JAMES’ POV I was woken by the sounds of birds chirping outside, probably from a nearby tree. My body was stiff and sore, probably from all the stress in the last few days. I glanced around the room, it was dark, save for the faint light seeing through the curtains, which was how I knew it was already dawn. My breathing was heavy, my mind was occupied, replaying all that had been happening for the past few days, starting from the ambush whir on my way back to the pack house. LYDIA'S POV. The wind blew gently as I sat at the top of a large rock, my arms wrapped around my knees. I glanced up to the sky and could see that the sun was already setting and it painted the sky in shades of gold and purple, casting long shadows across the pack grounds.It was a beautiful evening, though everything looked peaceful on the surface my heart was restless. No matter how much I tried to reduce my thinking level, I still found myself drifting far in my thoughts. Ofcourse It was something I couldn't help, there were too many things to worry about, too many troubles lurking around every corner that made me restless. A mile crossed my lips as my eyes traveled down below, towards the training ground which was alive, full of laughter and energy. There were children down there, running in circles, their small bodies moving with endless excitement. Some of the older ones were showing off, flipping through the air, landing with grace that came naturally to young werewolves.

JAMES’ POV The festival was drawing closer, faster than I had thought it would. Alpha Ezekiel and Kailey were yet to be back and it baffles me why. I know probably they must have a lot of work wherever they are right now, but then I had hoped they came back before the festival. Handling the meetings In place of Ezekiel hasn't been an easy task for me, the elders most of them weren't ready to listen to me, they rather listen to Cecilia while others wheaton my side.However, due to the rumors Cecilia was still spreading, they insisted I present Auren to them,I had no idea what they wanted to do with him, but I had refused. JAMES’ POV. The sun shined down on the training grounds, casting long shadows across the dirt-covered field. Today, I had decided to add some other young wolves to the training. Of Course this was a request from Auren and I had decided to do so. Some of these little boys were his friends and he wanted to train with them. I saw no big deal with it and decided to train them together. The sounds of sparring filled the air, grunts of effort, the sharp smack of fists hitting training dummies, and the occasional yelp of pain. The children trained hard, their sweat mixing with the dust beneath their feet.I stood at the edge of the grounds, arms crossed as I observed them all.
