~Lucienne~
"You should have died with them!" The loudest voice of the angry mob surrounding me, who was kneeling on the ground, panting heavily and crying filled my ears.
"Get rid of this wretched girl! We don't want such bad luck in our pack! Kill her!" The frenzied crowd unleashed their fury upon me, attacking me with words, rotten fruits, dirty slippers, and everything they could lay their hands on.
Due to the impact of everything on my already tired body, my eyes were shut throughout this ordeal as I remembered how I begged the boss not to let me do this, not to let me be involved in this, but she forced me to, and look at where I am now, getting beaten and being punished for something I didn't know anything about. I even tried to open my mouth to say something- a plea for understanding, but a bitter juice from something stale that they stuffed into my mouth, landed on my tongue causing me to blink multiply as I twitched my face in disgust.
The second my brain registered it, I immediately spat it out, trying to cleanse my palette of the bitter taste.
"Stop!" A familiar authority-filled male voice filled the clearing and they stopped, and I could feel a bit of light on my skin, all because the pack members parted ways for him to pass through.
"What's going on here?"
"Crown Prince," they all greeted with a bow before someone spoke up.
"This wretched girl spoiled the preparations for the yearly event tomorrow. Everything is in ruins! The food, the furniture, the packages, everything!"
"I didn't do it," I immediately coughed out despite my tears and burning tongue, each word coming out after a labored and painful breath.
A painful hit landed on my cheek, sending me side-first to the ground, my cheeks brushing the uneven soil.
"You dare lie?! We have proof, your highness! Someone saw her do it."
"Really?" I heard Daniel, the crown Prince and soon-to-be Alpha question, clearly intrigued and they brought out the so-called witness.
"Crown Prince Daniel. I was cleaning the area and wanted some water to clench my thirst when I saw her speaking to herself like a mad woman so I decided to see what she was up to. She was complaining about how badly the whole pack treated her because of what happened back then. She then decided to get her revenge on us by ruining the annual event. I tried to stop her but she was just too powerful for a lower class omega like me and ended up doing… doing this," she finally ended and I forced myself to look up to see her stretch her hands out to Daniel, her hand bandaged like she was attacked by a rogue wolf.
With the last bit of strength in me, I carried myself to a kneeling position. "I swear on my life. I didn't do it."
"Oh Lucienne, it's your word, against the pack’s. And if you claimed not to do it, who did? Me? My parents? The guards? Or the ones who suffered for months to plan the event?" Daniel questioned, and the pack members around just hissed, throwing more infuriating words to fuel his anger.
"Believe me, please," I begged.
"After what you did to your former pack? Impossible!" He scoffed and crouched to my level, his eyes which were supposed to hold love and care for me as his mate, now holding so much hatred and contempt. "How many punishments do you have pending, Lucienne?”
Immediately the word punishment left his ears, I turned hot, my tongue went numb, my throat became dry, my hands trembled and very became sweaty.
"Answer me!" He demanded and I flinched, my gaze now directed to the ground.
"S-seventeen," I stammered, my tears and liquid from the different things hurdled at me mixing and landing on the soil.
"So this makes it eighteen?” he asked and I forced myself to nod.
"You all can leave. I'll send some men to join you in fixing the arena. I'll deal with this." He said through clenched teeth and the whole crowd dispersed then he turned to me before giving his first order.
"Lucienne, your kneels must not leave the ground till we get to our destination."
With a painful sigh, I knew my punishment had begun so I wiped my tears and began to move, the skin on my knees, grazing against the rough ground as I followed Daniel. The air was heavy with tension, and my heart raced with fear and uncertainty as I wondered how these eighteen punishments would be carried out because this crawling was definitely not part of them. As Daniel would call it, it was just a teaser.
I could feel stones scratching my skin, broken glass on the road piercing my legs but I didn't dare make a sound or defy his orders.
As we walked through the rough pack land, I looked ahead, hoping to see somewhere so I could figure out where he was taking me and how long I had to bear this torture, but no, we were heading to a part of the pack I wasn't familiar with. But one thing was certain, lights and music were playing in the distance and where there was music, there were men, and where there were men, there were drinks and where there were drinks, there were bottles which meant more glass shards to crawl on.
Finally, we arrived at a car park, and I sighed in relief thinking this would end already but just as I was about to stand, he turned to me with that same cold expression.
"Don't you dare!” He snapped and I fell to the ground immediately.
“Do you want me to triple the punishment, mate?” He asked as he entered the car and I merely shook my head. “Better. Now, follow me and by the time I get there, I must not wait for you! You have five minutes. Remember, your knees mustn't leave the ground" He ordered, then slammed the door in my face, before starting the engine and zooming off.
I already had my punishment doubled one time, so never again. With clenched teeth, I pushed my tears to the back, forcing myself to continue moving fast too. Bleeding my legs out was much better than tripling my punishment
My legs became sore from this punishment even though it was not actually considered a punishment in Daniel's eyes. I eventually came to a stop outside a neon-lit club, pulsating with music and laughter.
"Four minutes, fifty-eight seconds. Good job, Lucienne. I thought I would have to send some men to bundle you here and then hit you before we start your punishment," he chuckled darkly before ordering me to stand but my wobbly legs made it almost impossible to.
The atmosphere was suffocating as Daniel led me through the crowd. He seemed to know his way around, navigating effortlessly toward a VIP section. As we approached, I noticed two figures waiting there, two sheep turned into wolves because of what happened back then. Ezekiel and Steven, my elder brothers.
Once again eyes always filled with love and admiration now bore into mine, filled with disdain and anger. Ezekiel, the older of the two, spoke first. "Oh sister, what on earth have you done now?"
"Once you know, you'd want to break her bones," Daniel chuckled then ordered some drinks before sitting and I followed him like a dog on a leash. The bartender brought the drinks and Daniel narrated what he witnessed earlier from beginning to the end causing Ezekiel and Steven to exchange glances, with their expressions hardening.
"So, what do you propose, Daniel?" Ezekiel asked, his tone dripping with malice.
Daniel's lips curled into a sinister smile. "I don't know yet. Was hoping you guys would have ideas on what punishment to give today," Daniel calmly said and they began to brainstorm ideas. Public beating was out of it because I had gone through that before, the same goes for eating a big bucket of raw peppers, cleaning the filthiest places your mind could think of, and even more.
I stood at the sidelines, praying whatever they picked would be at least something I could handle because, at that point, all those kneeling, crawling, beating, and bleeding made me very sore. To stand was even torture at this point.
"I think I have a plan to ensure Lucienne pays for her actions and learns her lesson." Daniel immediately announced and my brothers leaned closer.
They both listened intently as he outlined a plan that I couldn't hear, causing me to immediately have goosebumps as I saw their lips curl into very wicked smiles.
Ezekiel and Steven, fueled by their resentment towards me, agreed eagerly.
Before I could try to imagine whatever it was they just agreed on, Daniel spoke directly to me, his voice cold and calculating. "Lucienne, you brought this upon yourself." He sang then Steven left, before returning with a nylon bag in his hands.
Daniel ordered him to open it up and he did, revealing the tiniest, most see-through, ripped gown I had ever seen in all my years of existence.
"You'll wear this," Daniel sneered, holding up the outfit that made my stomach churn. "As for your first punishment, you, my dear mate would strip."
Lucienne's POV“Strip?” My brothers and I asked in shock. “Please no,” Ezekiel said something before I could. “I'm not interested in seeing the nakedness of a murderer. She's your mate, she can strip for you in private but not for us,” Ezekiel chuckled like he had some decency in him but I was a bit grateful for his words. I could only pray Daniel would agree. I couldn't bring myself to strip in front of so many people.“You have a point there,” Daniel smiled, before throwing the dress at me. “You'd strip for me later as the second half of this punishment. For the first half, you're going to dance for us, seductively.”I felt a mixture of shame, anger, and helplessness. Me? Wear that? How was I even going to fit into that tiny fabric which seemed like it was going to rip with just one move? Then do a seductive dance?Everyone seemed to like this new plan and with a clap of Ezekiel's hand, a lady dressed in a similar outfit appeared. With a few orders whispered into her ears, she dragg
~Lucienne~"With me," the stranger replied before I could and Daniel hissed before whipping his head back to see who responded to his question. He eyed the man, sizing him up before replying. "I don't think so.""With all due respect Crown Prince Daniel, you have no say in this. You already gave her to me as compensation, it was witnessed by a lot of people.""I don't remember doing that!" Daniel retorted in a loud tone almost immediately and that caused people to gather so they could watch what was going on.I saw the corner of the stranger's lips form a smile and a man walked forward with a tablet in his arms. Showing it to me and Daniel, it seemed to be the footage of me running away, red in embarrassment then Daniel and my brothers happily giving me to him without any conditions attached."So you see, you have no reason to stop me from taking her. Now if you would please step aside," The stranger said and for the first time in history, I saw someone shut Daniel up.Daniel didn't w
~Lucienne~I whipped my head to the back, to see who was holding the huge log of wood used to hit him."Did you really think you could run from me, Lucienne?" His cruel voice filled my ears again and I unconsciously began to tremble.“Daniel?”“Yes, mate. It's me. Your one and only!” He chuckled, placing the log of wood on his shoulder now. “Did this fucker think he could take you from me?” He scoffed, looking at the man's unconscious body, lying just in between the driver and me. “Anyways he's learned his lesson and now, over to you. What did you want to do? To leave me? Your one and only fated mate?” “N-no,” I stammered, trying to move away but my legs were practically paralyzed due to the accident so they refused to move.“No? But you clearly told my father you wanted to be with him. Now tell me, Lucienne, is that how much you despise me?”Although the answer was pretty clear, I despised him very, very much but I dare not say that.“Answer me, Lucienne!” He demanded, and I flinche
~Lucienne~“What?!” My response came with multiple blinks. “No!” I immediately yelled out my refusal to strip or do anything related to that. “I'll eat,” I begged softly, trying to swallow the bile in my mouth. “Then do it!” He snapped at me. I reluctantly reached for the tray, my hands trembling as I picked up a piece of bread. Every bite felt like swallowing stones, my throat constricting with each swallow. But I forced myself to eat, knowing that defying Daniel would only lead to more suffering. As I ate, Daniel watched me intently, his eyes never leaving my face. There was a glint of satisfaction in his gaze as if my compliance reaffirmed his control over me. It made my skin crawl, but I pushed aside my disgust and focused on finishing the meal, although I decided to take my precious time doing it. Finally, I set the empty tray aside, feeling a mix of relief and nausea churning in my stomach. Daniel nodded approvingly, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips."Good girl," he s
~Lucienne~“I'm talking to you, Lucienne. Where are you headed?” He asked again and I gulped, wondering if I should make a run for it despite my condition or turn around and try to reason with him. Realizing a battered wounded omega like me can't outrun someone so strong, a weak sigh escaped my lips and I turned around to meet him, Gamma Ezekiel, my elder brother. “Is it until you die you realize running away isn't an option for you, sister?” Ezekiel's usual question came and as usual, I didn't give him a response. “You know what, today, I won't stop you from leaving. But if you want to die, at least make it a good one, not a death from angry uncontrollable rogues who want revenge. The pack's satisfaction would be missing if that happens.”“Then kill me already,” I rolled my eyes, sick of hearing the same thing over and over again. If they wanted to punish me, they should do it. Living with the consequences of what happened was enough torture already. “The decision is not in my hand
~Lucienne~Screams, bubbles, fear of losing another family member and many more surrounded me as I struggled for air deep down inside the waters. I kicked my legs, tried to hold my breath, and did everything I could think of but the invisible boulder only pushed me further down into the water, depriving my lungs of air and me, the chance to see if my brother made it out of that rogue ambush, alive. “It's all my fault,” I thought to myself as I slowly lost the strength to fight, causing me to surrender. “If I had just quietly gone back, Ezekiel wouldn't have taken me to the border. If I had gone back in, he wouldn't have cut me and the rogues wouldn't have traced my blood. It's all my fault. And now because of me, another wolf or more would die…”A sharp pain from somewhere on my neck forced me to jolt awake, my eyes and mouth opened widely as I gasped for breath and poured a ton of water from my insides while I placed my hand on the tingling area. It was all blurry at first, but my v
~Lucienne~“No,” I mumbled, as the nurse's words sank in. I found myself taking a step back due to the shock I was feeling and the constant zapping of the mate mark. The man Daniel had ambushed, the one I had come to see, was gone. I stood frozen in place, my mind struggling to comprehend the reality of the situation. Guilt gnawed at my insides, knowing that his death was partly my fault. Partly? It was fully my fault. I could have refused to go with him, and maybe he would've lived to see another day but because of my selfishness, another life was taken.Overwhelming sadness washed over me, mingling with the pain of my own injuries and the burden of my guilt. Tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to spill over, but I blinked them back.I nodded numbly, thanking her for the information before turning away from the door. Ezekiel, who must have heard it all, watched me with concern as I returned to his side, his eyes holding all the words he could ever say. “Stop trying to run!”Witho
~Lucienne~“And so?” Came Daniel's reply that sent my jaw falling to the ground. Did he just say 'and so?' After killing a living being?“You really need to cut your pride, Prince. Meet me or I'll send the video to your father. Or maybe to the whole pack,” the automated voice replied and Daniel let out a grunt.“Location?”“I'll send it to you when you begin the journey. See you soon, Prince,” the voice said and hung up. I expected Daniel to curse, yell, or get furious but instead he laughed, a laugh I hadn't seen in a long time and I guess I now knew what it meant.“Like I said Lucienne, the plan of you and the universe will crumble. I will have you, no matter what. But for now, I have to go teach a mouse a lesson,” he chuckled and grabbed his shirt before snapping the key from my trembling hands.“Watch the videos to the end Hun, I'd need a blow job once I'm back,” he whispered to my frozen self before heading out and immediately the door locked, I fell to the ground, tears pouring d
~Lucienne~Olivia's words sent a shiver down my spine, her anger still simmering beneath the surface despite her attempt at an apology. I forced a tight smile, trying to brush off her threat as if it were nothing more than empty words even though I knew they weren't. Killian stepped forward, breaking the handshake. "Alright, Olivia. "You held your own against Olivia. Not an easy feat. She keeps acting like she's the boss. Good to see someone finally clap back for on
