~Lucienne~
“What?!” My response came with multiple blinks. “No!” I immediately yelled out my refusal to strip or do anything related to that. “I'll eat,” I begged softly, trying to swallow the bile in my mouth. “Then do it!” He snapped at me. I reluctantly reached for the tray, my hands trembling as I picked up a piece of bread. Every bite felt like swallowing stones, my throat constricting with each swallow. But I forced myself to eat, knowing that defying Daniel would only lead to more suffering. As I ate, Daniel watched me intently, his eyes never leaving my face. There was a glint of satisfaction in his gaze as if my compliance reaffirmed his control over me. It made my skin crawl, but I pushed aside my disgust and focused on finishing the meal, although I decided to take my precious time doing it. Finally, I set the empty tray aside, feeling a mix of relief and nausea churning in my stomach. Daniel nodded approvingly, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips."Good girl," he said, his voice dripping with condescension. "Now, let's get you cleaned up."“I can do it myself,” I whispered with my eyes glued to the floor but as usual, he was deaf to it. Despite my refusal, Daniel went ahead to grab a cloth and a bowl of water, gesturing for me to stand. As usual, I hesitated but a growl from him made me obey immediately. It was as if the Daniel I knew vanished, and was replaced by this calm fellow. His touch was surprisingly tender as he cleaned the bruises and cuts that marred my skin. Looking deeper, I could sense the simmering anger, the barely contained rage that threatened to boil over at any moment but there was something else in there. Once he had finished cleaning my wounds, Daniel helped me back onto the bed, his expression unreadable, well except for the lustful look he always had on around me.“Ever had a boyfriend?”“Would you let me?” I wanted to retort, but I didn't want another injury to the one I was nursing, so I just shook my head.“Meaning you know nothing about orals?”“Orals?” I inquired, with a furrowed brow. Was that a word or something he just made up? “Such an innocent little mate,” Daniel chuckled, licking his lips as lust took over his eyes. One by one, the button of his shirt became undone. “You do reek of innocence, baby.”With every lusty sentence, I inched away but I was in a prison with an apex predator. Where could I possibly run to with my injured body? With just one hand, he pulled me back to him, causing me to let out a cry of pain. “It hurts,” I winced, but he still didn't let go. What happened to the caring man who cleaned me earlier? “Daniel, please. It hurts,” I begged again. “And how does that affect me, Lucienne?” He asked, his grip on me becoming tighter. “Did I give you permission to leave? With that bastard no less?”“No,” I sobbed, the pain shooting through my whole body. “Answer me loud and clear Lucienne! Answer me with the same boldness you gave me earlier. Did I give you permission to reject me?!”“No!” I half screamed and cried but that wasn't enough. He was still tightening his grip on me. “Look into my eyes, Lucienne.” He ordered. With a tear filled face, I opened my eyes, staring into his stormy dark ones. Whether it was rage, irritation, or lust, I couldn't even tell. They were all flying in there. Before I could react, he landed on me, on my lips to be precise, causing me to recoil like I was given some sort of poison. I sealed my mouth shut despite the knocking of his tongue. While he continued to probe, his grip tightened further again and I winced in return. “Kick him on the balls!” I told myself. “What if he strangled me because of that?” I replied to myself, weighing the pros and cons of whatever I was going to do just to end this battle on my lips. “Well I'd rather die than kiss the bastard,” I affirmed and raised my other leg, aiming it for the space between his legs. A ringing tone caused him to change position, making me miss my target. Luckily, the call ended the kiss so it was a win-win. “You're resisting me,” He commented huskily, finally taking his hands off me. “I'm not done with you,” He added with a little caress on my cheek before looking around to find his phone. I used the opportunity to look around the battered bedroom. There had to be a way of escape here. I had to get away from this mate and also find the man who helped me earlier. Speaking about the man, he couldn't have died, could he? My mind immediately zoned to how I saw him land on the floor. I didn't remember seeing the movement of his chest or anything. Does that mean…“No, no, no,” I shook my head. “Daniel wouldn't do that. It'd mean war.”“But does Daniel care about any of that?” I asked myself again but before I could reply, I was met with Daniel's angry yell. “Hey!” he called and I looked up to meet his gaze. “You really have a way of avoiding all my plans don't you?”“I- I don't know what you're talking about,” I stammered. “Indeed,” He rolled his eyes. “I don't care what plan you or the universe has, but you're mine to devour.” By the time he finished that sentence, he was done wearing his shirt. Then as if he was possessed he tossed me a phone. “You do know how to operate one or do I have to teach you?” he questioned and I just told him I do. “There are some videos on there. I need you to watch and memorize everything you see there. You'd need them to serve your future punishments. I plan on marking at least three, tonight, my dear mate.”“I don't understand,” I mumbled but he didn't hear. A part of me didn't want him to, actually. Especially since the Moon Goddess just provided me with a chance to call for help. "There’s more food in the living area. All you are allowed to do is eat, watch, and rest. You are not to do anything else without my permission Lucienne. Don't make me repeat myself again and don't make me add to your punishments. Your fragile little body might not be able to take ten percent of the things I will dish out.”My reply was a simple nod as he turned to leave the room. “I'll be back in a short while. I don't plan on staying in the arena for long when I have you to warm my third leg."As the main door closed behind him, I let out a shaky breath. The first thing I did was grab the phone hoping to at least call someone for help. Turning it on, I was met with a wickedly smiling emoji and a no sim-card message. “Did you really think I would let you escape? You’re mine, Lucienne! MINE!” The message on the wallpaper read and I threw the phone away in frustration, yelling “WHY!”I knew that escaping from Daniel's clutches would be nearly impossible, but I refused to give up hope. There has to be another way to escape him. I looked at every window in this abandoned house, and although they were wide open, just to allow ventilation, the iron net around them was impossible to break. I resorted to knocking on every wall just to find a weak spot. Somewhere Daniel wouldn't even suspect, but nothing at all. Frustration and fear coursed through me as I realized Daniel had anticipated my every move, leaving me trapped in his clutches with no means of communication with the outside world or way of leaving. Goddess knew how long I spent looking for a means to leave and none of them was fruitful. The rumbling of my stomach and soreness of my bones forced me to fall to the ground, munching on one of the things Daniel supposedly brought, half praying it wasn't poison. I threw my head back in a sigh and that was when I noticed it. There was a gap in the door! If I could get something to push the lock back in, I could unlock the door! Instantly, I sprang up, rummaging through the nylon here for a spoon or knife or anything. I went back to the rooms hoping to see anything made of steel or at least a strong material. When I couldn't find any, I settled for the plastic utensils, and with a prayer on my tongue, I went on my knees and began to push the lock-in. A few minutes and broken plastics later, the door creaked open and I was greeted by fresh air. “Thank the Goddess,” I sighed in relief. I quickly rushed back in to grab a few supplies for myself and then I locked them before leaving. Stepping outside, I was greeted with unfamiliar surroundings. On my left, trees, huge ones. Probably fifty of my height, and they all surrounded the house I just emerged from. I couldn't tell which was the right way to go at this point. Not having an active wolf also made matters worse. With a sigh, I closed my eyes and picked a way to go hoping it'll lead me to somewhere safe at least. I had not taken more than five steps when a voice made me freeze in my steps. "Leaving so soon, Lucienne?”~Lucienne~“I'm talking to you, Lucienne. Where are you headed?” He asked again and I gulped, wondering if I should make a run for it despite my condition or turn around and try to reason with him. Realizing a battered wounded omega like me can't outrun someone so strong, a weak sigh escaped my lips and I turned around to meet him, Gamma Ezekiel, my elder brother. “Is it until you die you realize running away isn't an option for you, sister?” Ezekiel's usual question came and as usual, I didn't give him a response. “You know what, today, I won't stop you from leaving. But if you want to die, at least make it a good one, not a death from angry uncontrollable rogues who want revenge. The pack's satisfaction would be missing if that happens.”“Then kill me already,” I rolled my eyes, sick of hearing the same thing over and over again. If they wanted to punish me, they should do it. Living with the consequences of what happened was enough torture already. “The decision is not in my hand
~Lucienne~Screams, bubbles, fear of losing another family member and many more surrounded me as I struggled for air deep down inside the waters. I kicked my legs, tried to hold my breath, and did everything I could think of but the invisible boulder only pushed me further down into the water, depriving my lungs of air and me, the chance to see if my brother made it out of that rogue ambush, alive. “It's all my fault,” I thought to myself as I slowly lost the strength to fight, causing me to surrender. “If I had just quietly gone back, Ezekiel wouldn't have taken me to the border. If I had gone back in, he wouldn't have cut me and the rogues wouldn't have traced my blood. It's all my fault. And now because of me, another wolf or more would die…”A sharp pain from somewhere on my neck forced me to jolt awake, my eyes and mouth opened widely as I gasped for breath and poured a ton of water from my insides while I placed my hand on the tingling area. It was all blurry at first, but my v
~Lucienne~“No,” I mumbled, as the nurse's words sank in. I found myself taking a step back due to the shock I was feeling and the constant zapping of the mate mark. The man Daniel had ambushed, the one I had come to see, was gone. I stood frozen in place, my mind struggling to comprehend the reality of the situation. Guilt gnawed at my insides, knowing that his death was partly my fault. Partly? It was fully my fault. I could have refused to go with him, and maybe he would've lived to see another day but because of my selfishness, another life was taken.Overwhelming sadness washed over me, mingling with the pain of my own injuries and the burden of my guilt. Tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to spill over, but I blinked them back.I nodded numbly, thanking her for the information before turning away from the door. Ezekiel, who must have heard it all, watched me with concern as I returned to his side, his eyes holding all the words he could ever say. “Stop trying to run!”Witho
~Lucienne~“And so?” Came Daniel's reply that sent my jaw falling to the ground. Did he just say 'and so?' After killing a living being?“You really need to cut your pride, Prince. Meet me or I'll send the video to your father. Or maybe to the whole pack,” the automated voice replied and Daniel let out a grunt.“Location?”“I'll send it to you when you begin the journey. See you soon, Prince,” the voice said and hung up. I expected Daniel to curse, yell, or get furious but instead he laughed, a laugh I hadn't seen in a long time and I guess I now knew what it meant.“Like I said Lucienne, the plan of you and the universe will crumble. I will have you, no matter what. But for now, I have to go teach a mouse a lesson,” he chuckled and grabbed his shirt before snapping the key from my trembling hands.“Watch the videos to the end Hun, I'd need a blow job once I'm back,” he whispered to my frozen self before heading out and immediately the door locked, I fell to the ground, tears pouring d
~Lucienne~“Not that,” I mumbled, my body unconsciously taking a step back as I zoned out. There I was, surrounded by the bodies, the fire, the screams, the tears and blood on the faces of those around me, my calls for my family. Everything came rushing back and I could feel every inch of my body tremble. “Stop,” I heard myself shout, closing my ears to drown out the sound of agony but they were coming in full force. My legs were weak but they refused to crumble because I was in a pool of blood, the blood of my people, of my Father's pack, my former pack. “Lucienne!” Daniel's voice and a zap of the mate mark snapped me out of the past and I found myself mute, unable to hear his questions or answer them. Almost immediately, I was back at the scene and it was just me, standing in a pool of blood, hearing the cries of men and children, asking why I did it, asking why I took their happy life from them. Even my parents on their death bed looked at me and asked the same question but all I
~Lucienne~As I watched the crimson beads trickle down my arms, I looked back at the broken piece of the mirror, a lovely and contented smile gracing my lips while a strange sense of calm washed over me, numbing the pain and filling me with a quiet resolve. With each cut, I felt the weight of my suffering begin to lift as if I were shedding layers of my old self along with the blood that stained my skin. But just as I started to feel the pull of unconsciousness tugging at the edges of my mind, a sharp rap at the bathroom door shattered the fragile peace I had found.“Lucienne, open this door right now!” Daniel's voice was filled with fury, echoing off the tiled walls of the small bathroom.Ignoring his demands, I pressed the shard of glass deeper into my flesh, willing myself to bleed faster, to escape this nightmare once and for all. But the pain was a cruel reminder that I was still very much alive, trapped in a body that seemed determined to cling to life no matter how much I begge
~Daniel~First ring, second ring, third ring, I still didn't pick up the damn phone. No one threatens me! No one at all! So I wouldn't give an obsessed fucker the joy of seeing me scared. If he wants her, he should face me like a real man. “Prince, it's ready,” The voice of the earlier nurse snapped me out of my thoughts and I simply nodded before standing. Just immediately, I heard a moan, from Lucienne no doubt, causing me to turn around. Whether she was having a nightmare, I didn't care but I wanted her out of whatever it was and here, with me. The second she opened her eyes, I removed the oxygen mask from her face and then gave her the hardest slap I could muster at that point. The shock and fear in her eyes filled me with more than enough joy. “What were you thinking trying to kill yourself?” I barked, not caring about the tears building in her eyes! “I need answers.”“Nothing?” I asked after a few seconds of silence then nodded. “ Come in here,” I ordered the nurse and she d
~Lucienne~Daniel locked me in and then rushed out like he was being chased. Not like I cared but he could at least help me out of the handcuffs. “So you'd kill yourself again, yeah right,” my internal voice, the one I created to act like my wolf voiced out in my subconscious. “Well I need to set myself free,” I mumbled, then struggled to get off my feet. I knew he took the keys but there had to be other ways to unlock the cuffs. I glanced around the dimly lit room, searching desperately for anything that could help me escape these cursed handcuffs. My eyes landed on a small table in the corner, where a rusty old knife lay discarded. With a glimmer of hope, I limped over and picked it up, ignoring the pain shooting through my wounded leg."Maybe this will do the trick," I muttered to myself, clutching the knife tightly in my hand. With trembling fingers, I tried to maneuver the blade into the small crevice of the handcuff, hoping to pry it open. But no matter how hard I pushed and
~Lucienne~Olivia's words sent a shiver down my spine, her anger still simmering beneath the surface despite her attempt at an apology. I forced a tight smile, trying to brush off her threat as if it were nothing more than empty words even though I knew they weren't. Killian stepped forward, breaking the handshake. "Alright, Olivia. "You held your own against Olivia. Not an easy feat. She keeps acting like she's the boss. Good to see someone finally clap back for on
