Eric
I wasn't surprised when my parents arranged a marriage for me. It was highly common. My own parents were arranged to marry and they had been together ever since, in a loveless marriage till death did them part. What a shitty way to live.
I was fucking angry about having to marry some girl. A fucking Italian girl to top it off. There was nothing wrong with Italian girls but she was in the mafia.
What would she even be like? Would our marriage be entirely loveless like my parents? Not that I cared, I would just tolerate her and have my way with other women behind her back, and I was sure she would do the same.
I wasn't even told of her name, what she looked like, or what she was like. But she was a woman. The boss of the Italian mafia. How could that be?
Women were weak and too emotional. She would be the destruction of the mafia. I chuckled at how the most fierce and depraved mafia in the world would fall at her hands. Everyone knew that only a man could run a mafia.
Perhaps she was put in charge because her father had no sons. But even then, that was quite irresponsible on his part. Still, I would have thought he would have passed it down to a man, regardless if he was blood or not.
My name was Eric Connall, the boss of the American mafia. At eighteen, I was handed the Mafia to control and to make it the most dominant in the world.
Now at twenty-five, I lived a lifestyle that involved drinking, drugs, and women. My mafia duties were not neglected, and I was known to be ruthless and unforgiving. People didn't dare cross my path because that was the last thing they would ever do.
That didn't mean I couldn't have fun. I glanced over at the redhead who was asleep in my bed. I didn't even know her name, and I didn't care. If I was getting married, I may as well have some enjoyment before I had to settle down in a miserable life. Fucking hell.
"You do know you are getting married, right?" My younger brother walked into my bedroom unannounced as he eyed me with a bored look.
Fuck, why would I care? It was not like I chose this woman, it was not like I wanted this and as a mafia boss I had a certain reputation to uphold: a bad reputation.
I scowled as I rubbed my eyes. "Get out, Sean!" I growled at him because his presence irritated me. More so because he was free to choose whomever he wanted to marry and I wasn't.
Why would my parents even agree to this? All because of some fucking alliance. Fucking hell, I could just take the Italian mafia if I wanted to.
The woman on my bed stirred and blinked her dark eyes wide open. For a second she looked petrified upon seeing Sean standing by the door. Then he looked towards me in hopes of some sort of comfort but I had none to offer.
"Leave," Sean ordered as he held the door open with a hand.
The woman quickly gathered her clothing and left the room in just her underwear. I groaned as I lay tangled in my bedsheets. The deep yellow glow of the sun threatened to spill into the room and did so when Sean kindly pulled open the curtains.
"Fuck!" I groaned as the light hit my pupils, waking me up entirely.
Sean smirked, running a hand through his dark hair, and rolled his shoulders. He was a fucking idiot half of the time but he was a decent man.
He was repulsed with the way women threw themselves at me and I let them, and how I used them for my own benefit and pleasure.
That was all I knew since father did the same to mother while mother pretended to be the virgin mother Mary when she really could give the devil a run for his money. And my dearest brother followed in my footsteps but he was more reserved.
"The Italian woman is coming tomorrow so clean up your act," Sean remarked as he eyed my messy bed, the corners of his lips twitching into a grimace.
"Who even let you in?" I asked as I sat up, frustrated with my lax security.
He grinned, showing his white teeth while he leaned against the wall, both hands in the pockets of his trousers. "I'm a likable person. Anyone would let me in." He smiled softly.
That was indeed true as his personality exuded friendliness, a trait I did not have. After all, a mafia was no place for weakness, and I had none.
Sean left the room a short while later after my ears bled listening to him drone on and on about being a good husband. I took a quick shower and got dressed in a pair of casual sweats and a shirt.
Heading to my gym, I took some time to run on the treadmill, to feel my body burn some energy. My house was big with four floors and had everything I could possibly want and need.
That was the luxury of being a powerful mafia boss. I worked hard to get what I had and no marriage was ever going to destroy that. No woman would ever destroy what I had built.
"How are you feeling about meeting the girl tomorrow?" Gabriel asked, his deep voice laced with a very subtle Italian accent.
I stopped running and looked toward my best friend and loyal guard. "I don't give a fuck," I said without hesitation. Why was she the hot topic on everyone's lips?
Gabriel looked almost disappointed, running a hand through his curly brown hair, his matching eyes glistening. "Would you at least try? You might find that you like her." He sighed.
Perhaps he knew something I didn't. I shook my head as I drank from a bottle, the water cooling me down. "Come on, you've known me for almost all of your life, and that's twenty fucking years. When have I ever liked women? They're nothing but a good fuck.”
When I said those words Gabriel nodded subtly and rubbed the back of his neck. Perhaps I could settle down. But it would take one hell of a woman to convince me otherwise. I was not sure what to think. I liked the life I had already.
I walked over to a punching bag that was strung up and began to beat it mercilessly. My punches were controlled and accurate as I imagined breaking someone's jaw and cutting their air supply with a single sharp blow to their neck.
"Your parents are here," Gabriel said, rushing the words out as he watched my muscles stiffen.
"Who let them in?" I scowled as I flexed my hands.
"Your brother," he said, already knowing how pissed I was.
"That little shit!" I growled as I grabbed a white towel and wiped the sweat that covered my neck and forehead.
I made my way toward the living room not caring about the state I was in. My parents could be insufferable at times, and mother especially knew how to wind people up.
I saw my parents in the brightly lit up living room. Mother wore a white dress as she sat on the white sofa, her legs crossed, her back straight as a pole. Father smoked a cigar as he stood by the window. He was a tall dark man. He was also a decent father and man in general.
"Eric, darling." Mother smiled upon meeting my gaze. Her soft brown eyes met my dark-as-coal ones. She stood up and sat back down as she decided against embracing me.
I doubted she would want to ruin her expensive dress with her son's sweat despite not seeing me for several weeks now.
"Son," Father greeted as he continued smoking.
"What are you doing here?" I asked as I crossed my muscled arms.
Fuck, I was irritated. I couldn't spend the day alone. No,o the whole family had to come and laugh at my situation.
Father chuckled lowly, a husky deep sound while Mother's smile disappeared. She hated anyone talking back to her.
"We just wanted to see how you were feeling. You know about the whole marriage thing." Mother smiled, her blush pink lips stretched out into a thin line.
"You know how I feel?" I scoffed feeling very much amused. "I'm against it. I do not want to get married,” I stated clearly.
Father walked towards me and stopped just a few feet away. "I do not care. You will marry the girl. Our reputation depends upon it. This alliance is the best thing to ever happen,” Father growled deeply, his fingers gripping his cigar tighter. "So you will shut the fuck up and do as you're told. I didn't raise an insolent son or I will hand the mafia to your brother," he added.
He was clearly threatening me and his threats were never empty. Sean spluttered out his drink as he stood silently watching in the room.
"But I do not want it Father." He gulped and wiped his lips of alcohol with the back of his hand. I could tell he was shitting himself. He never wanted the mafia.
Father's nostrils flared out in a rage and if it was possible, I did not doubt that steam would be coming out of his ears right now. "If you do not marry the girl, you will take over, Sean. Or I will personally murder you both and give it to someone worthy. Perhaps even this Italian girl." He scoffed to himself.
I narrowed my eyes at my father. Surely he wouldn't. Sean nodded and took another sip of his drink. He held back his tongue because he knew it was pointless. I had no choice but to marry. This was my fucking mafia, not Sean's and not father's.
Father stared at me, awaiting an answer. I was not stupid so I knew that I had to reply to him. "Very well," I answered, agreeing to it.
Father smirked as he patted my shoulder. "That's my son."
Soon after, my parents both left to return to their home. I took a seat on the edge of the coffee table and gestured to Gabriel with my hand.
He handed me a cigarette which I lit up, using his lighter. I inhaled the bitter smoke as I attempted to calm my rage.
"I'm sorry," Sean said as he looked down at me, still from across the room.
But it was not his fault. My life was written the day I was born. A life of having everything and nothing. I reassured Sean that I would do the right thing. If not for his sake, for my Mafia's sake.
I had a hunger for power and that woman had power. I wondered if maybe one day I could slit her throat and take over her mafia. It would be rightfully mine after all since she would be mine after we got married.
That night I tossed and turned in my empty bed. Sleep did not want to find me. I was beyond agitated. Fuck, I did not want this. But it wasn't the worst thing I could think of. Maybe it would be all right. Just maybe.
SiennaToday was the day I finally got to meet the man who would own me, and as Father put it very eloquently, I would be his bitch apparently. But I would rather stab out my own eyes and eat them than let someone own me. Who the fuck did these men think they were? I scowled as I looked into the full-length mirror. My attire didn't reflect what I thought, not in the slightest. My body was covered in a tight-fitting red silk dress. It had a deep v-neck and full-length arms. I wanted to hide my sore wrist, thanks to Father. The dress stopped at my naturally tanned thighs. Pairing the dress with red heels, I went for a simple look. Light makeup covered my face, and my dark hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail. There was nothing more powerful than dressing up. It made men weak, and I made men weak. I pressed my lips together which were painted with red lipstick. The red blended well with my tan skin and icy blue eyes. Cara entered my room after knocking. She eyed me and complim
EricSienna and her father left the house and I was still in a daze. Thawoman… She was no ordinary woman. There was something about her. She had power, and I felt it when she spoke. I felt her strength when she twisted my hand back. She was also quite fucking hot. Her father was a despicable man and I could sense it. He was fucking disgusting. Sienna never seemed to talk or laugh in his presence, or not as much as she did when he wasn't around her. I could feel their animosity towards each other. My parents looked at me with wide grins across their faces and I knew they wanted to talk about Sienna. "Well what did you think of her? She seems sweet," Mother commented. Sweet? I would not describe her as sweet. Oh, but I liked it when she swore. Father chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head. Sweet was not a word we used in the mafia. Fucking hell, we hardly even used it at all."She is fine," I lied effortlessly but really, she was more than just fine. Father beamed and patted my
Sienna Two fucking days. Two days of being rushed off my feet and dragged around mercilessly. I chose a wedding dress and it was quite decent but I just hated what it symbolized. This was really happening. There was nothing I could do to stop it. I didn't plead with my father. He would have beat me if I did that, and besides he was busy enjoying himself in different clubs all over the place. I glanced down at my freshly painted nails. They were in nude — which was not a color I would have chosen if the choice had been left to me — but they looked beautiful regardless. I was glad to be kept busy in a way, because I didn't have to interact with my father. He stayed far away and I was glad that he did so. Tonight was the last night before the big day and I chose to stay in bed and watch a horror movie. There was not much I wanted to do. Infact, if truth was to be told, I wanted to fall ill unexpectedly and ruin the wedding. And I knew that would surely piss my father off. I chuckled a
SiennaIf the wedding wasn't suffocating enough, I had to attend the after party. After all, it was my wedding. However, I would rather be anywhere but at Eric's house with a majority of people I wholeheartedly disliked and didn't give a shit about.I stood around, still in my wedding dress as I kept to myself. My father was deep in conversation with Eric's parents and I watched perplexed as he seemed to have laughed more than he had in the past month. The wrinkles on his forehead and around his eyes creased deeply with every smile.Sean was currently keeping me company because Eric disappeared to fuck knew where, but I hardly cared about that. Sean returned with two glasses of champagne, one of which he handed to me. I gladly took it from him and drank it in one gulp.He furrowed his eyebrows. "You good, Sienna?" he asked. I smiled as I handed my empty glass to a waiter. "I am absolutely perfect," I said as the smile on my face fell. Then I added, "I just want to leave. I am exhaust
SiennaI stared at him. He was dressed down but still looked like a god. No, a devil. I raised a brow and he chuckled deeply. "Don't tell me you forgot that I don't give a fuck. But if I were you, I would have already stabbed their eyes out," he said nonchalantly.I leaned back onto the fridge. Then I yawned as my heavy eyelids begged for sleep. Eric looked across the room at at my broken tiara as I rubbed my eyes. "Don't worry about that, I will get another one," I said as I looked down at the broken jewellery."Your father has already gone," he informed me. Fuck that man! That fucking bastard. So he left me here. He doesn't even fucking care, anyway, I thought."Well, I am leaving too," I said, sighing heavily as I rubbed my forehead. Then I started headed for the doorway but was stopped by Eric who immediately stepped in the way. "Stay the night. I insist," he said, staring directly at me. I don't have time for no games, Eric fucking Connall, I thought as I tried to read him bu
Sienna The next morning was unusual to say the least. I woke up to the smell of freshly baked pancakes and coffee. I really loved coffee just as I loved the scent. I groaned as I sat upright on the sofa and I thought of how uncomfortable it was. But I didn't expect to be taken to bed. Fuck, if he touched me, I would have killed him. "Good morning, sunshine," Eric called out from across the kitchen. I blinked hard as I stretched. Where the fuck was I? Oh right, I thought as I remembered that I was in Eric's house because he had asked me to stay here after the wedding. I stood up, ignoring him, and I headed upstairs to the bedroom I stayed in last night. Or more like didn't stay in. Upon getting dressed into a casual pair of skinny jeans and a T-shirt which I tucked in, I went downstairs. Cara was a lifesaver as she had brought me some clothing last night. But that didn't change the fact that she disappeared on me last night. When I walked back into the kitchen, I sat down on the
SiennaJust as I stood up, I saw Eric enter into the house. He looked surprised to see me but smiled nonetheless. His clothing was covered in deep crimson blood and so were his hands. I didn't know why, but I felt sudden panic when I saw the blood, which was stupid because I dealt with blood all the time."So this bit of business didn't require a gun?" I asked cheekily. He smirked as he flexed his hands, and I watched his built arms also flex as he showcased his perfectly sculpted muscles. "This bit of business was more personal," he finally replied.I nodded because I perfectly understood what he meant. But shit, I couldn't fall for him.I sighed softly before I asked, "Where is your first aid box?" As soon as I said that, his guard held a box out for me. And it was the same one Cara had an adorable little crush on. And I could even see why. "Thank you, " I replied, looking straight at him. The guard smiled politely. "I am Gabriel," he said, introducing himself. I nodded as I s
EricSienna returned to Italy for some business she had to take care of. I was a little disheartened when she did indeed leave. She was growing on me much more than I cared to admit.I also had some business that I had to take care of. Many bosses would sit on their thrones and let their advisors run their business for them, but not me. There was something about getting my hands dirty that drove me. It made me hungry for more power. That meant I had little time to myself but when I did, I made sure to enjoy it. I smiled to myself when the thought of taking Sienna out crossed my mind. Would she even want to go out with me? No. Fuck, I couldn't think like that.I knew I wasn't compassionate and loveable unlike Sean, and my heart sank at the possibility of Sienna rejecting me. Perhaps she would stay in Italy and never return to America. I wasn't good enough for her, I could never be. This marriage was nothing but a piece of paper like she said.I shook my head and headed for my basement.
SiennaFEW YEARS LATER"Fucking hurry up, please!" I said to the maids who scrambled to set out the dining room. Only the best cutlery and crystal glasses were being used for the occasion. The table would be lined with a white cloth and red placemats. I walked around the room in a black dress which hugged my curves perfectly. Oh, shit, did we have enough wine? Why were we so last minute? Everything was just disorganised.Eric and I were hosting a dinner party and it was going to be so fucking good. We invited a lot of, mostly family. They would be here soon and I wanted things ready. As usual, Eric was avoiding the dining room entirely because he knew that I would be in a bitchy mood. I could understand wh, but Inwas not always moody. I picked up a glass in my hand, turned it over and placed it down when I saw it that was devoid of fingerprints.Suddenly, I felt two small hands grasp my legs tightly and I chuckled before I looking down. "You look very handsome, my little man," I
Sienna "Come on. Where is he? I want to meet my nephew," Sean said as he looked around in excitement. He was just like a fucking hyperactive little dog. I smiled at how excited he was. "This way. He is asleep, so shut the fuck up." I chuckled as I led both of them to the living room. Their eyes landed on Rocco and then at the bundle in his arms. I watched Sean gulp as he refrained from talking for once in his life. Arthur looked proud, and his posture relaxed noticeably. He would be my child's only grandparent, and I was grateful for that. They both walked over to see him. Rocco untucked Lorenzo slightly so that they could see his face. Their gazes lingered on him as they admired him. "He is tiny," Sean whispered."Babies tend to be small, idiot," Rocco said to him, chuckling. They were both so fucking stupid. "Congratulations again, Sienna. I hope you don't mind me saying, but it looks like he takes after Eric," Arthur said softly while turning to look at me.I nodded my head.
Sienna One month had passed now and I was enjoying life with my new little addition. Giving birth was incredibly painful, but it was definitely the best thing I had ever done in my entire life. I certainly didn't plan on getting pregnant, at least not so soon, but right now, I wouldn't wish it any other way.My body was still aching and recovering. I was resting. I hardly did any other thing, except for taking care of Lorenzo. I wanted to do everything. I wanted to feed him, change him and bathe him. I didn't want him to be given off to nannies and nurses like I was. He was mine and I would take care of him. He was so vulnerable, so small, and he needed me. I would always be there for him.So I was sitting on a sofa, in the warm but comfortable living room, breastfeeding my son. He had a ferocious appetite. I had to make sure I ate enough so that I would produce enough for him. I looked down at his beautiful head of hair. I brushed it so many times with my fingers, just feeling th
EricFucking hell. It was a boy. My son. Our son.My knees almost buckled as I watched the nurse taking him to be cleaned and weighed. My heart slowed down and I felt tears falling from my eyes. I let them fall as my heart swelled with happiness. "You did it!" I exclaimed, smiling down at Sienna. Her face held a gentle smile as she closed her eyes. The next hour was a blur. Sienna was checked over and she was now sleeping as she was very exhausted. The room was cleaned and I was now sitting on the cushioned chair beside her bed. I didn't know what time it was but I was fucking tired and wide awake at the same time.Shortly after, the nurse came back with a small, quiet bundle in her arms. In fear, I wasn't even breathing at all for a short moment. She smiled and told me about the baby's health. How he was strong and healthy. Perfect. She asked if I wanted to hold him and a single tear ran down my cheek. I nodded, unable to speak. Then she handed me the bundle, instructing me to make
Eric I was startled awake by Vincent who was yelling in my face. "What the fuck?" I yelled, my voice deep and husky. Why was this fucking ass here, and more so, why did he wake me up? "Why did you wake me?" I growled as I rubbed my heavy eyes. I squinted as I looked at the man who seemed panicked. When I looked across the bed and saw that Sienna wasn't there, my heart almost stopped."She told me to get you immediately," Vincent said, wide eyed, his throat bobbing. I didn't waste any time, pulling on my trousers and grabbing a shirt. As I followed Vincent upstairs, ducking my head slightly to avoid the low roof, I could hear some groans. I pulled on my shirt as I stepped out of the inner part of the yacht.I saw Sienna tightly holding onto the rail as she breathed jaggedly. I could see that her body was shaking. "What is it?" I asked her with worry. I had already forgotten my interrupted sleep by now. As I headed for her, I saw a small puddle of water beneath her feet, and her
EricI pulled at the collar of my shirt, trying to cool myself down, as I headed home after going out for a job. Italy was warmer than home but it was a nice change. The people here were very disciplined. I only had to mention Sienna's name and they would go white as a sheet. And all I could think was how I even manage to be so lucky to have her as my partner.I walked inside the house to see Sienna laying on the sofa with her legs raised on a pillow. I was surprised that she was resting. "And I said, ‘let the fucking bitch rot in hell,’ and apparently that was too harsh on the poor girl." She chuckled. I took a seat on the sofa opposite her, looking down at some faint bruises along my knuckles. Sienna was laughing into the phone, talking to Cara about how Rocco dumped his latest girlfriend. She ended the call after a while and looked at me sideways. "What?" she asked when I didn't speak. I was just looking at her, seeing her beauty, seeing her beneath it all. "Let's go out," I sai
Eric"I understand. Do you think I sent them?" Harrison remarked. "I did not. I do not have plans which involve killing either one of you. That would be outrageously stupid of me and tell me, do I look stupid to you?" Harrison continued. Who would willingly wager a war between two Mafias where both sides were as formidable as each other? Not Harrison, not I and not Sienna either. The Russian Mafia was different. They had been really stupid to think they would dare Sienna and I and actually go scot free?“He is telling the truth. His body language is sincere," Sienna said to me in Italian, and she looked into my eyes briefly. "I believe so too," I replied in Italian too.Harrison cleared his throat and we looked back at him once more. "We are leaving now. We appreciate the honesty," I said as I stood up. "Come on, Eric. Let's play one game of poker. Do this for old times sake," Harrison said, smirking. I knew that he was still fucking mad at the fact that I beat him the last time w
EricShe blew out a breath of air and waited. It was only a few more minutes before Edward arrived.I greeted him, happy to see my friend again. "I am very glad Gabriel was... well, not dead," Edward said with a chuckle. "I am glad about it too. Now, can we please go inside?" Sienna spoke up. Perhaps she was eager to meet the man or maybe she needed the bathroom, who knew? Edward caught her eye and glanced down at her stomach which carried the next Mafia boss. And he or she would be the greatest. "Certainly. It's nice to see you, Sienna," he said as he reached out for her hand. She shook his hand, much to Edward’s disappointment. He wanted to kiss the back of it, but that job was strictly reserved only for me."Let's go and beat the shit out of him." Sienna chuckled, before she walked up to the door in her white sneakers. Edward and I looked at each other, completely unfazed as we kept on walking up to the door. Harrison was expecting us, so there was no doubt that he would put o
Eric When I looked across the spacious private plane, I saw Sienna taking a nap. She lay sprawled across two large leather seats. I placed a thick blanket over her. She was apparently bored as fuck and fucking tired of my remarks.I couldn't believe it. When I lost Gabriel it was like a part of me was missing. I didn't realize how much he impacted my life until he was gone. He truly was my best friend, and a brother to me. Fucking hell. And Sienna brought him back. She also mended the emptiness I felt. She was my world. I looked at her as she rested. I wouldn't change her for anything.I picked up my phone and held it to my ear after I dialed a number. "That better not be the fucking bitch," Sienna mumbled with a yawn as she stretched her arms."That was a quick nap." I smiled. She looked at me, her eyes looking damn mischievous. She shook her head at me and stood up, holding onto the seat. "Edward, hello. As you are aware, we are meeting Harrison as soon as we land. I would app
