Jace frequently drove Sage around and somewhat became her driver. However, he enjoyed it.

The two did not speak to each other, so it was very quiet in the car.

Jace got a few big boxes out of nowhere and piled all of them on the back seat. Sage had to sit in the front passenger seat because there was nowhere else to sit. She understood his trick, but she simply ignored it and played on her phone instead.

Her comment was pertinent and neutral, but it sounded rather perfunctory and polite.
