44| Kissing her

Miranda had finished up her dinner and also returned to her room to have her bath. She tried not to think about Derrick or his mother and how her day had been hectic with a lot of jealous maids gossiping about her.

Miranda entered her bathroom to have her bath, and after she was done bathing, she heard a knock on her bedroom door, startling her.

"Who's there?" Miranda inquired, but Juliet quickly peeked her head into Miranda's room and informed her, "Miranda, Master Derrick requests that you see him upstairs immediately."

"Why?" Miranda asked, but Juliet quickly responded, "I don't know. He only sent me to call you, and he looked so annoyed. So hurry up."

Juliet left, and Miranda, who had just finished bathing, quickly dried her wet body and wore her milk-colored nightgown. Miranda could have opted to wear pajamas, but she didn't know why Derrick had sent for her either and she couldn't keep him waiting.
