Laura told Sage, "It's not hard to see that Jace still loves you. I don't know if you still love him or not. I'm no love guru, but if you're still in love with each other, why don't you give yourself another chance?"

Laura did not understand Sage. Laura had always been straightforward with her feelings. If she liked somebody, she would go for it. If she no longer had any feelings for him, she would split up with him.

With death constantly looming around the horizon, Laura had no time to wait for happiness to come knocking.

Sage was not convinced. "It's because you have yet to fall in love. Just wait until you fall in love with another person. Then, you'll understand that love isn't binary. There are always some external factors that you have to consider. Those who are able to be together are always the fortunate ones, but unfortunately, not everybody can be so fortunate."

Sage did not tell Laura how disappointed she was when she signed her name on the divorce papers. She could not
