A PHONE CALL

Tina's house was just the way Lulu would have expected it. If she was not in a sad mood, she would have commented on it but she couldn't care less.

"Welcome. Just make yourself feel at home," Tina persuaded.

The house was mostly white and every color was stocked with unopened items.

Tina smiled,"What do you want to do now? What do you want to watch?"

"I'm fine." Lulu said.

"Should I get you water?" Millet offered.

"Don't worry, you both are guests at my house while you are here, so let me do it."

Before Millet could even argue further, Tina had returned with a glass of water.

Lulu buried her face in her palms, thinking about how special the night had felt before all of this.

"How do you feel now?" Tina said with one hand on her shoulder.

"My brother is a jerk. How could he do something so serious? I'm going to talk to my brother."
