"I know, brother. I'm big now and very responsible." Uwyn said as she smiled at Maru. He was the foundation of the family since her mother succumbed to sickness. She looked at him with love and adoration.

"Yes. You're a big girl now, Uwyn. Wait here." Maru said to his sister. He went outside to kill the light from the torch in order to conserve it for further usage.

"Come here, Uwyn. Don't make a noise, okay? We don't want to disturb mom's sleep." Maru said after he went inside and closed the door of the hut. He was now sitting on his bed. Both then huddled in the corner, away from their mother's ears.

"Okay, brother. Where's the surprise?" Uwyn whispered to her brother. She looked at Maru's hands to see if he was holding something but was disappointed. Her brother's palms were empty.

"Wait a moment, Uwyn. Just stay quiet for now." Maru said to his sister. He deliberately closed his eyes to give a mystical effect on

"Okay, brother." Uwyn replied. Her eyes were wide in excitement as she waited for her brother to do some magic."How come I know which are the food fabricator and the medicine fabricator, Madame Ais?" Maru asked the system after he closed his eyes in front of his sister. He and Uwyn don't know how to read. Even his mother, Olivia, also didn't know how to read and write. No books were present in their humble home. They could barely find food to eat. How could they afford those expensive books which contain knowledge from their ancestors? But Maru could see the different letters in the book and instinctively knows which is which between the two books."You are connected to the system, Maru. Items on your inventory will be recognized by you spontaneously." Madame Ais replied

"Okay. But first wait, Uwyn. I have something left to show you." Maru said to his sister."What is it, brother?" Uwyn asked Maru. She was curious about what other magical things her brother would let her see. Maybe another delicious food, she guessed cheerfully."It's a secret for now. Let me concentrate, okay? So that my magic can work." Maru asked his sister, Uwyn.".........…." Uwyn didn't reply with words but only motioned a zipping action with a hand on her mouth as her bright big eyes waited for another surprise, expecting to see her brother's magic once again. She was quite playful and energetic after she consumed one Fairy Yumyum and finished her milk.

"Get your sister to her bed, Maru." Olivia said to her son. After ten minutes of crying, she saw her daughter had fallen asleep already. Her position was quite uncomfortable as her knees were alighted in the hard wood of her brother's makeshift bed. Maru perfectly mirrored her situation."Okay, mom." Maru answered his mother. His voice was hoarse from crying so much. He went around his mother's cot and lifted Uwyn. Although he was thinner than his sister, that doesn't mean that he was weaker. His year in the slums, hiding and running away from the bullies, had raised his strength as well as his physical endurance. Maru even felt stronger now since Madame Ais had healed him. Uwyn weighed like feathers in his arms."Can you tell me what happened, Maru? Why were you two cryi

"Thank you, Maru." Olivia whispered while her son was hugging her after she cried for about two minutes. Both rarely had the opportunity to talk but that does not mean that the love they felt inside was any lesser. She thanked the heavens that she was given a son like Maru. Her husband may have left her. But he also left behind two wonderful gifts. Her children were her life now. They were the ones that sustained her to fight this sickness."I have something for you, mom." Maru said in reply to his mother. He disengaged from the hug and a basket appeared out of thin air between them. Her mom wasn't aware of the magical thing before her. She only saw her son reached for something in his front and then a bottle magically materialized atop his outstretched hand."So it's rea

"Yes we will, Uwyn. Not tomorrow, okay? But someday, we will." Maru replied to his sister. He knew that being isolated out here in the wilderness was not good for them. They can live here indefinitely but that would also mean that they could not relate with other people. Uwyn misses her friends and even if she doesn't show it, she misses the city very much. Even though life was still hard there, at least she could have fun with children her age and play until sunset. That was why she cried so much when they left the city before."You promise!?" Uwyn asked her brother immediately. Her hope of coming back into the city was renewed after she heard Maru's words. She wanted to know how her friends were by now and if they were missing her also. What she felt was the intense longing of returning to their home. It was also home here. But their home ins

"Thank you and goodnight, Madame Ais! Talk to you tomorrow, okay?" Maru said to the system when he could think of no more things to do. He finally let sleep take him away into the land of dreams after he saw that his world energy did not amount to a thousand. Hopefully tomorrow he could already buy the Armor Fabricator for Uwyn and his mother, was Maru's last thought."Affirmative, Maru." Madame Ais replied to its host. But her words were no longer heard by Maru. Only a child's snore resounded inside the modest hut."Activating System Defense Mode…1%2%

"Shall we send a team to find them, chief?" a one eyed bandit who stood uneasily reported to a man who was seated on a big wooden throne. The chair was too big for his size but the man sat there as if he commanded the low lives under all of heaven."How long had they been gone, One Eye?" the man asked his subordinate. He never looked at him but continued to stare at the goblet he was holding. The dark robe he wore intensified the mysterious effect that he projected towards his lone audience."Almost three hours already, chief." One Eye Rodrek answered to his chief, Sakar. He was one of the few bandits who earned nicknames in their camp. Only the strange and the strong were granted the honor of having one. Thus, he was quite proud of his accomplishment. His name One Eye Ro

"What are those, master?" Chief Sakar asked towards the masked expert. He saw metallic braces same as what he noted on the silent companion of the boy. They were inside a magical sack that materialized with only a wave of a hand. This most probably came from a storage ring, he thought."As I said, it is a gift from the master. You may address me as Mistress Ais. Get one and put it on your neck, mortals." The masked boy replied to the enquiry of Chief Sakar."You heard Mistress Ais. Do it!" Chief Sakar shouted and a line formed to enact the command of their new superior. The fatal deterrence of the powerful assured a silent assent to the collection, both bandits and slaves. A total of 321 people."Yo

Maru was more than happy to take a break from everything—even from the responsibilities that came with his many wives and his realm-shaking reputation. Escaping into the mortal world for a time was like a breath of fresh air, a rare chance to experience life without the burdens of status and power. As he adjusted to this new identity, Maru sifted through the memories of the young man whose life he now occupied. The memories painted a bleak picture: this young Maru was impoverished, scraping by from a family with little to their name. For someone accustomed to wealth, influence, and resources beyond mortal comprehension, this was, to put it mildly, inconvenient."I’ll have to change that," Maru muttered to himself, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. He strolled down to the nearest gas station, where he purchased a lottery ticket with casual confidence. With a bit of energy concealed within a playful flick of his finger, he ensured that fate would work in his favor. A week la

Universes rose and fell on his whims, stars burned bright and were extinguished with a mere thought, and entire civilizations either flourished or crumbled at his command.Maru's power was absolute, his authority unmatched, and yet, after countless eons of this existence, he found himself feeling something he had not anticipated—boredom. He had seen it all, lived through it all. Every challenge the multiverse had to

In a mystical world within the body of an immortal, a great ruckus was happening. “Master! It has appeared once again!” A good disciple knelt on the floor. He prostrated before his teacher which had given him his everything in short. This very man had saved him in the past and until this day, he has not forgotten his pledge of allegiance and service to this person. The disciple was content in doing so. He had no ambitions for himself, only to the happiness of his benefactor. To call him a slave was much more fitting than a disciple in this day and age. “Gather all your brothers and sisters. We shall go at once.” An aged man answered with a serious face on him. He was old and full of wrinkles. His age almost to the limit of what could be achieved with his cultivation base. Nevertheless, the majesty of his stance was a perfect picture of what a true powerhouse truly was. This man had been alive on this world for more than one thousand years already. It was both an accomplishment i

“Speak.” An old dying voice replied. His body seemed ancient alongside the timeless aspect of his voice. Perhaps the only consolation that could be found on him today was the quality of his cultivators robes. At first glance alone, anybody that has eyes could easily determine that it was not made of poor materials at all. This old man was of course the master of Dragon Conqueror Pavilion. “There was a group of people looking a specific cultivation manual earlier, master. They wanted Soul Birth Realm training scrolls.” Kong Jin reported. She knew that the implications of her words would not be lost on his smart master. And indeed it was not. “DING!” The old man opened his eyes and one could notice the blazing fire in them. The atmosphere in the room immediately surged up and this has made the beautiful Kong Jin tremble in place. But reaction was not out of fear but surprisingly because of her extreme excitement. Maru took this threat in silence. He would of course not waste his breath upon somebody who did not heed his advice from the start.“Kill every single one of them but leave the foolish young master alive.” The Core Origin Realm Cultivator instructed his minions.“Hehehe. “Please take care on your way, Hong’er.” Ye Hanya said unto her son.Even though she knew that Ye Hong was already more than capable enough of taking care of himself but it was always a mother’s job to worry for her young one.She really could not be blamed for that at all.“I will, mom.” Maru smiled at his mother. He then looked at Ye Jia and nodded at his old man.The latter was a lot more confident and composed than Ye Hanya and it could be seen from this act alone on how Ye Jia became the Patriarch of Ye after all these years. His strong character was only the least of his myriad qualities. “Let’s go, Yin Lan.” Maru called and before long, a beautiful woman p

Maru arrived at the Ye domains. At once glance, he could see that there were more people inside it than when he left. It was obvious that there were more homeless and poor citizens of Whitecrest who chose to seek refuge in the clan. His parents Ye Jia and Ye Hanya knew of their son’s heart and thus gladly accepted to feed and give shelter to these people. From the initial 1,000 hapless souls, the count had already five fold at this time. Fortunately for all, the expense of having these families was too insignificant for the rich Ye family. But if these 5,000 men, women, and children were to be cultivated then that was a whole nother matter entirely. Resources like spirit stones were extremely limited even for a big clan like the Ye. “It’s been two long years, huh?” Maru smiled and began walking in slow steps towards the large
