I could sense some ugly news coming and I didn’t even have it in me to be angry. We had messed up greatly and despite my positive outlook, I knew that there was a possibility that we might not be able to fix the problem at hand. 

Five years was a long time to let things remain dormant and unless a silver lining appeared in the sky, there wasn’t much we could do as things stood.
