Chapter 26

Lee stared at me when she noticed the change in my expression when I read through the message on my screen, and to make matters worse, Kai suddenly left his group of friends and was approaching my direction. I needed to go to Elijah, I couldn't disobey his orders now that I knew what he really was. I could feel hot and cold shivers chasing themselves down my spine.

"Hey babe," Kai' arms wrapped around me when he neared, pulling me closer as his lips seized my lips.

It was enough distraction that I needed, my mind whirled when our lips touched and I exhaled harshly, my tensed shoulders softening from his touch. I reminded myself that there was no need to be scared of Elijah and he wouldn't hurt me, I was sure all he wanted to do was talk and I hoped for my sake that I was right.

"Alright, both of you. Get a room for freaking sake!"
