The pony was just as frightened by the sudden turn of events. After Melody finally recovered from her outburst, she walked up to the pony and started stroking its mane to calm it down.

Sage wasn't planning on hiding anything, "Almost. Melody was adopted by my brother, Ross. Ross found her abandoned at a foot of a mountain and he took her home. Then he told everybody that she was his, and said her mother died during childbirth. Grandmother believed him and raised her like our own. Not long after, Grandmother fell ill and could no longer keep Melody by her side. After that, Melody was sent to Rosa Garden."
