CECILIA'S POV.

The night was cold, the air was thick with moisture as the rain poured continuously from the sky.

It wasn’t a gentle drizzle at all, it was harsh, a steady downpour that soaked through the cloak I was putting on and also made every step heavier than the last.

The scent of damp earth filled my nose, mingling with the distant scent of leaves.

I had started this journey before the rain began, before the whole place hit dark

Right now, The thick canopy of trees provided little shelter, as they were not enough to shield me from the heavy rain.

The water slipped through the leaves, dripping onto my hood. It didn’t matter right now, Nothing mattered except my destination.

Damon, he had been failing me, over and over again, and I had had enough. This was not a meeting of mere discussion.

This was a warning. If he couldn’t do the one thing I needed him to do, then he had no use to me.

If Damon hadn't failed to take James out multiple times, James wouldn't have stood ther

JAMES’ POV I was woken by the sounds of birds chirping outside, probably from a nearby tree. My body was stiff and sore, probably from all the stress in the last few days. I glanced around the room, it was dark, save for the faint light seeing through the curtains, which was how I knew it was already dawn. My breathing was heavy, my mind was occupied, replaying all that had been happening for the past few days, starting from the ambush whir on my way back to the pack house. The second was that while returning from the river together with Auren and Lydia, I wondered what would have happened if I wasn't there. Both of these incidents had nearly cost me my life. There was something I realized, these two attacks, both seemed to be aimed at me. Actually, the second attack seemed like it was aimed towards Auren. However, If I looked closely, it seems the rogue wives had been following me , tracking me and it seems Auren and Lydia had just been unfortunate to be there at t

LYDIA'S POV. The wind blew gently as I sat at the top of a large rock, my arms wrapped around my knees. I glanced up to the sky and could see that the sun was already setting and it painted the sky in shades of gold and purple, casting long shadows across the pack grounds. It was a beautiful evening, though everything looked peaceful on the surface my heart was restless. No matter how much I tried to reduce my thinking level, I still found myself drifting far in my thoughts. Ofcourse It was something I couldn't help, there were too many things to worry about, too many troubles lurking around every corner that made me restless. A mile crossed my lips as my eyes traveled down below, towards the training ground which was alive, full of laughter and energy. There were children down there, running in circles, their small bodies moving with endless excitement. Some of the older ones were showing off, flipping through the air, landing with grace that came naturally to young werewolves.

JAMES’ POV The festival was drawing closer, faster than I had thought it would. Alpha Ezekiel and Kailey were yet to be back and it baffles me why. I know probably they must have a lot of work wherever they are right now, but then I had hoped they came back before the festival. Handling the meetings In place of Ezekiel hasn't been an easy task for me, the elders most of them weren't ready to listen to me, they rather listen to Cecilia while others wheaton my side. However, due to the rumors Cecilia was still spreading, they insisted I present Auren to them,I had no idea what they wanted to do with him, but I had refused. I promised Ezekiel that I would look after his kid and that was exactly what I would do. I would protect him with everything in me. Speaking of Auren, it was morning and another day for him to come for his morning training. Auren was a strong kid and with just the few training sessions I have conducted for him,I could already see changes, he was growing stronger.

JAMES’ POV. The sun shined down on the training grounds, casting long shadows across the dirt-covered field. Today, I had decided to add some other young wolves to the training. Of Course this was a request from Auren and I had decided to do so. Some of these little boys were his friends and he wanted to train with them. I saw no big deal with it and decided to train them together. The sounds of sparring filled the air, grunts of effort, the sharp smack of fists hitting training dummies, and the occasional yelp of pain. The children trained hard, their sweat mixing with the dust beneath their feet.I stood at the edge of the grounds, arms crossed as I observed them all. Auren was smaller than most of the others, however, what lacks in size, he made up for in determination, his small fists struck the wooden dummy in front of him, his expression was one of pure concentration. Actually I have known Auren for this.he was very determined and when he trained, he always put in his all.

Ezekiel's pov. The candle light, positioned at the very end of the room flickered softly, casting a golden glow over the room. The air was warm and accommodating, a warm smile plastered on my face as I stared at kailey, She sat cross-legged on the bed, her long hair draping over one of her shoulders, a small smile played on her lips as she laughed at something I had said a moment ago. The sound of her soft giggles were like a soothing balm to me, healing my wounds and washing away the tension I had carried for days. Ofcourse, I wasn't the only one having this tension, Kailey had also been worried for days, worried about Auren’s well-being, who wouldn't?.With Cecilia back home in the pack it was just so difficult not to worry. Although I know she was in the cell, she was still unpredictable and all I can do right now is trust that James was doing a good job in protecting Auren and running the pack in my absence.I flexed the muscles on my arms as I leaned against the wooden dresse

James’ POV. It still baffles me why the elders had decided to come for a meeting, I didn't call for any meeting, which was why I couldn't shake my mind off the feeling that whatever the elders were coming to say was good. It was a rare occurrence for the pack elders to just show up out of the blue for a meeting, they must have been called by someone, and right now the only person I could think of who could possibly be behind this was none other than Cecilia. The conference room had already been tidied a while ago following my command. In no time the elders arrived as they walked their way into the conference room, I glanced at their r faces, trying to read their expressions but in the end I got nothing out of it. The heavy oak doors of the conference room shut with a dull thud, sealing in the thick air of tension on the room. The long, polished conference table stretched out before me, packed with the elders who were now already seated on either side of the table. The scent of

Ezekiel's pov. Morning came quickly, Kailey and I were already out,on our way. The morning air was crisp as we rode through the open fields. The sun was rising, as its golden light spilled over the horizon. As we rode, the scent of damp earth and fresh grass filled my lungs. It was a familiar comfort after so many nights of staying far away from home. I could tell kailey just couldn't wait to get back to the pack house and so did I. My horse moved steadily beneath me, its hooves pressed into the soft soil in a rhythmic flow. Beside me, Kailey sat tall on another horse, a wide smile on her face as she talked endlessly about Auren. Of Course she has been talking about the pack house, about Auren since the beginning of the journey. I could tell that she wasn't just happy because she wanted to meet Auren, she was happy because she was returning to the pack. Her excitement was infectious, and I found myself chuckling at the way her eyes lit up with every word.“I can already imagine h

Kailey’s POV. It felt like a dream to me, the atmosphere in this part of the forest was totally different from the way it had been when I was coming to this place. I could feel my heart beating in my chest, what was this?, what was really happening?. The whole place ahead changed totally, and the pathway which we had taken a few minutes ago had totally disappeared, leaving us in a state of confusion. I glanced at Ezekiel and could also see it on his face, he was confused, angry and I could see fear in his eyes. Who wouldn't be scared by this? Right now, The afternoon sun hung high above us, but its warmth never reached the forest floor due to fog around and also due to the constant drop in temperature of this place. “This isn't right,” Ezekiel murmured. He had his eyes fixed to a spot, I had no idea why, I had no idea what was going through his mind at this minute. However, it wasn't right anyway as he had said, he wasn't wrong at all, the air in this place though the temperatu

James pov The conference room was just a stone's throw from where I was right now, I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing, I couldn't really trust that rogue. However.I had listened to his heartbeat at the time, there was no way he could have lied to me.If Auren was taken to the conference room, then there must be a reason for that. Why was Cecilia doing this?.I had known her to be heartless but not to ti's degree, I have been doubting and forcing myself not to believe that Cecilia was behind all of this, but with the confession of the rogue, I didn't know what to think anymore. A serpent like Cecilia has been living in the pack house all this while. I shook my head as I began to jog through the hallway. The place was silent except for the sound of my boots connecting to the dry ground. My senses were at alert, and my eyes were watchful, I needed to be ready for anything. Right now my wounds had completely healed and I was back to my best, though not totally, it was all I

LYDIA'S POV. It had been aWhile since I Was in the store room, I sag with my let's curled up in a corner, my knees pressed to my chest with my arms wrapped around them. My heart pounded in my chest so hard it echoed in my ears. The thick silence inside the room was only broken by the distant sounds of battle, the clash of swords, growls, and screams. Smoke drifted in through the cracks of the wooden door, making it hard to breathe.Jon had told me to stay put. “Don’t come out until I return. Promise me, Lydia.” His voice had been firm but gentle. I had nodded, and he had rushed out, returning back to the battlefield. That was... a while ago and right now I was beginning to get worried, I had no idea what was happening to Auren and James. I just couldn't stay here any more. I didn’t know how long I had been hiding, but it felt like forever at this point. Every second stretched like an hour. My hands were shaking. I wanted to believe Jon was still out there, alive, and would com

James pov. With the few rogues I had encountered here inside the pack house, I was already convinced that they had gotten their way somehow. It was obvious there must have been an inside man, someone who had given them access into the pack house. Come to think of it, the rogues wouldn't dare attack the pack if they were not confident about the outcome. Someone was pulling the strings. I shook my head, holding my sword in my right hand. This was not the time to put my sword inside its sheath as there might be dangers lurking around the corners.Right now the wounds on my body had completely healed, however, the blood stains still remained on my cloak, a reminder of the battle I had been involved in a few minutes ago. The two who had taken Auren, they had come through this part of the pack house, I frowned, halting as I took on my surroundings. There was no one around, the whole place was totally silent, it was just like a graveyard, except for the loud screened from outside and

Lydia's pov. The battle continued as the loud sounds of howls and metal clanging filled the air. I pressed my hands against my ears, trying to block it out, but it was no use at this point. The pack house was shaking. The screams of warriors, the growls of rogues, and the crashing of bodies against walls was everywhere.“Move! Lydia, stay close!” Jon shouted, grabbing my hand and pulling me through the corridor.Jon was one of the best warriors in the pack, always calm, always sharp and James had ordered him earlier to get me to safety. Another warrior followed behind us, tall and strong, but I didn’t know his name. His face was set, eyes darting back and forth like he expected an attack any second.“I’m scared,” I whispered as we ran.“I know,” Jon said, his voice steady. “But I won’t let anything happen to you.” We turned a corner, and my heart dropped. Part of the hallway was on fire, smoke curling into the air.“They’re everywhere,” the second warrior muttered. “We need to g

Cecilia's pov. My heart raced, toes curled as I laid stretched out on the bed, both of my legs stayed handing in the air as all I felt at that point was pleasure, extreme pleasure.Damon continued moving back and forth, plowing into me with so much energy and I just couldn't hold back the moans which escaped my lips from time to time. I squeezed my legs, wrapping them against his wait and pulling him more into me as I reached my climax. My whole body spasm and in that moment, I also felt his rod twitching inside of me, in no time I could feel him filling me up from the inside. After that, Damon collapsed on me for a few moments before rolling off, we both laid back on the bed panting and trying to catch our breath.I can't believe I had given myself to him again, how could I do that? How could I let a rogue have so much power over me?. How could I let him have his way with me right here In the pack house?. Of Course I knew this as a disrespect to Ezekiel, I still had no regrets, a

James pov As I stood on my feet, eyes locked on the rogue in front of me, I had confirmed his strength already and I knew this wasn't going to be an easy fight at all. If I wanted to win this, I would have to be serious with this. “Come on” the rogue muttered, cracking his knuckles. And cracking his neck. At this point I could hear my own breathing, rough, ragged, loud in my ears. The hallway was quiet, but only for a second. Dust floated in the air. Blood stained the walls, Of Course it was clear it was from the little fight we had. Some of those blood were mine and the rest of his. He stood at the far end, chest rising and falling steadily. Right now, His claws were out, long and black, tipped with blood. He was grinning, enjoying this. I on the other hand was tired, sore, and bleeding, but I still had my sword. However, my wounds were already healing. “You don’t look so good, Beta,” he said, taking a slow step forward.“You talk too much,” I answered, lifting my blade. We

A large frown appeared on my face as I inched deeper into the hallway. The pack soldiers had held their ground well, fending off the never ending wave of rogues, so how then were those two able to get into the pack house?.Seeing those two earlier only confirmed my fear, there were more of them inside the pack house, and these few must have not been in the sea of rogues who attacked the pack house. They must have snuck in through a secret passageway, there was no way they had done this themselves, it was clear that they had help from someone, someone inside the pack house. I gritted my teeth, my eyes sharp as I took in my surroundings. I wonder who it was, the one who had aided the rogues.Suddenly my mind went to Cecilia, I haven't heard or seen her since the beginning of the battle, where the hell has she been. Oh I just hope She has no hand in thisI

JAMES’ POV. My wounds were completely healed and free from the poison, thanks to the Antidote, I was already back to full strength. My mind was still occupied with the thought of whether Auren was alright or not, it pained me so much that he was taken right in front of me, while I wasn't looking. I felt a tug in my heart as I advanced further, I had tried so hard not to show the pain I felt in front of Lydia, assuring her that I would find Auren, I was certain he was still inside the pack house, that was the hope I was holding on to. I knew something was wrong the moment I stepped into the hallway. The air felt off, too still, too quiet.Even with the fighting outside, the whole place was still very much silent which was off. The pack house was never silent, especially not with the fighting happening outside. My boots thudded lightly on the polished wooden floor as I moved deeper inside, every sense alert at this point. Whoever took Auren must have not gone far. Suddenly, I hear

Kailey’s POV.I stood there captivated by the blood red flowers, they seemed unreal, scary and mysterious. Their red color reminded me of something.Blood. I continued walking, taking more steps and as I did, more and more flowers appeared in the groove. The scent in the air was more on this side, a sweet tang which also had a sweet taste to it, I wasn't sure how but somehow I could taste the sweetness in the air. What are these?. I couldn't help but wonder what the flowers were, the forest had shown me a lot of supernatural things which were white right now I was fully on my guard, I wouldn't let my guard down for now reason.Suddenly there was a whistle in the air, I paused, trying to figure out where the whistling was coming from but it felt like it was everywhere. My heart slowly began to pound in my chest, I took a deep breath and tried to focus on where the sound was coming from.My eyes widened as I noticed that the whistling was coming from the flowers, the blood red flowers
