Amelia picked up her phone and ran out of the room after she saw James was bent on getting his slut naked right in front of her. She cried aloud as she ran to nowhere in particular. She could feel her heart breaking into pieces inside of her. ‘Why did I ever think he would feel something for me?! Why did I believe he would want to have anything to do with me! He has always made it so clear but I keep giving myself stupid hopes! You’re a fool Amelia.’ She ran up to the third floor and entered one of the rooms. She switched on the lights and looked around briskly. She walked to the neatly laid bed and sat on it. She lowered her head and continued crying. At that point, she needed a friend badly, but she had known. “Shouldn’t he have at least done this another day? I would have preferred he ignored me and sent me out of the room alone. Not with another woman!” She mumbled in tears. Her phone began to ring all of a sudden, and she wiped her eyes with her hand and checked who the cal
Amelia was done preparing breakfast, and she served it out on a white ceramic plate. She put some of the crumbled eggs on one side of the plate and the ground turkey on the other side. She placed it on a white tray and smiled widely as she stared at the food. She had tasted it, and she believed he was going to love it. She filled the glass jug with water and put a glass cap in the tray too. She headed out of the kitchen and walked to the dining table. She lifted her feet carefully so that she wouldn’t spill anything. She got to the dining table and looked up to see James seated already. Next to him was the woman that came home with him last night. She stopped in surprise and stared at both of them. ‘Don’t tell me you want me to feed her too.’ She thought. “What are you waiting for? Serve the meal,” James said, and she bounced her head slowly. She placed the tray in front of him and looked at the woman again. She looked truly beautiful and classy. “Why is there just a plate? M
Amelia drove to the company herself. She was happy she could still remember all she was taught at school about driving. James left the house the same time she left too. He didn’t say a word to her but she went ahead to greet him. She wasn’t bothered that he didn’t give her a response. She wanted to focus on the positives alone. She got to her desk at the office and arranged it. She missed the table so much. If not for Helen, she would have never had the chance to work in his company anymore. She began to work on her laptop shortly, when she heard someone approaching. She lifted her head and saw Tina standing in front of her. “Hi, Tina. Good morning.” She let out a bright smile. “Hm,” Tina responded and narrowed her gaze at her. Amelia creased her brows and stared at her. She had no idea why ‘Hm’ was her response. “You seem quite happy. I wasn’t expecting that,” Tina teased. “What do you mean?” “You are living in James’ house now. I believe that is the worse place you can be.
Amelia was done at the company where the meeting took place and headed to her car. She hadn’t spoken to James since they arrived in Florida. She wasn’t sure if she could head back to Alabama without him. She sat in her car and put a call across to Elena. She couldn’t stop thinking of how to get to her apartment without James knowing. “Hi, Elena.” “Hi, Amelia. How are you doing?” “I’m good. And how are you?” “I guess I’m good too.” “I’m very sorry about last night. I didn’t mean to make you cry.” “C’mon, Elena. It’s not your fault. It’s James’ fault. He is the one that made me cry. Will you be able to visit today?” “I’m not so sure, Elena. I’m in Florida as we speak. I just finished a meeting.” “Florida? Wow. So, you went alone?” “No. Mr. James is in Florida too, but he isn’t with me at the moment. He is in his Casino. I don’t know if I’ll be able to come back to Alabama without him. Even if I do come back, it will be late at night.” “That means you can’t come today, right?
James looked up and sighted Amelia and another man from where he stood. He looked closely and noticed they were closer than usual. ‘Are they kissing?’ He stormed to where they were, his heart was racing like a train, his respiration increased, and he was perspiring heavily. ‘Why would another man take advantage of my wife in an open place like this? In my Casino!’ He got to where they were, he grabbed the young man by the hand and pulled him away from her. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” He asked, and didn’t wait for him to answer before he threw a punch at his face. “Mr. James!” Amelia called in awe. “Don’t you dare call my name! What do you think you are doing? You wrapped your hands around him, like you were enjoying whatever he was doing to you?!” “She didn’t do anything wrong, okay? Who are you anyways?!” The young man answered, cleaning the blood that busted out from the corner of his lips. “I am her f**king husband, and who the hell are you?! Why are you ki
Amelia and James flew back to Alabama in the same airplane, but they totally ignored each other. Amelia tried looking for ways to talk to him, but James wasn’t ready to even look at her. Though Amelia was sad that he was totally ignoring her this time around, Fred was busy texting her over the phone. He said funny things that made her smile and sometimes giggle out loud. James often stole glances of her and saw her smiling while checking her phone. He wondered what or who could make her so happy over the phone. They got to Alabama in less than two hours and they headed straight to the company. They had a lot of work to do. Amelia was glued to her chair for more than three hours, organizing files, preparing documents, organizing and distributing messages from different departments. James on the other hand left for another meeting at his father’s company. It was a meeting Freddie was going to attend too. Amelia was still working when she perceived a familiar scent in the air. She
“What do you mean by she is with you? Your wife is here, she should be with you, not her!” Helen uttered. James smirked and looked at Amelia who had tears gathered in her eyes already. Before he could say anything, Amelia turned to leave and ran out of the house. “Amelia, wait!” Helen called behind her and began to run too. Charles hurried down the stairs after hearing the loud voice of his wife. He got to the living room and saw James in the living room, holding a stranger. He couldn’t find Helen anywhere. “Hey, when did you get here? Why didn’t you call me? And where is your mother? I just heard her voice.” “I don’t know what happened, Dad. She just ran out with Amelia. She will be back soon, don’t worry.” He let go of the woman’s hand and headed back to the couch. “Why is Madison here?” Charles asked, looking at the woman who looked extremely confused with everyone’s reaction, including James. “Her car developed some faults after I left the company, it refused to start. It
Fred got home and carried Amelia out of the car and into the house in a bridal style. He stared at her face until he laid her on the neatly laid bed in his guest room. “Hmm… why is it so hot?…” She moaned and turned on her side. Fred placed her bag on the lamp stand and hurried into the bathroom to get a wet towel for her. He soaked the white towel he kept in the bathroom with water and walked to where she laid again. He made her lay on her back again and began to mop her face carefully with the towel. As he cleaned her body, she smiled widely occasionally. Fred giggled at the slightest reaction she gave. ‘Why is she so cute?’ He was done with her face, and he slowly moved down to her hand. He picked up her right hand and cleaned it. He couldn’t help but gaze at her body. It was so smooth and beautiful. He looked away from her hand and down her leg, he saw a scar on her left leg and furrowed his brows. “What happened to you here?” He asked in a whisper and ran his finger on
