Chapter Sixty-Three

Shannon’s POV

I knew that I was running late but there was nothing I could do about it. Ricky had caught me when I wasn’t in the right frame of mind and I had to take my time.

Coming to breakfast unprepared would be a bad move on my part and it wouldn’t bode well for the plan I was supposed to carry out.

I could hear their voices from outside but I couldn’t make out the words.

The guards bowed as I walked past them and made my way inside the dining room. Immediately, silence fell upon the room.

I could feel their eyes on me as I made my way towards my chair. It felt rather uncomfortable but I managed to keep my cool. This was the first time they had been this interested in me and despite my calm demeanor, I was struggling to handle the attention.

Within a second, Ricky was standing next to me as he pulled out my chair and waited for me to sit, much to my surprise.
