88| Begging her son

Miranda went into the house and saw her son had gone into his bedroom and locked the door.

"Oliver! Open this door!" Miranda carefully banged on her son's room door, but Oliver wasn't pulling the door open or responding to her.

"Oliver, what did I do wrong to you? Why are you avoiding me in this house? Do you see why I do not want you to meet your dad? Only today that you saw him, I have no peace, and now you're behaving like him," Miranda complained, thinking of what to do to lure her son out of his room. She couldn't allow him to starve and worry about him.

Oliver didn't respond, and Miranda told him, "I'm sorry, Oliver. Fine, I'm going to call your dad now for you to speak with him. Are you going to open the door for me?"

The corridor was silent as Miranda stopped speaking. Emily had finished preparing dinner and wondered what was going on between Miranda and Oliver again.

Emily also liked Oliver, as the little boy knew how to get his mother worried.
