Chapter 3

In front of the cabin, Lydia loaded her pistol and stepped carefully towards the cottage. She was scared that they might hear her loud heartbeats.

Her breath was shallow and deep, she was trying to drag more air into her shivering lips. Her forehead was sweating, even if it was an afternoon of February.

All of sudden, she barged hastily into the cabin, holding her pistol tightly and placing her finger on the trigger, ready to shoot at any time.

She pointed the pistol to the front, as her hands were trembling and shivering. Could she be able to do it?

“Do not move!!” she yelled “I will shoot!!!”

She looked around her, but found no one in front. She was sure that someone would be hiding in the cabin, however she was shocked that she found no one.

Frightening her, was the large pond of red fresh blood, that seemed still warm and new. She knew, then, that they were near around.

Then, out of blue, a man from behind the door barged at her, wrapping his muscular arms around her body and claiming her breast and waist with his large hands.

“Ah!” she moaned as she sensed his hands on her body.

The man tightened his grip around her, sticking her body to his, as she could feel his rocky breast, manly powered arms, and stead as mountains legs.

Then, he snatched the pistol out of her hand and threw it far away from her, where she could not threaten him at all.

“Any move, and I will kill you.” He murmured quietly in her ear.

Feeling his temperature, oozing blood and weak voice, she knew that he was deeply injured. It was her only chance to escape from his grip.

She did not utter any word, but acted like he wanted. Suddenly, she turned around hastily and pinched him with all of her might at his wound, where it really hurt.

“Ahh!!” he let go of a loud scream that ached her heart for him, however she did not give it any attention, but ran for her pistol and pointed it again towards him.

The man fell on the ground after her painful pinch, and she was sure that the wound was so deep and fatal, that made a powerful guy such as him fall on the ground and moan in pain.

“Do not move!” she yelled as she shot a bullet by his side “I will not hesitate to kill you!!”

The man looked at her with anger burning in his eyes. He seemed a man molded from a different cast as he had an androgynous look uncommon to most people. Lacquered and enameled by the sun, he radiated energy and brio. His button nose and half-dome mountain peak cheekbones, that appeared chiseled into shape by a master craftsman, sat above an oaken jaw. They were of such sharp contours, it looked as if they were sculpted and pared to perfection.

His eyes had the same startling clarity as a mountain stream and the lineaments of his face were in perfect proportion to each other. They were as bright and spellbinding as lode stars, they bewitched all those who fell under his steady gaze. They were a-sparkle with mirth and shone like two eternity jewels enwrought in snow. They shone brightly, like two jewels dipped in milky pools.

Oddly, his hair was all white, although he looked young. White like the snow mountains of February. Was he really a human being?

“Who are you?” she roared “And how did you enter to my place??”

“…” the young man remained silent, only glaring at her face and taking deep breathes.

“Who are you??? And how did you enter here?? I am asking you!!”

“And who are you to question me?”

“You are a stranger here, I have the total right to kill you or report you to the police! Answer me now! Otherwise, you will surely regret it!! I warn you! One… Two…”

      “Little princess… I… Fear… No… Uh…”

The young man fell on his face all of sudden, as his legs and body betrayed him. His wound was consuming his energy and the pond of scarlet seemed to drain most of his blood. He could not hold it and act tough anymore, but his weakness pulled him down.

“Oh my god!!” cried Lydia as she ran towards him.

Although she was a smart and a keen girl, however her sensitive side made her soft in front of his struggles and pain. She could not bear seeing him suffering.

Lydia approached him hastily and changed his position to the back, so that his wound would not press to the ground. After assessing his injury, she could know that it was a sword’s cut. He was surely stuck in a fierce fight.

His wound was bleeding continuously, oozing pus, blood and liquids, which made her sure that he had been injured and untreated for several days. The looks of the wound seemed that it aged about five days.

Quickly and involuntarily, Lydia unwore her warm scarf and placed it at his wound site, trying her hardest to stop the wild bleeding. Otherwise, he might die in her arms.

She kept pressing at his wound and trying to close it together, just until she could bring the first aid equipment or even ask for a doctor to save him.

Why was she acting kindly to him? How did an intruder make her sympathetic to him? Wasn’t she ready to kill him, so what changed then??

Many questions stirred in her mind, but she did not have time to think about her actions, for all what she was focusing on was saving the handsome man in front of her.

Although he was unconscious and did not witness how g=hard she was trying for him, however he could sense that she was pressing on his wound with her own personal clothes.

He did not understand such a naïve action as well.
