The store they were in sold clothes of an alternate fashion style. In other words, it was retro fashion, but to put it bluntly, it was simply old-fashioned.

Sage picked out a set of clothes for Jace and another set for herself. She chose a light gray sweater, a knit shirt, and a pair of light blue flared pants. After changing into the new clothes, she looked at her look and decided to tie her wavy hair in a high ponytail and remove most of her makeup.

She admired herself in the mirror when she was done and thought she looked good.

Sage lifted the curtain of the modest dressing room and saw a slender figure with its back to her. Jace was playing with the fish in the tank.

When Jace heard the movement, he turned around and met Sage's eyes. For a moment, he was stunned.

When Jace saw Sage dressed like this, for a moment, he thought they had gone back to the time when Sage was still Sage Luz. It felt like she was still his simple, soft, and obedient little wife from the countryside.
