Chapter Thirty

Noah's POV

Mom gasped, unable to believe that her daughter was standing up for herself.

"How dare you talk to me like that? What in the Moon goddess' name is going on? What has gotten into my children that they think they can talk to me this way?" Mom choked back a sob and brought out a hankie to wipe her tears.

I could swear I heard Storm snicker but when I looked at her, she had a stoic expression on her face.

"Whatever. Storm, we'll catch up later. I'm really sorry I couldn't stay longer but since I'm still in town, I'll reach out. Bye Noah, take good care of Storm or else." She made a gesture of slicing her throat. She gave Amanda and Mom a glare before leaving the diner. I was too shocked to say anything, this Tasha was so unlike the sister I had grown up with.

Mom cried loudly, drawing the attention back to her. Amanda was hugging her and trying to comfort her. I stood and moved towards her but she stopped me.
