Tamara's POV

After the delicious, knee curling, intimate night with Dante, I lay cuddled against him, listening to the slow rhythm of his heartbeat. His warm muscular body pressed against me, his strong arm pulling me closer as I rested my head on his chest.

A sweet feeling of peace settled over me, something I really hadn’t felt in a long time. It was like being in his arms could chase away all the uncertainties I had swirling in my mind.

I looked up at him, smiling softly. "How did your meeting with your mom go?"

Dante shifted slightly, the faintest shadow crossing his face before he replied. “It went well enough, I suppose. My mother is always one for lectures, but we came to an understanding. She’s just... concerned about the future.”

I raised an eyebrow, catching the subtle way he danced around something. There was always more to the story with Dante, but I didn’t push. “I can imagine. I’m a little nervous to meet her,” I admitted.

His expression softened. “You’ll be fine. She’

We walked into the dining room, the warm scent of breakfast filling the air. Casper and Violet were already there, seated comfortably at the long oak table. They seemed lost in conversation, but as soon as we entered, Violet’s eyes lit up mischievously. ”Wow, you and Dante really took your precious time this morning, I wonder what made you so late,” Violet mind-linked me, her teasing tone making me blush immediately. I could feel my cheeks heat up as I glanced at her. ”Well what can I say, Dante... is very fond of me,” I replied, trying to keep my thoughts calm and composed, but it was hard when Violet was grinning like a cat who just caught a mouse. ”Fond of you? That’s one way to put it,” she teased, her grin widening as she raised an eyebrow suggestively. ”You’re glowing, Tamara.” I bit my lip, trying to suppress a giggle as I took my seat next to Dante. I couldn’t deny it—I was glowing, and it was all thanks to him. But I wasn’t about to admit that to Violet, at least not n

Problems? What was he talking about? My eyes met George’s, and the coldness in his gaze made me uncomfortable. I shifted in place, not understanding why he was coming at me like this. Last night, Dante made love to me like his life depended on it, he made sure i had cum at least three times before finally letting me go, even then, he had his arms wrapped tightly around me the entire time we slept. When I woke up, he was still there, pressed against me, refusing to let me go as if he feared I’d suddenly run away. I saw the tension in his body, and from our mating Bond, I could feel that he was scared I’d still regret coming into his pack, that I’d wake up and want to leave. His grip on me tightened every time I tried to move. "Dante," I whispered, shifting slightly to look up at him. His eyes were barely open, but I could see the worry there, the way his brows furrowed, and his jaw clenched. "Dante, we have to get up, you can't hold me in bed forever." I lightly scolded in amusement. But Dante didn't smile. “You don’t regret it, right? Being with me, do you still regret choosing to marry me?” His voice was rough with sleep, but there was a vulnerability in

Adrian’s POVThe sun was high in the sky when I stood outside Alpha Jonathan’s estate. I had come here reluctantly after agreeing to his request to review the evidence he claimed to have against Dante. Jonathan had suggested that together, we might be able to stand against Dante, to weaken his hold and reclaim what was rightfully ours.At first, I’d refused. The idea of joining forces with Jonathan didn’t sit well with me because He was a little unpredictable, and his motives always seemed to serve his own interests above all else. But when I reached out to Jack again hoping to pull him into the plan of destroying Dante, he turned me down flat.“I have no interest in fighting Dante. Tamara has made her decision to stay there and I believe she's happy now,” Jack had said. “That’s your obsession, not mine.”His words stung more than I cared to admit.
