A sports car tore down the street with both women inside with the speakers blaring. Laura swayed softly to the song. Her eyes closed, and her hands outstretched to feel the wind coursing through her palms.

Kane, on the other hand, was in a blue sports car, driving just behind them. When Kane saw that slim, outstretched hand, he felt a sudden rising urge. He could feel his body burning up.

Kane could only crank up the air conditioning.
