Dexter had never driven in broad daylight without his sunglasses on. It was refreshing not to need anything over his eyes and not be affected. He had missed out on all the simple pleasures due to his rare color blindness. His color blindness is not your typical eye disease. Most people may be familiar with the disease, where you see limited colors. It's the one more common in males. Most people don't know that 1 in 12 men are color blind. The men with my rare case suffer in silence and keep it a secret. What most take for granted, like seeing the morning sun and watching the snowfall, are elements he's seeing for the first time.

To be out today is perfect for grocery shopping. Once they make it to the store, he looks at Taesha's grocery basket, which consists of candy, ice cream, and junk food. On the other hand, Dexter's basket was filled with necessities like; vegetables, finely cut meats, seafood, bread, eggs, pasta, rice, wine, and other commodities. Taesha takes it upon herself t

The two of them couldn't be more opposites. Once inside the cabin, Taesha tossed her bags on the counter and took out a bag of Reese's pieces bite-size candy. She plops down on the sofa tossing a piece of candy into her mouth. "I'm so tired after all that shopping. I like shopping, but boy, you wore me out! I guess I'm still exhausted from last night's catastrophe!" Dexter also set his bags on the island counter and went to the closet to hang his new clothes first. Next, he took and put his black trench coat on the coat rack. When that was done, he put up the groceries he had brought, which were the necessities for both of them. He also put away Taesha's food and junk items that she conveniently left on the counter. She sat there on the sofa and stared at him in amazement. "I'll give you this much. You can't find too many guys like you, all pampered and bougie, but you don't mind working. What kind of work do you do for a living? From looking at your hands, you probably work for so

Taesha didn't come out of the room for the rest of the evening. After Dexter had put the shoes in his closet, hoping to give them to her tonight. He fixed himself something to eat. "Why did I let her put my wine back on the store shelf? I could use something to drink to help me relax. I can be persuasive, charming, firm, stubborn, and prideful. I have even been told I'm an excellent singer and lover. But to scorn a woman or hurt a female intentionally that's not my style. I love and respect my mother too much to mistreat a female intentionally." Yes, Dexter didn't like having Taesha upset with him, and he was very sorry. It indeed was a mistake that he made. Dexter knew he had never met someone like her before. All the girls he's dated, though, only for a month. In this short period, he could tell she was vastly different from any girl he's spent and wasted time dating. Sure she had a temper that lit up like a firecracker at the strike of a match. But it was his fault, and she had

Taesha stepped inside the shower. As the water fell over her body, tears fell too. "This weekend has turned out nothing as I expected. I feel so stressed out, and I'm making all kinds of mistakes." After washing her hair and body, Taesha spent twenty minutes moisturizing her hair with a homemade potion she made for curly hair specifically. "Oh, I know what I can do. I'll make Dexter my special hibiscus saffron wine I promised him earlier. After styling her hair, making sure she looked presentable. Taesha begins getting dressed. She takes a peep out the window at the falling snow. 'Ugh! Now I know why I'm not a big fan of winter. It just won't stop, will it!" She slipped on her fluffy slippers, preparing to enter the living room. The feeling of embarrassment over her behavior entered her thoughts. Thinking about how she acted over a pair of boots made her want to climb back in bed and hide. "I need to go out there and smooth things over with him. It's just a thousand dollars gone

Dexter found himself standing here once again with this free-spirited soul in his arms. Loving how she teased and tormented his emotions—stirring his feelings into a storm wind. Taesha felt something she's never experienced too. It was like a whirlwind happening in her heart of emotions. They gazed into each other's eyes for far too long. Her arms moved up on their fruition around his neck, pulling him closer, making it more pleasant than the act swirling around her imagination. Beneath her arms, she felt the strength of his broad shoulders. She pressed against him with heated persistence. The delicious warmth of an aroused man, needing, wanting, and desiring her. Dexter's heart hammered as he caressed her lips against his, then his tongue slipped fiercely into her mouth. He was consuming her heart, soul, mind, and body. That's what she thought, 'oh, yes, consume me.' When those coherent words surfaced in her brain, he was sucking and tasting, savoring and enticing. Dexter was fall

That's when Dexter replies. "Taesha, I'm smiling because you make me smile. Kissing you and having sex with you, I can tell it would be beyond delightful with you. Probably even magical. I don't know, I've never had magical sex before, but I sense that's how it would be with you from how it feels when we kiss. But let's go on a date first tonight and explore this further. We got to get started somewhere, and I know you are curious about me, and so am I about you." Narrowing her eyes, she said in a coolly natural tone. "I got to eat, anyway." "Exactly, and now that I think about it, your right about the kisses. They are forgotten. They never happened. It was out of order." "Really? Just like that, you can wipe away kissing me?" Taesha asked him, looking at Dexter curiously. "Who sounds conceited now? Hmm..." Dexter says. "Your annoying...." Taesha says, walking to the other side of the island, picking up her plate, filling it with doughnuts and cinnamon rolls, and pouring hersel

Later that afternoon, Dexter put aside the song he had been working on. He looked at the time. It was getting late. His music still needed more work, but it would have to wait until he got more fuel and motivation. He goes and knocks on the bedroom door. Taesha gets up quickly, fixing her messy hair and smoothing it back in place to look presentable."What on earth am I doing?" She takes a deep breath before opening the door. When he lays eyes on her, he has to hold himself back, wanting to take and kiss her senseless again. But he forced himself to show some restraint and act appropriately. But his eyes couldn't help as he canvases her face and body and how she smelled. Her jogging suit hugged that sexy figure and how great her hair looked."Yes, what is it?" Taesha asked, noticing those piercing blue eyes again that felt like he was probing her very being. He tells her. "I'll be back a little later. I need some fresh air.""Alright," Taesha said calmly as if it didn't phase her.Whe

Dexter came around quickly to open Taesha’s door. He was pleasantly surprised to see her patiently waiting for him to unbuckle her seat belt. He smiled inwardly, happy to release her from anything emotionally or physically that might be holding her back. When his soft leather glove touches her hand to help her out of the car, it felt like warm butter. The ‘Cut’ restaurant doesn’t normally offer valet parking for its clients. But Dexter didn’t want to have the snow touch Taesha tonight if he could help it. So he paid for this service to park right in front of the door. She slid her delicate hand around his forearm as they walked inside the restaurant together. Taesha tilted her head slightly upward, looking at this six feet three, lean, handsome man next to her who was a stranger only two days ago. She couldn’t believe things between them had advanced so quickly; two kisses. She unknowingly opened herself to it, and now they are on a date together. Once inside the place, und

Once the waiter sets the food on the table, Taesha inhales, taking in all the aromas that float in the air. The waiter uncorked the red wine that came with the meal. He handed Dexter the cork to sniff and poured a sample into a glass. Dexter, the perfectionist, swirled the contents, held in the goblet, looking for sediment in the crystal, then sniffing and sipping. That's what one would think. He's drinking red wine but has never seen the color of it until now. The wine coated his tongue with the most delightful hints of fruits and Moka. Nodding his acceptance, he requested the lady have a sample of his selection. Taesha followed his lead, taking the wine glass, inhaling, tasting, and nodding lightly."Waiter, can you bring us a blue cheese board with this wine?" "Yes, Madam," He said, pouring them both half-full goblets and leaving.Once again, Dexter was impressed. She took his hand, which surprised him. Dexter saw her lower her head, and he followed suit. She blessed the food. "
