Chapter 5

ALPHA DYLAN’S POV

I felt relaxed as I journeyed back home. I couldn’t lie to myself. I was excited to get back to Nisha and I was going to give her the best sex of her life. Just as I had predicted, making her my Luna would curb her from having sex all around. Then I thought of what to do to make tonight a really special one as I walked through the woods of our borders.

As I got back to the palace, my beta walked up to me, and greeted me, but his expression was a suspicious one. It seemed like something had happened.

“Anything going on?” I asked as I looked at him suspiciously.

“I’m sorry Alpha. It backfired. The Luna is under room arrest for having sex with the gardener.” He said, with his eyes fixed to the ground.

“What!” I said sharply.

My heart broke into two, which rendered me speechless.

“I’m sorry, Alpha. I am to blame. I shouldn’t have suggested a person like that to you.” He said as he knelt down on the floor.

“Alpha. This is a disgrace to the palace. If she were to commit such a heinous crime, why did it have to be a gardener? We can never forgive such atrocity.” Elder James said, looking furious.

It broke my heart that my image and position couldn’t save her. It was a tradition and rule that once a Luna sleeps with any man apart from the Alpha, she will be sentenced to death. I had come to understand her issue and I knew that she had not done it intentionally.

~flashback~

“She is your mate, and a good one, but her problem will cause a lot of obstacles. You must learn to wield them with your sword as you are her Alpha and the one who would be willing to embrace and fight for her.”

~back to reality~

“She has to die. There is no exemption. The moment we start breaking the rules, our customs won’t be rigid nor respected, anymore.” Elder Rin added.

I was angry, but there was nothing I could do about it. They all began to murmur, seeing that I was not saying anything. Then I slammed my hand on the table, with anger.

“So…be…it.” I managed to say those words in full.

I felt pain within me and incapability to save my Luna settled in my heart, making me feel less of an Alpha King. Everyone looked at me, shocked. They were certainly expecting me to protest against it, or try to fight for her, but my hands were tied. Well, there was only one way to seem just.

“But give her tonight to learn why she shouldn’t have done what she did.”

I got into Nisha’s chambers, looking at her with pain in my heart and I could see guilt written all over her face, and she couldn’t look into my eyes.

“I’m sorry. I know that most people would say they deserve death, but I would love a second chance.” She said as tears rolled down her cheeks, without looking at me.

Then I walked up to her and held her chin, facing her to look at me.

“You do not need to ask for a second chance before I think about it. I want to give a hundred chance, but… I am bound by the laws of the land, and as an Alpha, I can’t break it.” I said, looking into her eyes, with affection.

“You aren’t angry with me?”

“No. I know that you didn’t do it on purpose. In fact, you really tried to get this far.” I said as I planted a kiss on her lips.

Then I withdrew from her.

“I have a solution and I will let you know, in the middle of the night. While we wait, why don’t we spend our last moment, happily?” I asked as I trailed my hand to her back.

I knew that would send a signal to her body, and with the mating power, she wouldn’t be able to resist my touch.

“You want us to…”

I hushed her, looking at her affectionately.

“I wanted to have a good one with you, and I will make this, the best you have ever had. So that you remember this wherever you are.” I said, with a slight smile on my face.

Then I placed a light kiss on her lips and I began to smooch all the soft parts of her body, making her breath hard for more. Then I began to trail her neck with my tongue, slowly as I laid her on the bed. We both took off our clothes and then I started with sucking her breasts which I knew she loved very much.

She began to breathe hard and then widening my legs, wanting to take in my bulging dick.

“Do you want us to go straight to it?” I asked as I loved the look of desire in her eyes.

“yes.” She said softly as she widened her legs even more.

Then I placed my dick at the entrance of her vagina and I slowly slid in and out, making her gasp in pleasure. Then she kissed me and I continued to slide in, increasing my pace until I released. After our sex, we were quiet, dreading each minute as they passed by. I stroked her hair, lightly and hoped that she felt loved with the way I was treating her.

When midnight finally came, I stood up and held her hands.

“It’s time. Follow me.” I said to her.

She looked baffled, but I assured her that it was fine. I held her hand as I led her through a tunnel and at the end of the tunnel was the woods.

“Run, Nisha. I can not protect you in this situation. I am sorry.” I said as I fought back the tears which wanted to come out.

She shook her head, lightly. She was clearly not ready to part with me, but there was no choice.

“Leave now, Nisha. It is better to stay alive without me, than be dead, knowing that I can never set eyes on you again.” I said, with a worried look and gave her a last kiss.

Then she ran and I watched as she ran as fast as she could, with tears in her eyes. I felt heartbroken, seeing that she was sad, but there was still nothing I could do about it. I went back to my room and growled as loud as I could, in pain. I felt to my knees and I buried my head in my bed for a long while.

After a long while, I heard a knock on my door. It was my beta.

“Go away. I am not in the mood to see anyone.”

“Alpha, the Luna is gone.” He reported to me.

I was aware of that already, but so I didn’t budge.

“Well, that’s much better. She deserves a chance, but the law won’t grant that. I guess the moon goddess is on her side.”

“Alpha, I mean she is dead. They caught her and have killed her already.”

“What?” I looked at him sharply, looking shocked.
