Chapter Ninety

Ricky’s POV

“I can’t sit here and deny the truth anymore, Jules.”

I began. “You’re right with everything you’ve said, I can’t keep up this indecisiveness forever, you say you have no idea why I brought her here outside of the bargain we made, isn’t it? Well, I’ve thought long and hard about this and I think I know why I brought her here.”

“Let’s hear it.” Jules dropped his cup on the small table between us. “I just can’t shake off the feeling that whatever it is you’ve got to say would blow my head off.”

“The only thing I could come up with is that she needs to give us an heir before everything goes south. That’s the only lifeline I’ve got.”

Jules nodded, wearing a grim expression on his face. I could tell that he could foresee this blowing up in both our faces and no matter how hard I tried not to fuel that thought, I couldn’t imagine anything different.
