40: Fight and Make up  

Pag-uwi ni Emy ay sinalubong agad siya ng pamilya niya saka siya pinagkwento sa kung ano ang nangyari. Sinabi naman niya agad iyon sa kanila.

Pero kahit na ikinuwento na niya sa kanila ay hindi pa rin naubusan ng tanong ang mga ito.

In fact, hindi siya nito tinantanan hanggang sa matapos ang hapunan.

She was tired and feeling irritated ng sa wakas ay makapasok na siya sa kwarto niya. Agad siyang naghubad at naghanda na para matulog. Pahiga na sana siya sa kama niya ng biglang bumukas ang bintana niya. Naramdaman niya ang pagpasok doon ng isang tao.

"And here I thought you're gonna wait for me." Sebastian said.

"Why would I?" She asked coldly.

The window closed saka siya may narinig na lumalakad. Emy couldn’t see anything. She had already turn off the lamp kanina pa.

Then she felt him stop in front of her.

"Why wouldn't you?"

His hand found her chin saka inangat nito ang mukha niya.

Emy's breathing changed. The closeness between them was too much.

Kaya naman inalis niya agad ang kamay nito at saka siya naupo sa kama niya.

"Leave. I am tired and just want to rest."

"Really?"

"Yes, really." Inis niyang sagot.

Muling lumakad ang binata. For a moment, Emy thought that he was really gonna leave. A sudden panic rose in her chest.

Pero hindi naman pala aalis ang binata. He turned on the lamp at nagliwanag ang buong kwarto niya.

Her heart beat loudly as she looked on the Prince's face.

Just what the hell was happening to her?

Doon naman napansin ni Sebastian na nakapantulog na ang dalaga. She was wearing thin clothes and by the light of the lamp he could see her skin.

Agad siyang nag-iwas ng tingin. He had no cloak to give her tonight. Nagmadali siyang magpunta sa dalaga dahil baka matulog na ito.

And he was almost correct. Patulog na ito ng abutan niya.

Because of that thought, bumalik na naman ang inis niya.

"You seem to be really happy kanina. Mukhang gustong gusto mo si Vio ah. You are usually tough but that dog suddenly made you scared." Nakangising sabi niya sa dalaga.

Agad naman siyang sinamaan nito ng tingin.

"I don't think that's your business."

Napatawa ng pagak si Sebastian. "Not my business, huh? I told you my plans against Vio. And now, nang dahil lang sa pagmamatachmake ng Emperor, mukhang ttraydurin mo ako."

Emy was hurt because of his words. Was that really how he see her?

She breathed deeply.

"You told me your plans by yourself. I never asked them from you. As for the matchmaking of the Emperor, well, is it bad of me to realize that Vio is the easiest way to be an Empress?"

Napatiim bagang si Sebastian. "You told me you never want to be one."

"Yes, but you made me realize that I should. It was Diana's goal. And wouldn't it be like hitting two birds with one stone if I will end up with Vio? Nakuha ko na ang lalaking gusto ni Diana, sure pa na magiging Empress ako."

Naikuyom ni Sebastian ang kamao niya sa galit. But was not enough. In few strides, nakarating siya agad sa harapan ni Emy. He hold her chin and made her look up to him.

"And do you really think I will let that happen?" Naniningkit ang mga mata niya habang nakatingin kay Emy.

She tried to remove his hand but his grip was firm. Bukod pa doon ay inilapit pa ng binata ang mukha nito sa kanya.

"I won't let anyone have you, Emy." Pabulong nitong sabi sa kanya. His hot breath touched her skin and it brought strange feelings to her.

Bigla namang kinuha nito ang comforter niya saka ibinalot sa kanya. He was quick kaya hindi agad nakareact si Emy.

Nabalutan na siya nito ng matauhan siya.

"Hey, let me go!"

"Shhh... You'll wake the whole city. Be quiet."

He bridal carried her saka siya nito inihiga sa kama. Hindi siya makaalis sa pagkakabalot nito sa kanya dahil pati ang mga kamay niya ay trapped sa loob nung comforter like a spring roll.

"Get me out of here. Now." Sinamaan pa niya ito ng tingin pero hindi siya nito pinansin. He even removed the hair on her face.

"Ano ba? I said let me go."

"Quiet." Then he caressed her cheeks.

"You are not being honest, Emy."

Emy snorted. "About what?"

"About your feelings. About that matchmaking."

She looked at him coldly. "You don't know me, your highness. I will do everything to protect my family. The Emperor wants me to marry your brother. Do you really think I can say no to that?"

"There's always a way out."

"Really? Funny that my family aren’t able to think one."

Natahimik silang pareho for a long time.

Then Sebastian leaned his head on her chest. She was wrapped by the comforter kaya wala itong mararamdaman doon. But still she tried to wriggle out.

"There's always a way out." He said again. Then he looked at her. "Marry someone else habang hindi pa namamanhikan sila dito."

Emy looked at him disbelievingly. Then she laughed coldly. "There you are again sprouting things as if it is just that easy to do."

"Well, it is really easy, you know. In fact, I have the intention to do it. If I take you now and everyone finds out in the morning, surely, you will be married to me instead of Vio."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Emy.

Then Sebastian's face slowly got near hers.

"H-hey, don't even think about it."

Pero hindi siya pinansin nito. Naramdaman na lang niya ang paglapat ng labi nito sa noo niya which quickly petrified her. Then his lips started to travel on her temples... on her cheeks... on her nose...

His fingers lifted her face and started kissing her left jaw up until her chin. Then she felt his lips on her right jaw, following the pattern he used on her left.

When he stopped on her chin again ay tinignan siya nito. Then his eyes landed on her lips. He was about to lean down ng magpanic si Emy.

"F-fine! There's always a way out. Oo na. Tama ka na." She said frantically. Napangiti naman si Sebastian, his eyes had a hint of dangerous darkness on it.

But he supressed that saka siya umayos ng upo.

"Speak."

"I am not really going to marry Vio. I have no plan to do so. But I can't just make a drastic move because the Emperor might take it differently.

"I can't also just simply say no because surely, I will be punished along with my family.

"However, if I can make Vio back out on the marriage voluntarily, then it will be great. But it seems impossible to happen.

"So ang choice ko na lang ay ang pagbackoutin siya involuntarily."

Sebastian raised his eyebrow at her. "And how do you plan to do it?"

"I have already contacted the important people for this plan. You just have to wait for the result one of these days."

"Tell me."

Nang hindi nagsalita si Emy ay inilapit niya ang mukha niya rito. Agad namang napilitan ang dalaga.

"I... I am planning to use the same method as yours."

Nangunot ang noo ni Sebastian habang nag-iwas namang ng tingin niya si Emy.

"What is it?"

"I am planning to drug him and Diana, and make sure that people will know by the morning na magkasama sila. That way, the shame and trouble won't be pointed at me but to them."

Sebastian smirked. Muli ay inilapit niya ang mukha niya sa dalaga.

"Then why did you lie to me earlier?"

Mag-iiwas sana ng paningin niya si Emy kaso nahawakan niya na agad ang mukha nito.

"Tell me, Emy."

"Well, I am pissed at you. You're gone suddenly and when you showed up, galit ka pa?"

"How can I not be angry? Ilang araw lang akong nawala tapos pagbalik ko, nakikipagdate ka na sa kapatid ko."

"Ilang araw lang?" Emy repeated saka natawa ng pagak.

"You sound like a nagging wife."

Sinamaan siya nito ng tingin.

"Fine. Kasalanan ko na. I was supposed to say goodbye to you that night na umuwi ka dito. But you were already resting well. I thought you might not be able to go back to sleep kapag sinabi ko sayo kaya naman hindi ko na tinuloy."

"As if…"

Napangiti si Sebastian saka hinawakan sa pisngi ang dalaga. Tapos ay tinitigan niya ng matagal ang mukha ng dalaga to the point na nailang na ito sa kanya.

"Stop it." Emy said annoyingly.

Sebastian just chuckled saka tumayo na.

"I am going now."

"Kanina ka pa nga dapat umalis eh."

He smirked at her bago humakbang na papunta sa may bintana.

But he found himself going back to where she was.

"A-anong..."

Hindi na natuloy ni Emy ang sasabihin niya because Sebastian's lips touched hers.

Nanlaki ang mga mata niya but she couldn't make herself to protest at all.

Hanggang sa hindi na lamang iyon simpleng paglalapat ng labi nila. He started to move his lips and her ears were suddenly occupied by a deafening beat.

And then he stopped and their eyes had met.

He was catching his breath while she was holding hers.

Sebastian touched her lips gently and then smiled. "Goodnight."

This time, totoo ng umalis ang binata. Naiwan siya doon na nabibingi pa rin sa tibok ng puso niya. Her face felt very hot like if she looked herself in front of the mirror she would find her face very red.

Si Sebastian naman ay hindi makapaniwala sa ginawa niya. But he couldn’t deny the effect of that lady to him. In fact, his heart was still feeling sharp pains habang naiisip niya ito.

He massaged his heart. All the more reason na hindi dapat mapunta sa iba si Emy. And that was what he was going to make sure.
