if I could go back to sleep.

Two hours later, I went down and met Rose and John already having their breakfast.

“Good morning” I greet both of them

“Morning Sophia, how was your night?” John asked.

“Morning to you Sophia, did you make this? Rose asked point at the pile of pancakes in her front.

I do hope she isn’t angry. Some women hate it when others use their kitchen.

“Yes I did, I hope you are not angry, I use your kitchen without asking first”. I said in a low voice, keeping my finger crossed. I can’t have the nicest person I ever met in my life get angry at me.

“No, I don't mind at all. I actually wanted to compliment you, the food is very delicious. So cheer up. Nobody is angry with you, okay?” Rose said as she gave me a big smile.

“Oh! Thanks!” I said while blushing.

“Alright ladies! Off to work I go.” John said as he gave Rose a light kiss on her lips and made his way out of the house.”

Rose and I washed the dishes after we were done with breakfast. Rose went out shopping. So I have the whole house to myself. I still don’t understand how they can trust a rogue so much. For all they know, I could actually be a thief or a serial killer. Or maybe this could be their way of testing me. I knew that Beta was up to no good.

Three hours later, Rose can back from shopping. She brought me a box filled with clothes. Seeing it, I began to cry. The last time my parents got me new clothes was when I was fifteen years old. The clothes were not even new. It was thrifty.

“Shhh why are you crying?”. Rose said, looking worried.

“I …..” I started saying before I burst into tears again.

“Why?”

“ Why are you being so nice to me?” I finally asked her the question that had been on my mind since the first day at the hospital.

Rose smiled, “well let’s just say, you remind me so much of myself.”

“What? How?” I asked in confusing not understanding what she meant”

“Yes! Two years ago, I was in a similar situation or maybe in a much worse one than you were”.

“You mean that pack banished you too?” I asked her, "I'm still very curious".

“Oh not that, I am a human, I am surprised you didn’t notice.” Rose laughed.

“Wow! I thought you were a werewolf too. But how come you smell like one?” I was surprised at her revelation. I would have never believed she is a human, well it’s not as if I have come in contact with any before. I have never actually left my pack until the day that I was banished.

“Well I guess it has to do with the fact that I am part of the pack or because I am mated to a wolf”. Rose stated.

“Yeah that’s true! But wait how did your Alphas react with you joining the pack, back in my old pack, we are not allowed to mate with a human. If your mate is a human, you either accept him or her and get banished from the or you reject your mate and you remain in the pack.” I said as I remember instances where people in my pack were left in a dilemma what to do because of this stupid law enforced by our Alpha.

“Really? That’s so cruel of your Alpha. What a wick man. As for the Alphas of this pack, they were very welcoming and accommodating. They gifted this house to John and I as our wedding gift”. Rose said while smiling.

“Wow they sound like nice people, I wish we were part of this pack!” Aliyah said to me.

“I wish Aliyah too, I really do,” I replied.

“ That's very nice of them. So how did you find yourself here?” The curiosity in me still wanted to get the full gist of the story.

“Oh dear, I didn’t come here myself, John found me and brought me. At first, he was ready to leave the pack if his Alphas didn’t approve of me. My dad died when I was just six years old, things were going good for my mom and I tow after until when she got fired from her one day. Out of frustration, she went into drinking and became drunk. At first, she would only emotionally abuse me, calling all manner of things saying I was bad luck. That I was the reason why my dad died, why she lost her job and why we are in this current situation.

As time went on, she started using her hands on me, she would beat until I was almost unconscious. I have to wear makeup to class to hide it. At the age of then, I was already supporting myself financially. I would babysit my neighbors door for a couple of dollars. I would sometimes mow their yards too and get paid for it. When I grew older, I started babysitting their children and working as a waitress in a restaurant. I was able to pay my school fee until high school and I got a scholarship for university.

It was during my last year in medical college that I met John. We were on a field trip in the woods. I went for a stroll and I found him unconscious. Apparently, John had gotten attacked by some rogues and was left alone to die. I wasn’t able to pick him up because of his weight so I went back to the camp and called for help.

But immediately John woke up, he refused to allow me to leave his side. Turns out that he knew I was his mate right away.

We started dating two months later, he didn’t inform me that he was a werewolf at first but I always had my suspicion that there was something different about him. When he told me that he is a werewolf, I thought he was joking and so I laughed it up until he transformed into one in my present and I panicked and ran away.

The idiot thought that I had rejected him. Two weeks later, his friend came to me and begged me to come see him because he was missable.

I went and explained to him that I wasn’t going to reject him, I was just shocked.

And well the rest were history.”. Rose concluded with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes.

“Wow!” That’s all I could say because I am very speechless right now.

“Wow indeed, come let’s go make lunch. Am quite hungry”. Rose said as she stood up and made her way to the kitchen. I stood up and followed her too
